Why The Owner chose Central

Our family has enjoyed Weekend Getaways for several years. We have rented many cabins across Minnesota and completely fell in love with the cabin at Roosevelt Pines. The cabin was everything we expected and more. When it became available to purchase, we knew deep down that it was meant to be! We have enjoyed making memories with our family and we want to provide that same experience for others. T.R.'s Lodge is located 1 3/4 miles from Outing,MN. It's near Roosevelt Lake which was named for President Theodore Roosevelt. We named the cabin T.R.'s Lodge in honor of President Theodore Roosevelt as well. We love his whole-hearted devotion to family life and his passion for the Great Outdoors.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We came to this cabin in Roosevelt Pines exhausted in body, mind and spirit. Here we have found peace, rest and restoration for which we are very grateful. Everything about the cabin is so cozy and snug, you can't help but relax and let your cares melt away. We're only sad about one thing- having to leave it today. Thank you for creating this Northwoods haven. We hope to return one day and introduce it to our children and grandchildren."

Beautiful, relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had such a nice weekend and even played a little croquet! It is stocked with almost everything you would need. I did however forget bathroom towels which was a bummer. Wish there were a few on had at the cabin just in case :)

Five Stars!

  • 5 of 5

Five star rating because five was the limit. Spotless, well maintained, quiet, perfect Northwoods getaway. The owners couldn't have been nicer. We came to Minnesota for the awesome bike trails and found a great place to kick back after a day of riding. Not recommended for those that like noise and crowds. Otherwise, this is exactly the place for you!

Thank you Erin and Enik

Find enjoyment in people again

  • 5 of 5

Being away from all the craziness of the world. We enjoyed each other and had time to breathe. The cabin was cozy and welcoming. Even though it was pure mud because of the season the landscape was wonderful. Just had to clean some paws. It was what we needed and decided that some day we will have a place like this. I can only imagine how much fun it is when it's not muddy. There were so many fun games in the shed but we didn't want to muckify everything. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a fabulous property that we visited with our two dogs. The owners were very helpful and responsive. I'm only sorry it took so long to write a review! The place is very clean, super charming, cozy and private. A lovely setting in the trees and in a really nice area in general. We are both runners and had a great many runs in the snow on the roads and trails. A fun area with some cute little bars and restaurants.

Bring your own bed linens (or sleeping bag), towels, etc. and we ask that our guests clean when they leave unless special arrangements are made in advance. You'll find basic spices, utensils, a DVD player, and more than likely popcorn, marshmallows, coco, coffee, and tons of firewood for the fire pit, along with a couple of steak grills, sandwich makers, and hot dog or marshmallow sticks. Sure beats complimentary bagels for breakfast at a motel! Plus...there's a great little grocery store just over a mile away. You'll enjoy the pine-paneled, heated LITTLE office for creative thinking/reading/writing/planning in half of woodshed complete with book shelves and a fold-up desk.
