Hibiscus Villa is a luxurious newish (2009) home designed to enjoy Caribbean living inside and out in lovely, unspoiled Grenada. The villa is beautifully designed and furnished with tropical-style décor and architecture. Outside, the villa has spacious terraces and a large saline pool. Spectacular views of the ocean, bay and mountains can be seen inside and out. Guests at Hibiscus Villa can enjoy relaxed, luxurious Caribbean living in their own private villa.
Hibiscus Villa is ideal for groups, families, couples and honeymooners – private and romantic.
Hibiscus Villa’s main floor has a large, open living area with three sets of French doors open to the terrace, allowing guests to enjoy the spectacular views right from the villa. As the owner’s hobby is gourmet cooking, the spacious kitchen is well outfitted. A dining table seats eight.
There are two master bedrooms, each with a king bed and French doors opening to its own deck to enjoy the beautiful views, and at opposite ends of the house for privacy. The third bedroom has a queen bed. All three bedrooms have a full private bath, ceiling fan, and a.c., and are upstairs from the living area – private and quiet. A day bed and trundle in the study provides additional beds for older children or smaller adults.
Hibiscus Villa has a spacious outdoor terrace of lovely coral stone with a large (32’) saline pool, both sunny and shaded areas, and privacy from neighbors. It is comfortably furnished with teak outdoor furniture – a dining table for six, comfortable lounge chairs, and six chaise lounges. On the outdoor terrace guests can laze in the sun, read in the shade, swim in the pool, dine, and have cocktails – all while overlooking spectacular views of the ocean, bay and mountains.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped with a profusion of tropical flowering plants, bushes and trees, including 8 kinds of palms.
Hibiscus Villa is the perfect place to enjoy an easy, relaxed vacation or as a base to easily see and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Grenada.

About Owner
Mary Halloran & Marc Davies, Pennsylvania USA We rented many villas before building Hibiscus Villa, and took the best ideas from all when we designed, built and outfitted the villa (finished in Summer, 2009). We wanted a house that looked and felt like it was in the Caribbean, not an American beach house put in the Caribbean. People live outdoors in the Caribbean. So we have French doors open to the terrace and decks, casement windows and louvers opened to the sea breezes. The spacious outdoor terrace and pool are just outside the living area so life flows easily from outside to inside. Even the sound system has outdoor speakers. And with the beautiful gardens the villa is named for, it’s like living in the middle of a tropical botanical garden. We also wanted guests’, and our own, needs to be met in great detail. After all, you are on vacation when you are at Hibiscus Villa. So it’s well-outfitted with everything we could think of, from entertainment to cooking utensils to working in a home office to luxury bed linens and towels. We think you will enjoy life at Hibiscus Villa in Grenada as much as we do.

Why Owner chose Fort Jeudy
A friend who used to sail a lot in the Caribbean told us for many years other sailors told him he really should visit Grenada. When he finally did, he promptly bought land there. We understand that love for the island - we also fell in love with it and bought land on our first visit there. Grenada is a kind and gentle island with warm, friendly people. Described as “unspoiled”, there are no casinos, no high rises, and a quiet nightlife. It has amazing natural beauty of mountains and waterfalls, volcanic crater lakes and lush tropical landscapes. Of course, it also has the beautiful white sand beaches with calm waters that people desire in the Caribbean. And for us foodies - many good restaurants. We may not want to gamble, but we like to eat well! And if we were going to own a house in the Caribbean, we wanted an English-speaking island, a safer one, and a lush, beautiful one. We have all that in Grenada. Hibiscus Villa is located in Fort Jeudy, a peninsula on Grenada’s southern coast that is known for its beautiful homes, lovely views, and ocean breezes. Grenada is the most southerly of the Windward Islands, near Barbados and Trinidad. Formerly a British colony, having gained independence in 1975, Grenada is now a member of the British Commonwealth, like Canada and Australia. Its currency is the Eastern Caribbean dollar, pegged at a fixed rate to the U.S. dollar.
What makes this House unique
We love to laze on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean, bay and mountains with either a glass of wine or coffee in our hand. We also like to go for walks around the neighborhood - it's quiet, safe and lovely. For early risers, the sunrises are spectacular. In the afternoon we snorkel on the beach nearby or swim in the pool. While there is lots to do in Grenada, we find it hard to tear ourselves away from relaxing in the villa and enjoying the spectacular views. The villa is conveniently located within a short drive to most activities and restaurants on Grenada for when you do want to leave the villa.
