The guest house has separate living area that seats another 6 guests has second TV and VCR. Main house master bedroom has a TV with cable channels. The houses do have stairs. Depending on elderly guest's ability to climb stairs this property could accommodate some elderly guests with minor disability as the guest house has a bath with easy access shower on main level and the living room has a pull out sofa so all living could take place on this level. Air Conditioning and WiFi in Main house only. Special Note on Power Boats: This property does not come with access to launch a boat, dock a boat, anchor a boat, or otherwise maneuver a boat by the shared beach. Bringing a boat to this property can be grounds for voiding the contract.

Great location, big and spacious!

  • 5 of 5

Overall, we had a wonderful time at this vacation home. The location was great and everyone we met at the beach was very friendly and accommodating. There was plenty of room in the house for everyone and we were all very comfortable. The owners were responsive to all of our questions and extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house - Beautiful Beach

  • 5 of 5

The houses are great! We had 14 of us and kids and adults. The rules can be a little challenging but in all honesty - we have rented for 5 years now. Every year we practically have the beach to ourselves Mon-Fri. It is an amazing place! Linens and house are clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Lawn and fire pit are level and safe for our kids and elderly grandmother. The deck and screen porches are a great places to enjoy the evening.

Nice Lot/Marginal House

  • 2 of 5

Overall, my family had a wonderful experience up on the Lake. The house was certainly large enough to deal with 9 adults and 4 children. The lake is a short distance down the road and there is a nice beach owned by the community in which the house resides. On the negative side, the house was not well maintained. there was a disturbing amount of garbage under the porch, that had been left for quite a long time that created a vile smell. Also, the neighbors clearly have a problem with renters. It was obvious from the moment we arrived that they did not want us there. They followed us to the beach and made remarks about allowing our kids on the dock and raking sand castles. It was annoying. With that said, the neighbors are just neighbors and can be easily ignored.

Owner's Response: We appreciate feedback on our house it always assist us to make things better for our future guests. This was the first rental of the season and unfortunately our maintenance company who handles trash removal did not perform a trash pick-up prior to their arrival, as they were instructed to. We do regret this, and believe they did take care of this as soon as we were informed of this issue. The main spring cleanup is when any needed maintenance is performed, and unfortunately only a light cleanup was performed this spring. We directed our maintenance company to go back and review the house and make any needed repairs. We strive to make the property a good value for our guests. As for the beach, it is a shared beach, and we try to make that clear on the site. We do not advertise accessibility for power boats as we do not have access to the association dock and the range way is not large enough to safely pull in a power boat between the dock, beach, and swim platform. This guest brought a boat, docked it on the association dock, and borrowed an association member’s tow tube off of the beach. Naturally this did cause an issue with the association member whose dock slip was taken and whose tow tube was used, both without permission. This was quickly resolved when we learned of the boat and reinforced the information regarding the fact boats are not allowed as part of the rental of the house with our guest.

Great place for a NH fun filled vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My extended family (parents, cousins, siblings and spouses) spent a week at this property and had a great time. The owner is very easy to reach and answered all my questions. The houses are clean and have all the amenities listed. The porches are perfect for chilling and the beach is just a hop skip and a jump away. No need to drive it is right there! We played games on the front lawn and there was plenty of seating for us during meals. The screen porches are welcoming and relaxing. The bedrooms were nice and big. We are planning on coming back again next year because we had so much fun and everyone really loved the house! - Some fun things that we did were: Polar Caves, Squam Lake Nature Science center, Monkey Trunks, Drive-in theater and the West Rattlesnake Mt Eagle Cliff Train in Squam lake (I would recommend all the above as well :-))

What a great place!

  • 5 of 5

This house was amazing. We rented the main house and there was more than enough room for the 8 of us. We didn't cook a lot at the house but the kitchen is fully equipped. We would have loved to have stayed the entire week rather than just the weekend. We would definitely recommend staying here. Contrary to the previous comment, we didn't have any issues with the other people on the beach at the lake.

Not a friendly vacation

  • 2 of 5

The description of this vacation rental does not give in details, the VERY strict rules that the homeowners who live on this lake have for "visitors". The lake is owned by an association, and according to the people who own homes there, this is the only rental property on this part of the lake. The people who lived on this association did NOT welcome us. We were even asked to move (we were 3 mothers and 2 babies) to the left side of the beachfront because the homeowners get the middle and the right. If we had known about these rules, we would never had rented here. The home was not worth the money or the aggravation that the neighbors gave us, and we were not a rowdy group! I would not recommend this rental property and if you do rent here please ask for a specific list of all the rules that you must follow if you do!

Owner's Response: We are very dissapointed in our guest's experience, it is not one we've ever encountered. There are no association rules stipulating which section of the beach a guest can or cannot use, and there is no section reserved for owners. The only rule is to be respectful of others and to not take up the entire beach with one group, as the other members of the assocition and their guests are also entitled to enjoy the beach. We do post the association beach rules at the house, and there is a laminated version of the rules posted at the beach. Our expectation is not only for our guests to obey the rules, but for the other owners to do so as well. As with any association there are times when not everyone sees eye to eye, and we are truly sorry for the experience noted by our guest. We will be taking this matter up with the association's board.
