Professionally decorated, this modern high-ceilinged condo offers spacious rooms and comfortable, upscale furnishings. It is newly re-floored throughout. A private, first floor entry offers easy access from the parking area and LBTS/Marsh Hawk amenities. A fully equipped kitchen offers the opportunity to enjoy the quiet of the condo for your meals as an alternative to the many wonderful restaurant choices in the area.

For dining, cocktails or just relaxing, a spacious and warmly decorated screen porch is accessible from both the master bedroom and the living area. It overlooks a beautiful and carefully preserved saltwater creek, replete with birds and other wildlife for the viewing. The Marsh Hawk private pool is just steps away. Marsh Hawk is a small, quiet regime within the private/gated Litchfield by the Sea resort, with only five buildings, each having four condo units.

Full flexibility is offered in sleeping patterns, as the master has a king bed, the newly redecorated 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and 3rd bedroom has twins. The spacious master bath has both a shower and a luxurious soaking tub, two separate vanities, with separate private commode. The second bath has a shower tub with a glass enclosure..

Why Bill and Barb Currens chose Grand Strand - Myrtle Beach

We have been vacationing at Litchfield by the Sea for many years, the whole family enjoyed the setting, security, and lovely resort community, so the decision was easy when choosing to purchase a rental condo at our favorite place to relax. We have made our condo unique by decorating and furnishing it as a cozy second home, not a typical rental condo. We are continually updating the electronics and the furnishings, to provide a comfortable setting that reminds you of home. Barb, as a retired caterer, has equipped the kitchen with everything that you might need to create your own gourmet meals, even including a stand mixer and a low country boil steam pot!

What makes this condo unique

Over half of our guests have stayed with us previously, and have shared their great experiences in our reviews. Quiet, peaceful, family oriented, secure setting, while offering access to both the excitement of Myrtle Beach and the historical culture of low country South Carolina as epitomized by nearby Pawleys Island and Georgetown. The Litchfield by the Sea resort has been newly renovated in 2011, with updated landscaping, new walkways, and a totally new beach house, with a completely new clubhouse, new decks and access walkways to the pristine 8-mile beach. Marsh Hawk is a small, private regime in Litchfield by the Sea resort, offering a quiet setting backing on a scenic wetlands creek/marsh with the beach just minutes away. With Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park just to the north, Hobcaw Barony, historic Pawleys Island and Georgetown just to the south, recreation and cultural opportunities abound. Most of our repeat guests work directly with us to save the VRBO service charge on future vacations.

Home away from home

This outstanding unit is truly a home away from home, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings and luxurious linens! Beyond these creature comforts, the views of the marsh from the expansive windows would inspire an artist. This location is so convenient to all needs, from many choices in grocery shopping, gourmet shops, the new local library, and the many wonderful eateries in Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island. A few miles away is the famous Brookgreen Gardens and its beauty. Lastly, beachgoers will appreciate walking and sunning on the endless beach as well as the many amenities at the beach club.

Litchfield by the Sea provides 7 lighted tennis courts, bike trails, and 24 hr gated security. A spa and fitness center is available as is a Starbucks and restaurant in the adjoining Litchfield Beach and Golf. Local restaurants to meet all needs are just minutes away (details on request), as are deep sea fishing and golf. There are 20 golf courses within a 15 minute drive and over 100 courses in the Myrtle Beach area. Brookgreen Gardens, a nationally recognized sculpture garden is 2 miles north and has unequalled family activities, as is the wonderful, seaside Huntington Beach state park for exploring, kayaking and wildlife watching. Just to the south is the inlet dividing Litchfield beach from Pawleys Island, providing a pristine 8-mile beach for walking or shelling. South of Pawleys Island is the Hobcaw Barony, a nature preserve given by the King of England, and eventually to the state by Bernard Baruch, a 19th century Wall Street millionaire who purchased the acreage for a winter hunting retreat. His daughter eventually took over the estate and is responsible for the preservation activities, deeding it to universities in SC. Historic Georgetown on Winyah Bay is a must-see old rice port town as is the historic shrimping village of McClellanville, just south of Georgetown on 17.
