We've been vacationing in McCall since 2002 with our children making some of the greatest memories in our lives.
David Hinchman purchased this Cabin in 2002
Why David Hinchman chose McCall
Wake up to sunrise on Payette Lake with coffee on the private dock. Boat across to Ponderosa State Park. Walk to hiking and mountain bike trails, 5 minute drive to XC skiing. 10 minute drive to alpine skiing, snowboarding at Brundage Mountain. Drive 8 minutes to McCall to ice skate indoors year round, shop and supply for mountain fun. McCall is at 5000 ft elevation, 100 miles north of Boise (2.25 hr drive, 40 min. commuter flight) on Payette Lake. Hundreds of smaller alpine lakes surround for hiking, fishing, mountain biking. A few restaurants are in town, Tamarack and Jug Mountain resorts are a short drive.

Perfect lake house on Payette Lake.
Wonderful location on the lake. Great sunrise views. House was comfortable for our family of 8. Could easily accommodate 10-12. Enjoyed everything on the lake. Paddle boards and kayak were definately worth it. One of few rental lake homes with air conditioning.
Perfect lake house vacation!!
We just got back from a week at this cabin and loved every second!! Perfect location in every way! Loved the dock, beach, firepit, hot tub!! It was a family vacation we will never forget and can't wait to come back.
Very relaxing stay! Beautiful views and simple drive to town!
Had 8 family members stay very comfortably, great skiing only 20 min away!
This cabin was great and meet most of our needs! It is an older cabin but one you feel at home in. Beautiful location and view. It had everything you needed for a short weekend stay or long vacation. It is a tighter floor plan if you are planning on having 10+ people but plenty of sleeping space for that many. A few things that we had issues with was: The hot tub was dirty but the owner is looking into why the cleaning service had not cleaned it. The cabin was out of fire wood but that didn't matter to much to us and he was great to work with. Also for snowmobilers, the parking is very tight and I would only recommend taking sled decks and no trailers. We had to unhook and manually push a two place sled trailer into the driveway due to how tight the corner was and how the snow was plowed on the street that the driveway comes off of. Overall a great cabin and a great stay!
Cozy and Laid Back
We rented for a long winter weekend for a private wedding ceremony. Kids, grandkids and the officiant. Spacious. We were not constantly on top of each other. Double living room was awesome. Beds are comfy. Hot tub fantastic. Road was really plowed well. We had passenger cars with chains no problem. Owners respond quickly to request. Décor is casual and comfortable. View is magnificent. Would absolutely request a return visit any season.
Pleasant and relaxing!
We had a wonderful week staying at the Hinchman's. It was close to town, but not too close. It was equipped with just about everything we needed and has a killer view.
The only thing we had trouble with was hauling the kayak and paddle board to and from the lake. Both paddle boards were cracked and filled with water, so we only used one.
Everything else was nice and relaxing. The family came up from CA to experience a week on a lake and it could not have gone better. We appreciated the privacy and accessability of the home.
We would absolutely recommend this home, everyone was very happy.
