Beautiful location, beautiful cabin
Sandy River Front cabin is as beautiful as the pictures, better in real life. We weren’t able to take advantage of the outdoors and fire pit due to rain but the scenery and sound of the river was so relaxing. Time indoors was roomy but cozy. Cabin has everything you need. Would come again and recommend. Thank you Poole’s for sharing your beautiful home.
I love this cabin!
This is the third time I have stayed in this cabin and it is better each time. BBQ grill in back with the river and a firepit is the perfect escape for me.
Mary was extremely quick to respond and I can’t say enough good things about her cabin! Gorgeous view, gorgeous kitchen, well-equipped, and so close to the river! It’s truly an oasis and I look forward to staying with my family again! Thanks!
Beautiful, cozy home nestled next to The Sandy
My husband and I and our two college age sons enjoyed spring break in this beautiful home. It is very nicely furnished and the owners have made many thoughtful touches such as games, puzzles, firewood, and a guide about trails and activities in the area. One afternoon we were treated to the sight of a bald eagle hopping from tree to tree in the backyard then flying back and forth along the river. Evenings are cozy with a fire and expect a peaceful nights sleep in this secluded sanctuary with only the sound of the river to lull you to sleep. We had a wonderful time here and made some great memories to take with us.
What a fantastic few days!
The cabin is extraordinary. We arrived a bit early, and the owners gave us permission to check in a bit early. It was very comfortable, clean, and equipped with everything you need! Our only complaint was that there was no snow outside! We can't wait to go back!
Christmas at Sandy River Cabin
We had our family Christmas at the Sandy River rental and it was perfect. The house is beautiful and was even decorated for Christmas. The kitchen was well stocked for lots of cooking. Plenty of wood for fires. We have stayed in many rentals over the years- this is one of our favorites!
Salmon and Steelhead fishing less than 5 mins down the road --
where the Sandy and Salmon Rivers met ---( natural wild river ---from the top of Mt. Hood to the Columbia River ) . Also the Brightwood store is 3 mins. down the road for bait, beverages and snow parking permit or summer trail permit.
Golfing, restaurants or massage 7 mins. to Welches.
Sandy Ridge Bike Trail and Windells Snow Board Camp 5 Mins or less down the road
NOTE -- The good thing about this elevation in the winter --is the fact you rarely have difficulty getting around.
( another 1 or 2 thousand foot -up and you are shoveling your car in and out daily )
