Me and my buddies rented this home to enjoy March Madness without our wives and it was perfect! From Fishing in the back yard to playing golf next door, the location and amenities were just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. The place was imaculate and the convenience was spot on. I have reccomended this house to others and will continue to keep it as a top choice when I go to Hilton Head!
This home was absolutely fabulous!! We traveled with a group of 19 and were celebrating the high school graduations of our sons. There was plenty of room for everyone. The pictures do NOT do this house justice. It is so beautiful in person that when we walked in, it took our breath away. The views from every window are awesome and the wildlife is abundant. We saw herons, alligators (in the lagoon), deer, lizards, etc..... At night the crickets and the frogs lulled us to sleep and the sun coming over the golf course in the morning, never ceased to amaze us. The boys fished off of the dock in the lagoon as the ladies enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The pool is very large and accommodated all of us wonderfully. We enjoyed our coffee outside on the porch overlooking the golf course each morning. Inside the home, the two tables were perfect for us and we gathered many nights around the tables and played games. The location is great too. A quick bike ride to the beach, the general store or where ever you wanted to go. The home is on a dead end street so that we didn't have to worry about traffic in front of the home. Larry was wonderful and was able to respond to any needs that we had. We did have some issues with heating the hot tub, but he responded quickly and things were fine. The home is clean and furnished beautifully. The kitchen does need to be stocked a bit more with cookware and plates, utensils. But our group probably ate in more than vacationers usually do. If you eat in frequently on vacation, bring a crock pot, large casserole dishes, etc to bake in. We can't say enough about this home and the southern hospitality of Larry and Hilton Head. We all were in serious mourning when we left and are already planning our trip for next year. You will not be disappointed in this gem of a home!!
What can I say more than what other reviewers have said? This is a beautiful spacious home, well maintained, and we enjoyed out stay here with our children and grandchildren, 9 adults plus 8 children ages 8 and under. (The place was clean enough to put a tummy crawler on the floor.) We used the pool and hot tub extensively. Pool was plenty warm in late July. It has a shallow shelf on each end so there is a place for little ones to play in the pool (carefully watched, of course). We did much of our own cooking, and followed the advice of another reviewer and brought our own griddle and containers for leftovers. There is a refrigerator in the basement in addition to the one in the kitchen, but the kitchen one held most of what we needed. I was also glad to have brought binoculars for bird watching, as recommended by another reviewer. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Many in our party walked, jogged, and rode bikes along the trails in the mornings. Owner Larry was great to work with. My only complaint would be that the bedroom with two queen beds had a separate AC unit and it was loud. AC in the rest of the house was great. I would certainly be delighted to stay here again.
We really enjoyed our annual family reunion in HH. Larry was great to work with and by far our best VRBO experience ever. The view and house are very well maintained on the inside. The landscape needs some trimming but not a problem at all.
This house is better in person than the pictures. More than enough room for our party of 9 kids and 10 adults....PLENTY of room! One issue we had was we did not want to go out to eat much, we wanted to utilize the house and cook meals....this house is not equipped with cookware or utinsels that you would need for everyday cooking. We had to go out and purchase items to cook with (griddle, storage containers for leftovers, scissors) And you need to bring your own pool towels.
We had two families vacationing together. This home was absolutely wonderful and more than plenty of room for us to be together, yet have our own space. The view is incredible - bring your binoculars to watch the beautiful cranes and other nesting birds across the lagoon. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed, as well as the ping pong table in the garage. It is an easy bike ride to the tennis center, PD General Store, Shelter Cove, the beach. It's a lovely quiet neighborhood and the home has all of the amenities to make your stay enjoyable even when the weather isn't the best, which was the case for the last few days of our stay. Larry, the owner, was kind enough to include a few movie passes to the local theater which were appreciated on a rainy day! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook great family meals and there is a grill outside. The house is simply beautiful and feels secluded, yet close to everything. We enjoyed deep sea fishing, parasailing, and just relaxing on the beach and lots of fresh local seafood. We hope to return - perfect for a tennis team trip or a family vacation!
