Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Day bed, 2 bathrooms, 2 porches, quiet (Sleeps up to 12)

Behind the simple exterior of this country home, lies a beautifully refurbished interior, with modern amenities including WiFi. Our house, set in 115 acres of peace and tranquility, is the ideal place to unwind and refresh in the natural beauty of Southeast Tennessee.

On the main floor of this five-bedroom home you will find an open, kitchen-dining-sitting area, two full bathrooms - with travertine stone floors and a bedroom (2 twins). Upstairs there is an additional sitting area to read, chat or play games and four bedrooms. The house sits on a hill, between fields and woodland, with porches on two floors to admire the views and take in a sunset.

You might choose to linger over an old-fashion breakfast, stroll along the nature trails, swim in the saltwater pool, picnic beside the creek, or perhaps spend a relaxing evening around a campfire, enjoying the brilliant starry skies.

You may see goats, a donkey, alpacas, chickens, ducks and geese as you stroll around the land. From the porch you may spot deer grazing in the morning as well as a variety of other local wildlife. It is a remarkable area for bird watching too!

Our large saltwater pool, is usually open from early - mid May until early October. This pool, which is 25 yards in length, is shared with 12 families who live on the 115 acres.

We are always happy to work with you to provide what is needed to make your stay just right.

beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

We came for the eclipse and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The house is adorable and very well appointed. Tons of sleeping space and VERY comfortable beds! And I've never seen a larger above ground pool. My kids swam every day, which was wonderful, especially because the pool is within sight lines of the house. If we're ever in Decatur TN again, we will definitely come back to this house!

serene, special retreat time

  • 5 of 5

What a special place for a weekend retreat. Our organization found this home perfect as a contemplative retreat for our nine board members. The pool was refreshing, the house, porch and walking trails gave us all the space needed to think big. And the creek was a bonus. We saw lots of wildlife (rabbits, deer, opossum, birds and more birds, even fox, and heard coyotes in the distance). This place is part of a small spiritual community and the few people we met while walking around and at the pool were friendly, helpful and respectful

Thank you for the making your place available, and we will be back in 2018.

Tranquil getaway

  • 4 of 5

Very secluded and quiet property...great for nature lovers and family getaway. This is great for those who want to get away from it all-and I mean it all, may be too quiet for some. Huge, sparkling pool - crystal clear water. House was well stocked and had probably 2 or 3 of anything you could need. Beautiful, comfy bedding and bedroom decor - abundance of pillows and bedding. Wonderful library of books of all kinds. Bring dvds as there is not much on the tv and wifi is limited-so no streaming movies, etc. There is a playpen and boom boxes! Air conditioning and water pressure was great! Couches were comfortable and plenty of seating on porches. Not luxurious but super comfy and cozy!
