Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review. As summer starts to wind down, the fly fishing should continue to be good from all reports we have gotten up until the snow comes. Glad you were able to fish the Truckee and enjoy our vacation home with friends.

Wonderful extended weekend was enjoyed by all especially the spectacular view.

  • 4 of 5

This home is very comfortable. The outside living is beautiful and welcoming. We really liked the close proximity to the river. Never was there a dull moment while watching the folks on the river, the fisherman and the wildlife. And the owners were always helpful with any need - nice to have them nearby.

Beautiful river views and clean home

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in Truckee. The home was a good size for our family. It was a little outdated but very clean. We enjoyed the porch and fly fishing in the river out front. The owners were helpful with any questions we had. We would stay again.

Beautiful home, amazing scenery, perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

Visited the area to attend Hot August Nights in Reno. This beautiful property was only 25 minutes from Reno, but felt like a world away. Me, my husband and two 20-something daughters loved every minute of our stay. Relaxing and enchanting. Planning to make this an annual tradition =D

Peaceful home by the truckee river

  • 5 of 5

We visited lake Tahoe a few years ago as tourist. This time we wanted a quite place for family vacation. This house is exactly what we had hoped for. It is very homey. From the deck, we can see the river bend and the fisher men. We go down to the rivers all the time. We did drive to lake Tahoe to visit D. L. Bliss state park and Emerald bay, but it is the home that make the vacation special. Duane and Diane have been very helpful too, we look forward to coming back again.

Owner's Response: With the many choices travelers have for accommodations when visiting the Lake Tahoe area, it is nice to hear our home provided a comfortable and relaxing stay for your family. The four seasons on the Truckee River each offer a different experience for our guests and we hope you can return to California to enjoy the special beauty of Tahoe again. Thank you!

Rest & Relaxation on the Truckee

  • 4 of 5

If you enjoy reading a book, dropping your line into a beautiful river, and just relaxing then this is the place to rent. Home is nice with the items you need to make your stay. Easy access to the Town of Truckee, Northstar, and of course Lake Tahoe. Considering there are other dogs in the immediate area and the home is "lived in" I would suggest that the owners allow at least one pet but I realize that is their choice and right. Great place to rest and get prepared for the adventures of Lake Tahoe.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments. We do get inquiries as to pet allowance from time to time and you indicated you did not mind leaving your dog at home. As a lot of travelers do have allergies and travel to Tahoe to relax and sightsee without pets, we prefer this policy. Dogs are indeed found in any neighborhood especially in the Truckee-Tahoe area but we prefer no pets at our rental. Thanks for staying!
