About Tim Reilly
I'm semi retired. My wife and I moved to Colorado from Iowa around 15 years ago. We had a chocolate business there which we sold and moved to Evergreen. I like to play tennis, ski, and a few other sports. We love the mountains and have made many friends along the way. Our rental properties, house, townhouse, and condo in Georgetown our beautiful and well equipped with awesome views and plenty of wild life in the area. You can hike right out the front door at the house or ski 12 minutes away at Loveland. We also love to travel, some of our favorite places are in northern Italy and all of Switzerland. We recently got back from a two week trip to Kenya. My wife has also done many worldwide trips with Habitat for Humanity. Our motto is travel lite and travel often. Tim
Tim Reilly purchased this House in 2006
Why Tim Reilly chose Georgetown
I chose this property because it was a newer house with great mountain views with lots of wildlife. It has easy freeway access to 7 major ski areas, good in town restaurants, but you can still get to Denver in less than 45 minutes.
What makes this House unique
Almost every day you'll see deer on the property. Many times you will also see mountain rams near by. It's a newer property with newer amenities.

This house is beautiful, comfortable and well designed for sharing.
The 4* rating is because of the only serious drawback to staying in the sweet western town of Georgetown: the inescapable noise from I-70 although it is a constant hum that eventually fades into background noise. The positives of the house are its extremely comfortable living room with a great view of the mountainside (look for the bighorn sheep grazing among the rocky outcroppings) and the very private sleeping arrangements with a large master bedroom on the top floor and 2 bedrooms on the first floor with the communal space in between on the second floor. Hummingbirds, chickdees, rabbits, mule deer, and chipmunks were among the immediate neighbors. We encountered at least a few nonconfrontational, very photogenic bighorn sheep each time we drove down to the town. For lowlanders like me there is a pleasant level trail that begins at the top of the road a short walk from the house. The town itself is a very charming, small town with several good restaurants and lots of interesting shops. We liked the Mexican restaurant Lucha the best. The owner was very responsive to our questions before our stay. One note: my gps took me right to the house but because the road is narrow and unpaved I doubted it at a couple of points.
Nice house in a good location.
We stayed in the house for two nights with two other adult couples. It was a convenient location relative to the Loveland Ski area that we spent the day at. The house is large and comfortable. It is also well stocked with cooking and other accessories. My husband and I used the master suite, which is located on the top floor of this 3-level house. The first night was very comfortable. The in-floor heating does a good job distributing the heat evenly throughout the space, and there are thermostats located on each floor so the zones can be controlled separately, which is nice for guests that like different sleeping temperatures. There were very heavy winds one night, which seemed to force their way through every window and door crack on the top floor, so it was very cold for half a night in the master suite. The other couples reported that they were very comfortable in the other two bedrooms, which are located on the ground level. The overall condition of the house is good, but is showing it's age. I would estimate that it was built or last remodeled in the mid 90's. Door seals are not as good as they used to be - exterior door hardware takes a bit of work to use normally. Everything internally seems to work fine, but just looks like it's been well used for the last 20 years. All that said, I think the price is in line with the size and condition of the house, so I am not complaining - just sharing my overall experience. It was a comfortable stay, and we all had fun. I would stay in the house again. Oh - the owner is extremely responsive and communicative, by the way - which is definitely a plus.
Spacious mountain home with easy access to many ski areas
We recently stayed here for a weekend of snow activities and the house set up was perfect for our group of 9. We are a family of 5 with three small children (infant, 3 and 5 year old). We had the room upstairs and it was perfect, there were two portable mattresses (and plenty of room to lay them out) for our two older children and then a pack and play for our infant, we had our own private bathroom and a door so we could put the kids to bed without waking them up with the noise from downstairs. The two downstairs bedrooms were occupied by the two couples that had dogs and they had easy access to outside from their rooms. The location of the house was great and close to many activities. Some people went skiing and snowboarding which was 20 min away, some went snowshoeing which was 15 min away and some toured a gold mine which was 5 min away. There’s also a great brewery in town-5 min away. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Thanks for the nice review. You guys sure did a lot in the area over a couple day stay. i'm impressed by the variety of things during the winter. Please come back in the future. Tim
Great place to stay
This is a beautiful place and it was everything we expected it to be and more. Great views and very nice house.
Pro's: View of Lake , some of town, and mountains. even though there are houses around you with the trees you get the feel of somewhat secluded. House was clean and in good shape. We used the gas grill which was very nice to be able to cook and hang out outside. We didn't use the hot tub in the master bedroom but it was very nice looking. Every question I had the owner answered and he took great strides to make sure we were happy.
Con's: Kitchen floor squeaked a little and was worried about waking our guest who were sleeping below the kitchen and some of the cam lights and ceiling fans we could not figure out how to work.( All this is very minor and did not change my mind about this place as I gave it a 5 star rating because the cons are very minor and I expect to have a minor issues in a house that is well used by VRBO guest.)
Not Con's but things to know: I would recommend to rent or have a 4 wheel drive vehicle or all wheel drive to stay here in winter time. The public road to the house is narrow road that can be challenging for 2 vehicles to pass each other and can be challenging in snow/bad weather. I didn't write this as a con because the public roads should not effect the rating of house and its not the owners responsibility to maintain roads but something I felt people who are coming here should be aware of.
Over all: I hope to come back to Georgetown in the future and this is the house I want to stay in again. Your family will love this house and the views.
Hey Jason, thanks for the nice review, I appreciate the detailed and well thought out review. Please come back in the future. Summers are great in the Georgetown area, lots of hiking, fishing, zip lines, and rafting. Tim
Great location! Beautiful views!
The house was fantastic! We had everything we needed plus some. Tim was very accommodating. We were able to ski and snow tube in several towns with the convenient relative location of the house. The views from the decks were breathtaking! We also got a lot of snow so a 4x4 is a must! Excellent stay!
Hi Leah, thanks for the nice review. Glad you guys had a good time in the area. Tim
