About Rosie

I have indepth local knowledge of the area as I have been living here for over 12 years and have been involved in both the sales and rental property market.

Rosie purchased this apartment in 2009

Why Rosie chose Lake Como

I bought this beautiful two bed apartment as it is in the most beautiful part of Lake Como, has a micro climate, spectacular views, fantastic outside living space and its central location on the lake means everything is close by.

What makes this apartment unique

Luxuriously finished with all the mod cons to allow for a fantastic holiday, relax on the terraces, enjoy breakfast on the balcony, soak up the sun in the landscaped private garden with stunning uninterrupted lake views. The convenience of being 5 minutes away from the lake, restaurants, ferry stop, shops and lots of villages to explore as well as the convenience of Como city, Milan and Switzerland on your doorstep.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Stunning, wonderful, beautiful

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and son-in-law stayed here in early October. It is even better than we had anticipated. The view is incredible. The apartment, though small, looks very big because of the lovely terraces and views of the Lake. Both bedrooms have unobstructed lake views. The beds are comfortable with lots of extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Rosie did not exaggerate at all about the beauty of this apartment. I'm back in the States now going over my pictures and our trip (a much happier thing to do than think about our election results - sorry) and looking at the pictures of the apartment has lifted my spirits. In addition, the apartment is very private and easy to get to. The parking garage was too small for our car (a station wagon that could accommodate 4 people) but there was always a space right at the top of the driveway. And to have a washer/dryer was just wonderful. We had fantastic weather and took advantage of walking the greenway almost to Lenno. Visited the Carlotta Gardens, took a ferry to Bellagio, drove to the city of Como and road the funicular to the top and had an unbelievable lunch. We even took a drive up to St Moritz (we like Como better). The last day we hiked to the San Marino Chapel which gives a panoramic view. All in all, this was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Thank you, Rosie. We were just delighted. Robin & Eddie

Book It Now!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with my Mom for five days for our first visit to the Lakes region. If you are even considering this property, don't hesitate, just book it. Kusun met us and was incredibly nice, helpful and patient with all our questions. The apartment was spotless, and has everything and more, as the last reviewer mentioned - if you drive and park around the Lakes at all, you'll realize how fantastic having the private garage is! Rosie really has thought of everything. The views are even more spectacular than in the photos, and we both thought the apartment was larger than expected when we arrived. It was lovely sitting on any of the terraces morning or night. The town of Colonno is quiet and super charming. We enjoyed a nice lunch in Argegno, too, which is right down the road.

What a tranquil and beautiful spot. Would definitely stay again (we didn't want to leave!).

great value

  • 5 of 5

besides the lovely view and spacious living area, the owner has thought of everything. you have an elevator, no stairs, your own garage, your own separate laundry room, well stocked with supplies and a guest book filled with local information. only 3 to 4 miles to the ferry dock.near the major villas and gardens. You sit on the balcony and the road below is hidden . it is very quiet. you here the church bells ring to add to the atmosphere. it should be priced higher, your getting great value. The picture of the views from the balcony really cant capture the true panoramic view your going to see.

BRILLIANT ACCOMMODATION

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely superb accommodation in a breath-takingly beautiful part of this lovely area. The accommodation and facilities are all that anyone could wish for. Spotlessly clean and well presented. Spacious and gracious. My only regret is that I cannot award more than 5 stars. Without doubt on top of our "desire" list when we return to this piece of heaven on earth. Excellent facilities and restaurants within very easy distance. Top recommendation.

Incredible home and views!! Stay here, you won't regret it!

  • 5 of 5

This rental was incredible, and is clearly someone's HOME, not just an apartment to be rented. The level of detail and thought visible in this place was outstanding. Hampers for dirty clothes in each bedroom, EVERYTHING you could possibly need in the fully equipped kitchen, plenty of sun chairs, and much more. The complete and private laundry room was also very useful. Lastly, the pictures don't do the view from this place justice. Stay here, you won't be sorry! Thank you, Rosie, for letting us stay in your lovely home!!!

Magical views of Lake Como

  • 5 of 5

Following many months of online research from Australia I chose La Bella Vista for my winter sabbatical in northern Italy at Lake Como.

Rosie was extremely helpful with her advice and support from the very first contact I had with her and has thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

On my arrival to the apartment I was absolutely sure that I had made the right decision to stay in La Bella Vista!

Everything about the apartment was more than a dream come true; it was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The moment I arrived my breath was taken away by the dramatic ,stunning view of magical Lago di Como from every room.

The amazing apartment, perfectly designed was more than I had imagined, quality furnishings and linen, great attention to detail; it had everything I needed and more. It is private with an internal garage and very well appointed to take advantage of the beautiful winter sun in the morning and to also enjoy the magical vista of the snow-capped mountains across the lake.

It is an apartment and village that I would like to keep secret for myself; it really is a little piece of heaven. The authentic Italian village and the residents of Colonno and neighbouring villages provided me the opportunity to truly experience the Italian la dolce vita .

The location of the apartment block on the lake is ideal. A short 15minutes drive, or a ferry ride on the lake from the historic centre of Como and in the opposite direction an enchanting lakeshore 15 minute drive to Mennagio and beyond . It is also perfectly located for many manageable trips to places in the north of Italy such as Milan , the northern alps of Italy and also into Switzerland.

I continue to share with my family and friends and show them photos of my little piece of heaven. Rosie my time spent at Lake Como in La Bella Vista was truly magical, inspiring and was the perfect place to enjoy la dolce vita in an authentic Italian village and also to heal my heart and soul and I thank you.

Mille grazie, Rosie

In nearby towns in northern Italy and Switzerland there are Christmas markets - and for something special take a day trip to Switzerland’s Montreux where you can take a cogwheel train up the snowy alps to visit Santa Claus.

Being so close to Switzerland and the Italian Alps, skiing is an easy option in winter, as is cycling and hiking at lower altitudes.

You can enjoy skiing in the Valtellina at the wonderful village of Madesimo; visit Bormia and enjoy their 50 km of ski slopes or take a trip on a dog led sledge; ski the family resort of Chiesa Valmalenco or the wonderful slopes of Livigno. Skiing Switzerland is also an easy option, with San Bernadino just over an hour away and St Moritz a little further.

Spring is a true delight as the lake blooms with the warmer weather, the gardens are spectacular and hiking in the nearby valleys and alps is a pure pleasure!

So to inspire you in your holiday planning..here’s some things to do:

Notes:
Sport: It is hard to believe that you are only a few kilometers away from Milan when you are skiing down the slopes or are paddling in your canoe or in a white-water raft or while the wind is billowing your sails in the middle of a lake or you are walking down an alpine footpath which seems to be leading directly up to the sky. Every season offers something special in the region and in our town. During summer the lake is the focus with boating, swimming and lots of festivals and concerts from May through to October including the Festival Lago di Como. Summer nights are warm and light till late - and everyone is out enjoying a fabulous meal and a late “passeggiata”. Autumn is the season of colours where the wonderful woods and gardens of the lake and surrounding valleys take on their orange, yellow and red hues. Festivals are everywhere – celebrating chestnuts, pumpkins and even witches! A morning of hiking, walking in the woods or mountain biking.
