This midcentury modern vacation house is located in Palm Springs' tranquil Little Beverly Hills neighborhood, and is situated directly along the Mesquite Golf & Country Club golf course. This rare protected view lot boasts spectacular, unobstructed views of the San Jacinto Mountains, as well as acres of palm trees that fill the grassy fairways of the award-winning PGA golf course out front.

The home showcases iconic angular desert Mid-Century Modern architecture, which includes an open concept floor plan, vaulted high ceilings, and unique exposed wood beams and natural ceiling planks. The floor-to-ceiling "walls of glass" create a bright, airy indoor ambiance that merge indoor living with the outdoor desert. Experience breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains from one side, and the tranquil, private garden and swimming pool oasis on the other.

The spacious home is thoughtfully appointed with new modernist furnishings inspired by famous midcentury modern designer icons. Highlights include an authentic Herman Miller Eames® Elliptical Table (popularly known as the 'Surfboard' coffee table), stylish yet comfortable living chairs, and raised modern beds with luxury mattresses and hotel quality linens in each bedroom.

The fully private and walled tropical back yard oasis features a large 'legacy size' swimming pool and a custom in-ground resort style jetted spa. Relax in chaise lounges underneath an island oasis of gently swaying palm trees and the tranquil sounds of the infinity waterfall that cascades into the pool.

A covered lanai spanning the length of the house provides available shade and features an outdoor dining table for alfresco dining. Why Michael & Scott chose Deserts

In 2008 a group of close friends from Seattle rented this delightful mid-century modern home for a winter escape from the rain and cold. We all fell instantly in love with the magical desert 'zen' that this home provided. Despite all the nearby attractions and activities, we found ourselves spending the majority of our four lazy days lounging by (and in!) the private pool, soaking up the sun, and grilling lunch and dinner poolside. At night we all enjoyed the wonderful sensation of slowly immersing ourselves into the jetted hot tub and gazing upwards at the stars. Three years later we discovered that this home was for sale. We didn't hesitate a second to purchase this vacation home for ourselves, families, and friends. As our guests, we trust you will have an equally memorable stay at our 'home away from home!'

What makes this house unique

This vacation home is located on a highly sought-after panoramic View Lot bordering the Mesquite Country Club PGA golf course. The dining, living, guest rooms, and private front yard feature completely unobstructed views of a beautifully landscaped PGA 18-hole golf course. In the backdrop, there are breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountain range. Just a few steps away is a meandering 4-mile looped paved walking/running/biking trail for energetic morning run, or a relaxing afternoon stroll shaded by palm trees.

Amazing Oasis in Palm Springs!

We were returning guests, which sums up how much we love this charming house. There’s too many reasons to list why this house is truly amazing. But the architecture itself is incredible. It truly is a wall of glass between the living/dining/kitchen area and pool. When you’re inside, you feel like you’re part of the outdoor area, and vice-versa. As before, Michael and Scott were fabulous hosts. There are thoughtful little touches everywhere… K-cup coffee machine AND a regular good old-fashioned drip coffee maker, popcorn maker, waffle iron, gadgets galore in the kitchen, clock radios with built-in cell phone chargers in the bedrooms, etc. We didn’t really get out of the house much because the house was perfect to relax in all day and night! We’ve already booked again for next year. Thanks Michael and Scott for your hospitality!

Perfect property and location

This is by far the best property and location that we have stayed in in the palm springs area and we have been coming to palm springs for over 20 years. The owners are very helpful and are there for you should you need them. Lovely quiet area with only a short drive to the shops and main town centre. Would definitely recommend.

Great location and ideal vacation house.

We stayed here for the month of February 2017. While the house itself is wonderful, the location makes it extra special. The front of the house faces a golf course with a sweeping view of the mountains in the background. The neighborhood is very pleasant and restful. There are great walks, especially on the paths around the golf course-- and an easy walk just on the other side of the golf course is a mini-mall with excellent eating options (Indian, Greek, bakery, etc). The house itself encourages outdoor living-- it is so light, with both the combined living/dining/kitchen area as well as the master bedroom opening onto the back yard with the pool/spa just a few steps away. The house is fully equipped with high quality appliances, furniture and accessories. Clearly it is furnished as a house that discriminating owners would want to live in themselves-- and the owners, Michael and Scott, couldn’t be more helpful and easy to deal with. As will be apparent when checking the availability calendar, unfortunately for potential renters, many others have discovered what a gem this is.

Perfection !!!

Michael and Scott' house is perfect! The location is very calm but near everything. The house is fully equipped. We stayed for 3 weeks and we really enjoyed it. We have a 2 year old daughter and the house is very safe. The pool and garden is very nice and clean. The house is very modern. Cherry on the cake, the owners are very helpful and they have made explanations for everything in the house which is very convenient! I would totally recommend this house and hope to be back soon!!

Outstanding Property in Palm Spings

I have stayed at this home on multiple occasions over the years and I am always so impressed by how well-maintained the property is. The owners attention to detail is beyond anything I have experienced with other vacation properties. Everything is super clean, great linens, and quality dishes, glasses, etc in the kitchen. You just don't find that often. There are no hand-me-downs in this home. I love floating in the pool gazing at the mountains watching the sun go down. Just so tranquil.

The owners are very responsive and thoughtful--happy to provide restaurant recommendations, etc. Whenever I had any questions, they never made me feel like I was a bother.

Can't say enough about this home. Just stunning and plan to come back next year.

A Little Beverly Hills GEM!

We have rented literally dozens of homes for vacations near and far and would put this home at the top of the list! Owning a high end home ourselves, we are admittedly "selective" in what we are looking for in a vacation experience, and use many filters to weed out properties when deciding on a potential VRBO home. We spent three weeks at this location and can say it was the most well "loved" and fully appointed home we have had the pleasure to stay in! So much so we were able to entertain at the level we would at home, having every needed kitchen gadget, nice serving platters, trays and bowls a plenty. Right down to the individual ceramic individual oil dipping containers for each guest, these guys missed nothing in setting up this home. We did not even have to use the travel knives we brought as theirs were actually sharp, a rare find in a VRBO home. The high end washer and dryer came in so handy, and performed so well we are actually talking about replacing ours at home with the same model. Scott and Michael have a pride in ownership and were available within minutes to answer any questions we had. We are now counting the days until we return! If you are looking at this home to rent we say snap it up! You will not be disappointed, and the location is close to everything in Palm Springs. Cheers, Erik and Kimberly
