Paradise in Uvita!
We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at Joyce's home. We spent the first part of our vacation in Jaco which is very different to the small town feel of Uvita. The home is in close proximity to groceries, restaurants and beaches. The road is a little rough but adds to the charm. The two dogs are great and very sweet, made us feel right at home. Kitchen was perfect, the open air feel of the house and the pool that comes right into the living space is amazing. Nice big bedrooms and bathrooms—and the artwork is beautiful. Yoga up the hill at the Hart Center was a nice treat. As I sit here in NH staring at the snow I miss everything about Joyce's home... We didn't want to leave!
Beautiful house in the hills above Uvita. Easy short drive to beaches, groceries, restaurants
Cool layout with common areas open to the hillside and the pool, so the only time you’re really “inside “ is when you’re in the bedrooms. Secure (mgr lives in separate apartment on-site), super comfortable.
very restful holidays
Amazing home in the middle of the jungle
We had a really good stay .
The place was really clean. The owner kept in touch with us during the whole stay.
This home is heaven on earth.
Banks and groceries stores are 5 min far .
Really convenient location
Casa Mañana is a stunning jungle-surrounded house. We enjoyed the rainy afternoons relaxing on the sofa, or in the pool. The house is totally open to the outside, and the pool comes a bit into the living area, so everyone can always be together. If you desire privacy, then one of the generously sized bedrooms are each equipped with a huge restroom and locking doors. Casa Mañana has a great location. It is just minutes to Uvita, and about 20 minutes from Domincal. The owner, Joyce, is very outgoing and kind. She is just a phone call away ( phone to call her is provided). She also provided some fruit, bread, as well as some other food to welcome us. Joyce has provided everything to help you feel that you are truly on vacation.
This is our third and last day at Joyce's Casa Manana and it has been an exceptional experience! The home is beautifully designed and decorated with items Joyce has collected from around the world. This is not the usual stripped down rental property, rather it feels like your own home... only cooler! It's located in the rain forest and provides an excellent spot from which to watch birds and animals. This morning we ate breakfast and watched three black-mandibled toucans having their breakfast in the trees across the ravine. This afternoon, while we were relaxing in the swimming pool, we watched a troop of white-headed capuchin monkeys in those same trees. This really is paradise.
The exotic colorful tropical gardens surrounding this property are an ongoing passion of mine. Palms, ferns, cordylines, crotons, gingers, torch gingers, shampoo gingers and many verities of ornamental. Including my prized collection of over 40 different heliconias. Casa Manana is very secluded, surrounded by jungle but only ½ mile off the main highway. White face and howler monkeys frequent the property plus sloths, coatimundis, toucans, a variety of birds and whatever else happens by. And is a short distance from the beach. Other Activities: Shelling, Wildlife viewing, boating, kayaking
