Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + Attached Unit, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 8)

This is an old cabin on a secluded 4 acres that has been renovated. It is very comfortable and has a tremendous view of the ocean. There is a rocky path down the cliffs to the ocean for tide pool looking and for fishing but children should be kept back from the edges of the property bordering the ocean as the cliffs might crumble. There is a beach about 1/4 mile away that can be walked to. Guests must provide own linens and towels and take home garbage. This keeps the cost of the rental down. Its one of the best spots on the coast.

We are about 1 mile south of FB.

Since the property is up for sale it can be shown by appointment only and it may be shown while renters are there. There would be an advance notification.

Secluded yet so close to town

  • 5 of 5

This place grows and grows on you so as you never want to leave. Yes it is rustic, refined it is not, but that's part of the charm. What is really lovely is the location which is minutes from Fort Bragg, yet ultra private and slap bang on the wild coast.

Sipping mimosas outside on a sunny morning with the sea at your feet is cathartic. The fire in the evening, sipping a red wine with friends reflecting on the days excursions is perfect relaxation.

Do take your own drinking water. Will we be back? Most definitely!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. I found out when I had the filter changed after this renter had left that we had to replace the pressure tank and the water had bypassed the filter. Hopefully the water will be a lot better.

Seaside Reatreat

  • 5 of 5

This rustic and homey cabin stay was perfect for my family. I grew up in Mendocino and am pretty picky. But this is just what I had hoped for. Everything we needed was there. The acreage to explore was a bonus! The wood stove fires at night and the spectacular ocean view was beautiful. I enjoyed coffee in the morning, just feet from the ocean and wine at night catching sunsets! The decor gave it a perfectly comfy, lodge feel and the owner, Dolores, was incredibly kind. I will rebook a stay for certain! This house is close to Harvest Market, and cafes and some of the best beaches.

Wonderful cabin by the sea!

  • 5 of 5

My family absolutely loved our long weekend at this charming rustic cabin . We were looking for a quiet, secluded hideout by the sea and not a luxury condo experience. We brought our own drinking water (we always do) and were very comfy in the house. We can’t wait to go back. The owner, Dolores, was very sweet.

Hidden cabin with a red bench

  • 5 of 5

Cute, hidden cabin overlooking the ocean. Loved our stay here, the oven and fridge are outdated however it added to the cabin feeling. Drinking water was ok, rusty taste so do take your own water. But overall best cabin feeling ever.

Loved it!!

  • 4 of 5

Even though I was sick for two entire days of our trip. This place was AMAZING! absolutely the most beautiful few from all the windows on that side of the cabin. Only downfall is the one bathroom. But it's definitely manageable. With the new water tank and all we had no trouble. Bringing your own linens is actually not bad. At least you know they are clean. We just dumped our trash when we went to town and dropped it like a gas station or whatever. I see why they don't want it left. It would a tract critters. Deer wander through all the time. Very quiet and relaxing. Kind of hard to locate driveway and driveway could use a little trimming but that's it. We will DEFINITELY be renting again..oh if you want tv larger than a 19 inch, bring your own.

Absolutely LOVE this place!

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for an old, secluded beachfront cabin then this is your pick. I almost dont want to write this review because I want to be able to rent this twice per year, for the next 10 years and dont want others taking my dates! This cabin is so warm with the the wood burner, beach access is a piece of cake, and is nestled deep into the woods yet right behind the town. We love it!
