Most amazing and unique beach house. ALL furniture in the entire house was replaced in 2010, including all beds, linens. Upgraded and added flat screen TV's with DVD players in ALL rooms; upgraded the media room with a 65' LCD Flat Panel with full surround sound. We are less than 300 steps to the beach and our home is the best entertaining home on North Forest Beach with be most stunning backyard with the largest custom pool around (35' x 15'), a 8' in diameter hot tub, and outdoor shower. This house if perfect for any family and can keep kids of all ages entertained with the pool table, air hockey table, foosball table, and awesome arcade style basketball game. Lay out by the pool on the aged stone deck, soak in the hot tub, play a few games with the kids, or hang out on one of the many furnished decks; regardless of what you choose, you will come back year after year for your family vacation.
This 5,000+ interior sq.ft. beach home has countless custom features and over 8,000' of total living space. 16 Mallard includes over 3,000 square feet of outdoor living space and is just steps to one the best beaches on the island. For privacy and safety, this home is located on a quiet family-oriented, neighborhood cul-de-sac. Featuring 7 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, this home will comfortably sleep 20+ people.
Through the oversized Alder entry door and up six stairs is the foyer with ceilings that soar 26'. This is the main level, which can also be accessed from the driveway stairs, onto the spacious front eating porch and into the kitchen. And what a kitchen! It is a cook's dream with the latest European appliances. Over to the foyer and down a few steps next to the main entry is a private bedroom suite (containing 2 Queen Beds) and bath. Back up to the main floor you will find an entire level with antique heart pine floors. This level houses two bedroom suites, one king and the other king w/ private bathrooms, and a laundry area. But we're not through yet! As well as the gourmet kitchen, there is living room and dining room, an open floor plan that can accommodate large groups. Perfect for entertaining, this level also includes a media room, with 65' flat screen LCD TV and surround sound system which can broadcast music throughout the home, deck, and pool (have an Ipod, bring it along). Ascending the circular staircase half way is a children's' suite, on the mezzanine level, with includes both bunk beds, a twin daybed + trundle, and full bath. Continuing to the top of the stairs is a loft overlooking the foyer, which leads to the master suite. This suite consists of a king bedroom with sitting area, HUGE bathroom with dual vanities, large balcony overlooking the luscious pool area, and phenomenal 'Japanese stone soaking tub as well as walk-in shower with dual shower heads. A second bedroom containing another king bed just off the main master room makes this 'master suite' truly one of the best. A second washer and dryer is also found here with a very large walk in closet.
All lighting in 16 Mallard is on dimmers, creating any ambiance you desire. One special feature you won't find in other rental homes, is a house wide, hot water circulation system proving extremely quick hot water from any faucet; get hot water in seconds. Back on the main floor, a 10' wall of glass, which is also a large folding door from the great room allows entrance to the rear covered porch where the large outdoor kitchen. Across a covered walkway is a separate building which houses a guest house, with 2 sets of bunk beds (2 Twin, 2 Full beds) and 1/2 bath. The lower deck leads to a large natural stone pool area. This tropical space is easy on the eyes and very private, surrounded by a wall of lush bamboo as well as an 8 ft. privacy fence. The unique salt water pool and spa can be heated for an additional charge.
For entertainment, there is a lanai and game room, with a full size slate pool table, basketball game, and both covered and open seating areas adjacent to the pool deck. The spa/hot tub is attached to the pool but in its own private grotto. Behind the covered spa is a warming drawer to warm your towels and robes on cool nights. Outside speakers are on separate volume controls from your ipad. A beach gear storage area just under the front covered porch provides space for the provided boogie boards, cornhole, floats, beach toys and beach chairs. Finally there is an outdoor shower for your pleasure following a day at the beach.
