Great location, clean, in a very nice neighborhood.
The apartment was warm (very cold outside) and had all the amenities listed. A non stick frying pan would have been a nice addition to the kitchen. Being on the ground floor you could hear the people walking upstairs and children running early morning getting ready for school. I am not sure that it can be avoided. Otherwise quiet with no audible traffic noise. The street is quaint, and the area very lively with great shops and restaurants. We had a pleasant stay, and will consider returning in the future. Thank you Johana!
Great Location for Our Needs
My wife and I have stayed at this location several times over the last 15 or so years. It’s less than a block to Smith Street and restaurants, bars and the Carroll Street subway station. There’s a small wine room at the corner of Hoyt & Union that’s even closer (Black Mountain Wine House). An added feature for us is it’s 2 short blocks to our daughters place. Since our last stay they added a table and chairs to an outdoor patio area. It was far too cold this Christmas to utilize them, but appears to be a nice addition for warmer weather. This apartment has always been clean and well maintained. We will return.
Charming garden apartment in a neighborhood of brownstones.
We were pleased to find a place in Carroll Gardens convenient to our family, the subway and with few stairs. The apartment is in the ground floor of a brownstone. It was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The decor was charming. There was a lovely garden in the back but it was a bit cold for sitting outside in November. We will definitely hope to book it for future visits.
Spotless, quiet, comfortable, and convenient
The description of the apartment was accurate and it had everything that we needed. It is located on a quiet(!), tree lined street very close to the subway that runs up to midtown Manhattan. Within a few blocks of the apartment one can find an excellent grocery store, fine dining, good wine shops, etc.. We used this rental to explore Brooklyn and Manhattan and we encourage others to do the same.
Good but not great
Wonderful location, very clean and owners were helpful. We would like to have better information of the use of the shower, very tricky and dangerous up to a point. The TV was marginal at best and took quite a while to get used to. We would have appreciated a little note explaining simple tasks. We spend quite a bit of time in Brooklyn and are always looking for places to stay.
Nice cozy place in Brooklyn
Cozy, nicely decorated ground floor apartment in a very walk-able area. Two blocks to the Carroll Street Subway Station. We loved the Kittery restaurant, which is right up the street. Two blocks over on Court Street, we found a health food store with a good grocery selection and across the street is a fresh fish market. The apartment had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. Since we were there in August, we appreciated the air conditioning. The only thing lacking was adequate lighting in the kitchen area which we solved by bringing in a couple of table lamps from the other room.
