About Christian Dreyer
I am person who loves to travel, specifically snowboarding or surfing. Having had the opportunity to snowboard in Colorado and loving the terrain and the village setup I bought a place. I want to share this great community with people looking for a great time. (Took my picture hiking, with Copper Village in the background.)
Christian Dreyer purchased this Condo in 2009
Why Christian Dreyer chose Copper Mountain
I love the outdoors and but I like having all the creature comforts close by. You can spend all day outside; skiing, snowboarding, hiking, rafting, etc. Then you have hot tub, restaurants, shops, bars, nightlife, etc. All of it right at your fingertips as you walk out the front door.
What makes this Condo unique
If you have children this is the place to be. With the ski school and slopes across the street you can go ski yourself or drop them off, sit at the bar/restaurant, or go back to the condo and relax.

Near lifts, near ski school great for trip with kids, great deck
This condo can credibly be described as "ski-in ski-out". You have to walk across a little foot bridge over a creek just across the drive from the condo, walk a few yards up the path, put your skis on and get on the lift. At the end of the day you can ski across the little bridge practically right up to your door. The West Village ski lodge and the ski school are right up the drive about 100 yards away from the condo. I was with my kids who were skiing for their first time, so being right next to the lifts AND the ski school was a huge plus for us. We never had to wait for a shuttle or walk through a village with our ski boots on, and we could walk out of the door to the condo 10 minutes before their lessons started. The ski school was excellent, the kids were skiing on their own after one lesson. The lesson was from 9:30 to 3:00, so it gave me a whole day to ski on my own while the kids learned. The runs on the West side of the mountain were good for beginners and intermediate skiers - many of the green runs were challenging and felt like easy blues. Our favorite was to take Union Creek lift to Timberline lift, and then ski down Soliloquy. Lumberjack lift to Roundabout was also nice. The views from the top of the mountain were as good as any I've seen. The condo was very comfortable. The 2nd floor patio was amazing, and the grill with the direct gas connection lit on the first push every time. We bought hamburgers and steaks in Frisco and cooked on the grill every night. The kitchen was well equipped. The décor, the bedding, the towels, etc., were not exactly what I would call "high end", but that didn't matter to us so much because we kind of made a mess of the place while we were there so a more "luxury" accommodation would have been lost on us. The price was reasonable and reflects this, and I was happy to pay what we paid. Traveling with kids this place was the perfect accommodation for the perfect ski trip and I would definitely stay here again.
Great location, but bring your own supplies!
- Walking distance from Kokomo and Union Creek lifts, but not ski-in/ski-out as LindseyP posted below.
- Gas fireplace adds to the ambiance and provides a lot of heat in living room. We had a difficult time figuring out how to turn it on, but a switch/timer is on the wall to right of LR TV.
- Nice size unit. Plenty of room for my teenage son and me. Two more people could have easily been accommodated.
- The cleaning fee does not include disposal of trash, dishwashing, or removal of sheets and towels. Fee seemed high for remaining work left to cleaning crew.
- There was soap/shampoo scum on ledge of bathtub and crumbs in the frig. So, even the small amount of remaining cleaning was not done very well.
- There is no ice maker or even ice trays to make your own ice.
- The only TP or paper towels that existed were the existing ones on the roll. You will need to buy your own, if you are there for more than a day or two.
- This unit did not provide travel-sized bar soap or shampoo like some other VRBO condos I have rented. This would have been ok, if I had known ahead of time. We had to drive back to Frisco to get these supplies bc the market in Center Village closes at 5:00 p.m.
- There is definitely a white film on the glasses as others have mentioned. It must be from hard water in the dishwasher. Glasses look fine if they are hand-washed, though.
Quiet, peaceful and close to the hill!!!!
Nice size for 3-4 people.
When we first arrived, we noticed how much space this unit had compared to others at Copper that sleep 3-4. We also liked how close to the ski school it is. It is truly just steps to the school house. The only true negative was that there was a lot of dust and crumbs on the counters and the stove when we arrived. A quick wipe down and it was good to go. The only other observation is that it is a short walk or shuttle ride to all of the shops and restaurants at center village. Overall this is a great unit.
Great location to ski school
Great condo for a family of 4 with kids in ski lessons. Location couldn’t have been any closer to ski school.
This property is worth renting just for the location - ski in, ski out - it doesn't get much better than that. It is a beautiful area and we did have a great time.
There were only 2 drawbacks. One was that the place was not clean when we arrived. There were also items on the departure list that they asked renters to do when they leave that were not done prior to our arrival. For example, renters' responsibilities include cleaning and putting away all dishes. There was a full dishwasher when we arrived. There was a contact to call if the place wasn't clean, but we arrived late at night and only stayed 2 nights, so it wasn't really convenient to coordinate someone coming to clean. I also notified the owner. I did expect a partial cleaning fee refund, as the place was not in the condition it was supposed to be, but that didn't happen. I also had to remind the owner to refund the deposit afterwards. The second misinformation is that the kitchen is not fully stocked. There are limited dishes and the cookware was not very good quality and hard to work with.
