Carmel-by-the-Sea is a world class destination with a unique atmosphere without the pressures of everyday life. Among the nearby golf courses are Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay. The Cottage provides an atmosphere where you can read with a glass of wine, or socialize on the patio with the sound of the waves in the background. It has amenities that will make you feel like you’re at home with high speed internet, cable TV, a collection of DVD's, and a diverse selection of books. The kitchen is fully equipped if you choose to eat at home or you have a selection of fabulous eatery's within walking distance. A washer and dryer are located downstairs to take care of laundry after a day of hiking at Point Lobos or time at the spectacular Carmel beach. The cottage is only two blocks from Ocean Avenue providing shopping and over 100 art galleries. It is five blocks and a 10 minute walk to the beach with a great view of the Pebble Beach Golf Course and 1/2 mile to the gate of famous 17 Mile Drive.
Carmel Beach: Take a walk to the beach and sit on the white sand with a loved one and a bottle of wine to watch the beautiful Carmel sunsets. You may also have campfires on the beach toward the south end. There is a great walkway along the bluff over looking the beach for early morning walks or runs. Whimsical and creative sand creations attract competitors and spectators on Carmel’s white sand beach. Held in September.
Other Carmel attractions.: The Pro Am golf tournament in February and the Concours De Ellegance in August attract thousands. The Sunset Cultural Center, the Cultural Heart of Carmel by-the-Sea, offers a wide range of world-class performances ranging from the classical, dance, Broadway, rock, bluegrass and jazz to magic. The Bach Music Festival, held in July, is world renowned.

The town’s charming eateries feature a full range of international, regional and local cuisines, all benefiting from their proximity to the bounties provided by the Monterrey Bay and Salinas Valley. Take an early morning walk two blocks to the Carmel Coffee Company for fresh scones, rolls and a hot cup of coffee.
