Definitely not brand new as advertised.

  • 3 of 5

The resort was clean with a nice water park area with a nice selection of music. Just beware that you can only have overpriced food and drinks purchased from the resort in the pool and lounging area. Also they add a "mandatory tip" to all food and drinks, we didn't check and wound up tipping twice.

As for the town house it's definitely not Brand New! There was water damage on the ceiling, dated chairs, and a small patio overlooking a dried up retention pond. It's about a mile walk to the pool area.

Getting to Disney was expensive $70 return or risk your life with the most dangerous drivers we've ever experienced. Would of been nice if they offered a shuttle to the airport and Disney.

So if your looking for a roomy inexpensive place to stay(4 bedrooms) and not going to Disney or other attractions this place will do.

"So - so Stay"

  • 3 of 5

The property was nice and the home was spacious. The beds were very, very firm. There was no can opener in the unit. Also, some of the furniture has seen better days. For instance, we didn't use one of the dining room table chairs at all because one of the legs was about to give out. Also, lint trap in the dryer in the unit kept coming loose during operation which made it very loud and we had to keep fixing it. We arrived on Christmas Eve and did a shopping trip to pick up food and essentials. We neglected to pick up toilet paper but thought we'd have enough to get us through Christmas. There was NOT a full roll in each of the 3 bathrooms and we have 5 people staying so we had to go buy some from a gas station on Christmas day. Also, there was just one trash bag, one packet of dishwasher detergent and there was no dish soap or laundry detergent which we've always had some at other VRBO homes (left over from previous vacationers). We left both dish soap and laundry detergent behind - if it wasn't there for the next renter then I'd look to the cleaning crew on that as they may be helping themselves. They certainly were NOT cleaning all the bathrooms as the master bath tub had mold in it and the toilet was dirty so we cleaned those. The WIFI internet was in and out throughout the stay. So, not as great an experience as we've had with numerous other VRBO stays. This is the first time we stayed at a unit managed by a company vs. managed by the owners directly so this seems to point to the less "personal" touches. We recommend providing future renters with a recommended shopping list along with other communication coming just before the stay so they aren't surprised by very limited household items. This should also include instructions on when trash pick up is so renters know when to put the trash bin out.

Exceptional value

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed at the condo for 9 days. The condo was immaculate and had enough room for 10 of us to stay comfortably. The air conditioning and wifi worked great. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and were very quick to respond to any questions I had prior to our arrival. The ride to Disney was about 25 minutes, and about 35 minutes to Universal. The Publix at the end of the road has all you need. The only reason I did not give 5 stars were 1) the condo is about the farthest one from the pool area. In 100 degree weather we wish we would have been closer. 2) The pool area is extremely small, a bit deceiving from the online description. 3) The pots in the unit were very cheap (as can be expected) and every time we cooked something in them they tasted like plastic. I went down the road and bought a large sauce pan for $20 and brought it home with me. Other than that, all needed items were provided. Would stay again!

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six enjoyed this nicely decorated home. We could spread out and enjoy a little quiet time after spending intense "together" time at the Disney parks. SO NICE TO SPREAD OUT! The place was quiet and a short drive (or long walk) to Publix for groceries. The unit had everything we needed in the kitchen to save some money by eating in.

When we first checked in, there was no wifi but a quick phone call to Debbie fixed that. It worked great! (Thanks for your quick response, Debbie.) The dining table is a little close to the couch but we managed to fit six around the table.

There is a very nice pool/lazy river/slide. An extra expense for the pool was required; not sure we took enough advantage of it for the cost. But the lazy river is very relaxing. (You can pick up inflatable rings at Publix or the Regal Palms shop.) While we were there, they implemented a policy to keep track of swimming towels or pay a fine so make sure you know where your swimming towels are!

Thank you for a very relaxing stay!

Loved the Resort & Loved the Townhouse!

  • 4 of 5

This home definitely met our needs. Debbie was easy and pleasant to work with and the staff at the resort was helpful when I had to send & receive faxes for work. Everyone - including the adults - enjoyed the lazy river and pool (the kids nicknamed it CRAZY river as it was a little fast!). Of course having a TV in all the bedrooms was an added bonus. I'm not giving the townhouse 5 stars for a couple of minor reasons - - lighting was very dim in the bedrooms. The bdrm w/the Q bed had no light bulb at all in one of the lamps. In the King bdrm, both lamps had bulbs - but the chain to pull to turn the light on/off was missing on one... so the bulb had to be twisted to turn off/on. Also - we had some issues with the main downstairs TV - kept losing the cable (satellite?), and the wifi was flakey at times. It's very possible that the TV problem was due to the user :) --- and we were able to work around any wifi issues. All in all, enjoyed the stay and would have no problems recommending this home and the Regal Palms resort.
