We call our home the 'The Crow's Nest' because you must climb 31 steps to the deck and main entrance. The view on the deck and from the front of the house is extraordinary.
We have furnished the home luxuriously with Turkish towels, fine linens, down pillows and comforters. The sofas are comfortable new leather and we have a very unique entertainment center made like a boat and a one of a kind custom built electric fireplace.
The kitchen is completely furnished with all new cookware and service ware. We have all the bar utensils and glassware you will need, but remember BYOB. There are beautiful sunsets to be seen from dining the room window.
Barview Jetty Park is across the street and from there you can walk on the beach all the way to Nehalem Bay (8 miles). From the deck you can see the historic Bayocean Spit that separates Tillamook Bay from the Pacific, it offers 4.5 miles of hiking trails along the bay and you can walk back along the ocean.
The Port of Garabaldi is 1.5 miles and offers charter deep sea fishing, a boat ramp & moorage and there is a public pier from which you can fish or catch crab.
If you like to kayak the Tillamook County Water Trail received recognition this summer as a National Recreation Trail. This non-motorized waterway system offers 250 navigable miles of paddling for every skill from novice to advanced whitewater.
We are 15 min. from the Tillamook Cheese Factory which offers free tours, cheese samples and yummy cones. Just down the road is the Blue Heron French Cheese Company specializing in Brie, they also have free jellies, sauces & syrup to sample, and a wine tasting room with samples of Oregon wines. The Tillamook Air Museum is housed in a WW II blimp hangar which is the largest wooden structure in the world and contains one of the country's top private World War II aircraft collections.
Whether you want to be entertained or entertain yourself you will find the opportunity.

About Barbara , Bill & Candice
We are a retired tavern owner and a retired master carpenter. We have spent several years remodeling this property in our spare time and have had fun doing it. We are very happy with the results and think you will be as well.
Barbara , Bill & Candice purchased this House in 2006
Why Barbara , Bill & Candice chose Rockaway Beach
I had grown kohlrabi in my garden and was bringing some to a German friend. I had not been to his house before. When I reached the top of the steps and saw the wonderful view of Barview Jetty, the boat traffic in & out of Tillamook Bay and the ocean crashing off of the jetty I fell in love with the place. A few years later I was able to buy this home from him.
What makes this House unique
I enjoy the quiet and privacy of the place. It is next door to fishing, crabbing, kayaking and the miles of sandy ocean beaches. The central location makes day trips to North to Astoria or South to Pacific city very convenient. I like the fact that everything in the home is new, and of course the big deck and outstanding views and sunsets.

Good for any weather!!!
During our 2 night, 3 day stay, the weather was from stormy on the first day and sunny without coats on the last. The view of the storm was great and there is plenty to do inside!! The decor was just right--part feminine, part masculine. Going back for sure!!!
We had a great stay at The Crow’s Nest!
Great location and everything we needed! Very relaxing!
Great spot for a weekend getaway!
This is a lovely spot for a couple's getaway. The cottage is tidy, nicely appointed, and perfectly situated for staying in and reading or getting out and exploring. It's on a quiet, dead-end street, and well above ground level, giving it a very private feel.
The view of the bar is excellent--we visited during a stormy weekend during which the bar was closed to most vessels, so the only traffic was Coast Guard motor life boats. Had we visited during warmer weather, we would have spent a lot of time on the deck, soaking in the view and watching sunsets.
Romantic Get away
The little house was beautiful and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was lovely and stayed warm. Only suggestion is too maybe update the coffee pot. otherwise the place is perfect! Although the view was blocked by the house and tree in front of the porch their was still a beautiful view of the sunset. It was also just a short walk down to the jetty to view the tide coming in or out. My husband and I enjoyed walking along the shore collecting shells and rocks when were not just relaxing on the comfy couch or cooking. It wasn't too far from the Three Graces tide pools. Which was awesome to explore. We ventured off to Oceanside and explored there for a few hours. Such a beautiful place. Peaceful and adventures compared to Seaside and Cannon Beach. We had a lovely time and plan on visiting again soon. Thank you for loaning your beautiful home to us for a very relaxing and lovely romantic weekend.
Neat and tidy. Great location. Wonderful view. Would love it to have a bigger bed😊
Fall at the Coast
Could not have asked for more beautiful weather. 80 degrees, no wind. So close to the beach and the jetty. Watched the fishing boats and the Coast Guard out on the water. Coast Guard was just practicing maneuvers. Loved our stay at the Crow's Nest. Tons of room and had all the comforts of home!! Thank you Barbara, Bill & Candice!!
Jetty Fishing, Crabbing, Clamming, Deep Sea Charters, Storm Watching, next to Barview park, miles of beach and hiking trails.
