Why The Owner chose South Oahu

I was introduced to this unit by my long time real estate agent who frequently travels to Hawaii. She rented the unit across from mine during her stay and got a chance to talk with the previous owner of my unit who owned it for 15 years. After seeing the unit myself and the location it wasn't hard for me to make the decision. The convenience of the location was something that really appealed to me.

What makes this condo unique

The unit is located on the 11th floor and its beach front with a city view. It was recently remodel, so everything in there is pretty much new. The location offers convenient access to many amenities such as the beach, Hilton Lagoon, major shopping centers in Waikiki. Many will enjoy the new kitchen appliances for some clean home cooking as well.

Arrived at 2300 hrs. to find the bed not made, a basket of laundry sitting on the floor. Telephone did not work. Dried food on kitchen floor and glass top table sticky with dried liquid. Towels in bathroom were dirty and melted soap lay on the bathroom counter.

Tried to find a pay phone to contact owner. Finally went to another hotel and they allowed us to use their phone. We had no cell phone.

Attempted contact with the owner, no one responded. Attempted contact with VRBO and was told to call back the next day at 1000 am. Finally, made contact with rental manager and she told us to make our own bed. She provided us with the combination to a locked cupboard which contained clean bedding.

The next day a cleaning person arrived to clean the room, do the laundry and make the bed.

The rental manager arrived to replace the telephone. The next day the toilet would not flush. Upon lifting the toilet tank lid, it was noted that the chain connecting the rubber flap was being held together with a paper clip. The rental manager was called again, and the next day a plumber arrived to repair toilet.

The balcony door does in fact require 3 strong men to open/close the door. The carpet is very dirty and stained in a number of locations. The futon is extremely uncomfortable to sleep on. There is a plunger in the bathroom which was used frequently to clear the kitchen sink. It did not drain properly.

This is a very tired unit and perhaps needs to be retired.

We were told by the rental manager that our cleaning fee would be refunded. We waited one month for the refund of the cleaning fee, but none arrived. Upon contact again with the owner, he stated he simply forgot and it was then refunded. The rental manager also informed us this was not the first time that the owner left the unit in this condition.

This is not a unit which we would ever consider renting again.

I wasn't expecting fancy but I was expecting usable. The bed was was a back breaker and the fouton bed was a torture chamber. The sliding door takes three strong men to open and the air conditioning did not work. Used and tired, do not let the pictures fool you.

A clean comfortable condo

I had a brief communication with the owner Mike, he was very pleasant. It was a very satisfactory transaction. Very smooth. We were a family of 3. All very comfortable. Place was clean. The parking was 20.00 a day. There are cheaper rates but you park far within the marina. I would recommend this condo.

Great location! Walking distant to the Beach!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. The location was great! Literally a 3 minute walk and you're at the beach! It is a little further from the main Waikiki area but we were glad we were away from it. It's about a 20-30 minute walk to get to the main Waikiki strip so my husband and I would take a Lyft or Uber which was about $5 each way. Not bad if you're looking for a fun night out. The place came furnished with all the necessary utensils. We were able to save a few bucks by cooking our own breakfast every morning. David was great and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this unit!
