Do not stay here.

It was TINY!!! I wish I had stayed in a hotel for the same price. It wasn't a very pleasant indoor space.

Awesome Tropical Casita

  • 5 of 5

We loved the Mountaintop Retreat Casita! Queen size bed, spacious bathroom, private balcony and very clean and tidy. Air conditioning, large fan, plenty of basic cookware and utensils for use in the microwave.

The location is very quiet and private with no CHICKENS. We really enjoyed the peaceful tropical jungle right outside with all the lovely birds feeding on the native fruit trees. Definitely bring a bird book to look up those beauties.

A steep narrow road leads up to the property but we did not find this much of an inconvenience. Rincon is about 10 minutes in one direction and Puntas about 10 in the other, with Steps Beach and Marine Reserve right across the street. Quick access to restaurants, beaches, grocery all other necessaries.

The only thing we missed were beach chairs and somewhere to hang wet bathing suits and towels. We would definitely return to The Casita again and highly recommend this lovely little place to friends and family!

Thanks Tim and Kim for a great vacation.

Great Views

Notes on the location:

If you are a nervous driver I wouldn’t recommend this location. The road to get to this property is extremely steep and has many twists and turns.

The directions given to us to get here from the San Juan airport were very confusing because they used phrases such as turn right at the McDonald’s or Walgreens when there were several of those establishments on the same road. So to be safe I would recommend using a GPS.

Notes on the actual property:

Almost all of the furniture is not very high quality, which is fine but you need to be very careful. The towel rack fell down after every time we tried to hang something up, so we spent a decent amount of time hooking it back onto the wall.

The bottom bunk of the bed was not held with a bed frame but instead with cement blocks covered with a bed sheet and a mattress on top. My fiancé said he didn’t feel the difference but because I have a bad back, it did cause some discomfort.

Notes on the Property Owner:

He was not in PR when we stayed here on vacation, but as I said we did get lost on our way to the property and when we called him for directions he was very short with us. When we were driving the phone accidentally clicked off and when we called him back he threatened to kick us out, and not let us stay there. While speaking with another guest we were told that he also threatened to kick them out for using a swear word in a private conversation.

All-in-all the property itself was gorgeous and the views were excellent. The location is close to the beach and had a great deal of foliage around. We just wish we would have been able to relax here while on vacation rather than constantly worrying about weather or not the owner was going to threaten us with kicking us out over trivial things.

Owner's Response: Our hill is steep however that is what gives us our beautiful views. Of the 30 guests this year these were the first to get lost. In our directions we supply address for GPS. These folks said that their GPS was broken. Admittedly the Casita furniture is not of IKEA quality however, it is functional/very clean. I also suffer from a bad back. I modified bunk beds with extra plywood support specifically for that reason. We were not aware of towel rack/since been corrected. I was not in Puerto Rico upon their arrival. When they called at midnight explaining they were lost, they were in a panicked/agitated state. Jill's fiancé was screaming and very abusive in the back ground. I did however, very calmly stay with them on the phone through several panicked calls assuring them I would guide them to Rincon. They claimed they had been driving for 12 hrs this would be enough time to circumvent the island 3 times. Finally on their 5th call at 1am, they said they were in Rincon. This time I spoke with Jill's Fiance directly. He threatened to throw the phone out the window, used foul language then hung up on me. On 6th call, I told him to please calm down, that it was imperative that he did not exhibit this behavior once he arrived at my property or I would have him removed as I had several other guests already there enjoying the quiet solitude of Endless Views. I explain to all guests that this a family compound designed for quiet solitude and not an area for drunken spring breakers or domestic disputes. The following evening my other guests called complaining that someone below them was intoxicated, speaking loudly with extremely bad language and smoking. I called that guest, told him to read his contract and rules. He apologized and it never happened again. Jill/fiance were very quiet/respectful for their stay. We do enforce the rules stated clearly in the contract. Common sense and respect for others goes a long way especially while traveling. I take pride in my quick response time whether in PR or not and of how I handled these young guests in this instance enabling all my guests, including them, to have a peaceful enjoyable stay. So if your are a potential guest reading this rest assured that you will have a peaceful/ quiet/ nonsmoking stay here at Endless Views.

Jungle Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying at the casita during our trip to Rincon. Finding the house the first time is a little tricky, but after that, it's easy. Sitting at the very top of a mountain, the casita was quiet, secluded, and surrounded by beautiful greenery and ocean. Amazing sunset views from the private porch! An awesome breakfast spot (the English Rose) is located within walking distance (it's the next property over.. but get there early because it's small and they get packed quickly!) and great restaurants and a coffee shop (banana dang) are just down the hill. The beaches are amazing and located a very short drive away. If you like to surf, want to learn to surf, or like to watch surfers in their element, these beaches are for you. There are more quiet - and calm - beaches nearby as well. All in all, if you're looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing scenery and laid back feel, stay here. We'll definitely be back.

Perfect little escape

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Casita. Great location, high above all the best surf spots. The views were beautiful and the peace and quiet was very welcome. The property was described exactly as it is and the owners were very easy to work with. We'd reccommend it for sure. Would definitely stay again! Thanks!

Great Long Weekend in Rincon

  • 5 of 5

I've been traveling to Rincon, at least once a winter for the past 5 years. I've stayed in many different situations. From hotels to guest houses to B&Bs, etc... Tim & Kim's little purple casita, was by far the best place I have stayed. gorgeous, lush, tropical surroundings. Up the hill from tres palmas, it is secluded and QUIET. but only 5 minutes away to restaurants, bars and beaches. Balcony had amazing sunsets. The casita is surrounded by banana trees, and Tim told us to help ourselves to the ripe ones. delicious! This is a perfect retreat for 1-2 people. This is the only place I will return to in my future trips to Rincon! Thanks again Tim and Kim!

Rincon is famous for it's world class surfing since hosting the world championship in 1968. We are 1/2 mi from Tres Palmas Beach where you can watch or ride the largest rideable wave in the Caribbean. This property provides access to both sides of the point. Tres, Marias and Domes are in front of this property, and Pools, Sandy Beach and Antonios are behind us. Take fishing charters, scuba diving exhibitions, whale watching tours and parasailing from the marina we overlook. There is a dive shop at the marina if you want to rent gear or adventure further off shore. Lazzy Parrot, Casa Verde, Tamboo, The Spot and many more restaurants are all close and great for entertainment as well.
