Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our two boys (21 and 14 years old) stayed 14 nights over Christmas and the New Year and it was everything we hoped for and more! The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Lots of storage space which was great being we had the 4 of us and brought all of our own snorkeling gear. The beds are very comfortable, you can hear the Ocean waves at night which will ease one straight to sleep. The view from the Lanai is amazing and it is where we had our breakfast every morning and dinner if we were "home". The stars at night out on the lawn (which is a beautiful, lush lawn) are breath taking! The beach is very close and quite private, we enjoyed it thoroughly! The owners are very welcoming and respectful. We did many hikes, boys did a lot of boogie boarding (boards were provided at cottage), we went snorkeling at Sharks Cove and Hanauma Bay and went to the Polynesian Cultural Center which I highly recommend; it is our 3rd HI trip (we are from MN) and 3rd Luau and it was our favorite! The Beach House restaurant in Haleiwa was excellent, a bit pricey but well worth it! Honestly, I'd like to give this a poor review so that I am assured when we return it will be available. This IS the place we will be returning for our next HI trip. Highly recommended, there was not one negative thing I could write. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing this piece of paradise with us! Patti Murphy and family

COZY COTTAGE w/PRIVACY on GORGEOUS manicured land

  • 5 of 5

This adorable country cottage is well maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and very well equipped -- and includes two full bathrooms (one is accessible from outdoors) w/plenty of towels (including beach and lounging towels), covered washer and dryer, BBQ (charcoal) grill and a well stocked kitchen area. The covered south facing lanai provides plenty shade all day, but the HUGE grassy area is perfect for lounging in the sun (all day). The unit is especially well suited for those seeking privacy, and peace and quiet. Marian (the host) is a dream to work with, very hospitable - but allows for complete privacy. She and her husband (and beautiful dog Ruby) live in the main house also on the grounds, hundreds of yards away - so it is as if you have the entire 2 acres parcel of pristine and manicured gardens to yourself. The private gate and driveway access to the cottage, is separate from the one the owners use (on the other side of the property). The setting is truly serene, indeed idyllic for the visitor seeking peace, quiet and rest - but yet very close access to the nearby secluded local beach. Other North Shore attractions are only 10 minutes away by car. This part of the island cools nicely most evenings, but there is a window unit air conditioner in the living room which sufficiently cools the entire cottage if needed. Everything in the cottage worked very well, was well maintained - and very, very clean. It is clear that much love and care has gone into the place over the years. Star gazing on a clear light is will delight anyone (there are even binoculars in the unit). This is my second visit, and my wife and hope to return many more times!

Quiet, Comfortable Cottage

  • 5 of 5

I had a great stay here. The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming, a real pleasure. The cottage is situated mid-way back on a large parcel, well away from the (small residential) road and the host's house, so there's lots of privacy, and quiet. Very spacious feel to the parcel. Bed was very comfy-- loved it (and spent quite a bit of time in it!). Internet access as currently set up (wireless extension router with long distance to the main house) was O.K., but was a little spotty, and a bit on the slow side. It got the job done, and shouldn't be an issue if doing simple, occasional tasks on-line. Great location here on the North Shore (which can get busy at times), with easy access to everything (lot's of beach options, etc.), but still offering a peaceful, off the beaten path setting. Highly recommended!

Oahu oasis

  • 5 of 5

This was my second visit to this property and I can not wait to return again. Peaceful, tranquil cottage and grounds are a relaxing persons' delight. It is a short easy walk to a beautiful beach. Haleiwa town is a 10 minute drive for groceries and nice dining options. The owners are very accommadating and have intelligent answers to most queries. I can not accurately express how much I look forward to returning to this special spot. Mucho Mahalo

A great hideaway vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

Nicely kept cottage on the back side of family home. Short walk to the beach. Quite community. This is out in the country of Oahu and away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, but close enough to have access to the rest of the island. If you are military Schofield Barracks is just 15 minutes away. And the Polynesian Cultural Center is only a half hour drive. The owners are very nice and friendly and provided excellent customer service. We did not go out to restaurants often as the kitchen facilities were available and stocked with pots and pans so we could prepare our own food. Even a small charcoal BBQ, so we had roasted Hawaiian pineapple!! I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great deal and friendly service in a nice out of the way location.

Perfect getaway location! Quiet, peaceful, charming.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 8 days, had a wonderful time, Owner was wonderful, Location was perfect for a quiet retreat. Well maintained, wonderfully furnished, and clean. We stayed with another couple, and had a very relaxing time. It was an oasis that we did not want to leave. It is away from the hustle and bustle, and a bit of a drive to locations, but well worth it. We will be returning...just not soon enough! Thank you for the wonderful time and for sharing your location with us! Take care, and blessings upon you!
