A very nice place. Loved the river, the kitchen, fireplace and fire circle. Good recommendations for places to see and visit.

What a fantastic few days!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is extraordinary. We arrived a bit early, and the owners gave us permission to check in a bit early. It was very comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything you need! Our only complaint was that there was no snow outside! We can't wait to go back!

Christmas at Sandy River Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had our family Christmas at the Sandy River rental and it was perfect. The house is beautiful and was even decorated for Christmas. The kitchen was well stocked for lots of cooking. Plenty of wood for fires. We have stayed in many rentals over the years- this is one of our favorites!

Beautiful House with Amazing River View

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the house for three days and enjoyed every minute. Our GPS found the house easily - it is far enough from the main road (Hwy 26) to be away from traffic but not so far as to be a tedious drive. It is a beautifully and solidly built house and nicely furnished. It contains everything visitors could want including spices and some condiments. The kitchen is modern and the appliances are both new and functional. The river is only steps from the house and while it is visible from all of the back windows, the house is built solidly and we could not hear the water unless we opened windows or doors. We stayed during the fall and so had a fire on each of the three days. The owner provides wood and instructions though it would be wise to bring newspapers for starting the fire. We could think of a negative for this house. We will return in the spring.

Mt Hood Resort Cabin on the Sandy River

  • 4 of 5

My family was visiting extended family in the Sandy and Estacada area. Too many to house us so we decided to rent a vacation home in the Mt Hood area and on the beach. Wanted a cabin in the woods with a river to be able to sit and listen too. This property was a beautiful cabin and met all our wish list requests. Family visited us and we had a cookout. The cabin was well supplied so we didn't have to buy every condiment. The grill worked perfectly. The fire ban prevented us from having an outdoor fire, but the sound and view from the deck was still amazing. Looking at the stars was a highlight. Can't see that in any city environment. Two negatives. Sleeping eight, even with two children was difficult. Need a bunk bed in the loft. The loft area is not a place for those that want to go to bed early with guests still socializing.

Overall it was a memory filled experience. We have done all exclusives. The vote from this family is that this outdoes those resorts.

Had to search for full service grocery. Should be included in a welcoming email. If it was, we are guilty of not reading those directions.

Other than that, directions at the house were easy to follow.

It was a 4 1/2 star rental for us.
