Everything to everyone!
We stayed for Thanksgiving with a group of friends. Everyone raved about the surroundings, amenities, comforts and the Double T's natural way of bringing our group together. We were surprised this special location was available during Thanksgiving and feel lucky to have been able to celebrate with so many friends, all in one perfect place...!
Double T (Time Together) River Ranch Lives up To Its Name!
My extended family of 28 people, from our 87 year old mom to her 3 month old great grandson, spent an unforgettable week at the Double T River Ranch in mid-July and it was better than any of us could have imagined. The pictures are accurate but don't really do justice to this wonderful place and the warmth and welcome-ness you feel the minute you step out of your car and are greeted by Addie. We gathered everyday at and around the remarkably restored barn for food, games, socializing and just plain hanging out together. We swam in the refreshing pond, played soccer games on the expansive green lawns, competed in fierce volleyball and bocce ball matches and hit endless golf balls onto the turf green. We fished in the Shields river and caught, rainbow, brown and cut throat trout.
The main house, guest house and barn are beautifully restored by Mitch. If you pay attention to detail then look closely and you will like what you see. Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas are all very well constructed and furnished. The 2 cabins by the river are not run-of-the-mill log kits, they are high end and also finished with gorgeous reclaimed wood flooring and beautiful details. There are lawns and landscaping around the cabins situated just above the banks of the river. We watched a pair of bald eagles (and they watched us!) every evening as they perched in trees on the hillside across the river. Awesome.
We did a day trip to Yellowstone, floated the Madison river and hiked up Sacajawea Peak, all easy drives from Clyde Park. But most of the time we stayed on the ranch. Oh there were plenty of trips into town, the purveyors of Clyde Park Tavern, Antlers Bar and Glenn's Market all got to know us. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and willing to trade stories with us. We did the majority of our food shopping at Glenn's market and found fresh meat, a good selection of fresh vegetables and pretty much all the staple items that we needed. it is located less than a mile from the Double T so steer clear of Costco if you are coming through Bozeman! Also, the kitchen in the barn is of restaurant quality and we used the heck out of it. It included everything we needed to fix meals for all 28 of us.
Jeff stopped by most days and took care of whatever we needed. He even gave us a tour of the historic grain elevators. The trip really could not have been better, it felt like a once in a lifetime vacation. But we certainly hope to return soon!
Thanks so much John for your descriptive and beautifully written review. The part of the story that the web site doesnt tell, you do! We are so happy that you enjoyed your time at the ranch. Hurry back soon. The Double T team
We just spent a glorious long weekend at the Double T. This was the perfect accommodation for our gathering. Everything is very upscale, but still homey...so many things to do on property, you needn't leave once you settle in. Wish we could have stayed a week!
Thanks so much for the wonderful review Lynn. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. Come back soon and spend the whole week.
What a wonderful place! We all had a ball at the Double T over a long weekend. The accommodations were perfect for our family reunion. Very comfortable with lots of room and so many things to do on the property. We were made to feel right at home as soon as we arrived. It was very relaxing in a beautiful setting. We all wanted to stay longer.
Thank you Kathy. We love it when our guests enjoy the Double T so much that they want to stay longer. Next time!
My wife and I purchased a weekend at the Double T that was generously donated by the owners to a local non-profit. We invited six other couples to join us and all of our expectations were blown away with the high quality level of accomedations. We were able to enjoy tons of x-country skiing trails, limitless wildlife, and amazing hospitality by the owners. The facilities on-site were first class and perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. I guess the biggest compliment anyone can give is the we will definitely return and be repeat customers and can't wait to go back!
Had a large family gathering at the ranch. Everything was perfect. Accomodations were beautiful, lots of activities for young and old. Everyone wanted to stay longer.
75 miles from beautiful Yellowstone Park. 40 miles from the fabulous western town of Bozeman, home of dinosaur Museum of the Rockies. 20 miles to downhill skiing at Bridger Bowl and x-country at Bohart Ranch.
