About the property

House: 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4, extra charge for up to 2 more guests)

Relax in our new custom built home on 7 1/2 private fenced and gated acres with panoramic Glacier Park vistas of the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Enjoy the views and solitude from the expansive redwood deck overlooking active beaver ponds where wildlife and birds abound. Moose, bear, deer, fox, waterfowl, and songbirds are frequent visitors where they share with us the natural beauty of Montana. Our home is sheltered in a gently sloping aspen grove with berry bushes, dogwood, and marsh grasses surrounding the ponds. The property is located two miles from the village of East Glacier Park (Amtrak stop) and from there a short drive to the Two Medicine entrance of Glacier National Park. It is also an easy drive to access other entrances to The Park.

The house consists of three bedrooms and two baths. There are two 4' showers and an antique clawfoot tub where one can luxuriate after a long days hike. Each bedroom has mountain and pond views. The two main floor bedrooms each have two twin beds while the upstairs master bedroom has a king bed where the sunsets and alpenglow will amaze you. The house is listed as sleeping four guests but it can accommodate a total of six with an additional charge for the extra guest(s). Go to sleep to the sound of beaver tails slapping the pond surface reminding you of the wilderness around you.

The open floor plan on the main level has 12' ceilings with knotty pine paneling, circular-sawn wood floors, solid maple kitchen cabinetry, and limitless views of mountain peaks. Sit in the comfortable living room recounting your days events or daydreaming as you overlook the ponds, Mt. Henry and Scenic Point. The dining area has a large oak table with seating for up to ten dinner guests. In building our dream home, much thought and effort went into designing the kitchen. In this large space you have the accoutrements and prep area to create the simplest of Montana breakfasts to the haute cuisine of a gourmet 5 star restaurant.

Whether you are whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing the renowned Blackfeet Reservation lakes or in Glacier Park, summiting the surrounding peaks, hiking the picturesque Glacier Park trails, horseback riding, attending Pow Wow Days in Browning, golfing, sightseeing on the scenic Going to the Sun Road or hiking out your front door on tribal lands, you can be certain that an adventure awaits you in Big Sky Country. No matter where the events of the day may lead you, there is always a warm comfortable home awaiting your return.

Why The Owner chose Glacier Country

The Rocky Mountain Front is one of the true wild places in the lower 48 states. The proximity to Glacier National Park and the surrounding untrammeled lands drew us to this unique location.

The Perfect Spot!

  • 5 of 5

This home in East Glacier Park is a perfect spot to relax and take in the spectacular Montana landscape after a day of hiking and exploring! We spent 5 nights; the home is beautifully appointed and is equipped with everything you could need. It feels extremely spacious with the lofted ceilings, upstairs master and two full bathrooms. The two bedrooms downstairs are roomy and comfortable. (As a note: the interior photos of this home do not do it justice! The details and decor are wonderful!) The owners are professional and kind -- very easy to work with!

We were able to explore all of Glacier National Park that we wanted to from this house as a home base. We hiked on the East Side (St. Mary and Two Medicine), headed north to Many Glacier and traveled Going to the Sun Road to West Glacier. West Glacier Village is cute but touristy; it was such a relief to come "home" to the quiet, authentic feel of this property.

We built memories that will last a lifetime!

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful, warm, comfy, well equipped, spotless house. We so enjoyed our stay here and loved coming home to this house after long days exploring Glacier and surrounding areas such as Two Medicine and Many Glacier/Swiftcurrent. There are great views out every window of the house especially of the 2 ponds on the property and surrounding mountains. We had a moose and calf one night in the pond at dusk---great to see. The kitchen is completely well equipped, which we enjoyed as we cooked in most nights. But you must try Serrano's Mexican restaurant in town if you stay here-delicious! The owners of the house were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions for the area and making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay in their house. They have put a lot of effort into thinking of everything one might need or want in a vacation rental. We have rented many houses through VRBO and this is one of the top two favorites we have stayed in. This is definitely a 5 star house if you want to stay in the East Glacier area.

Omg the property was fantastic. The views are even better than expected. The cabin unbelievable

  • 5 of 5

Phil and Barbara are the best. We had so much great info even before we got there about what to do, where to go, where to eat. It couldn't be easier to get to from the airport. 2 turns. Moose on the property. Ducks and geese and black bear. A stones throw from the park. And everything you need at the cabin. More condiments and spices than you can count. Most comfortable beds. We can't say enough. Thank you so much. We'll be back. I want to see the park in the spring. It was beautiful in September. We have so much more to see and do.

Great house; great location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the house - what a great spot! The layout was ideal and the location was perfect for exploring Glacier National Park. The house had all we needed, including good info and follow-ups from the owners. The views were fantastic, and it was close enough to what we needed, but secluded enough to quietly wind down on the deck after a day of hiking and exploring Glacier. We would definitely come back if we get a chance to visit the area again.

Great place to stay to see Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in East Glacier. The house was completely equipped with everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Close to the Two Medicine entrance, a less visited and beautiful part of the park, we spent everyday hiking the trails. Phil checked on us a couple times to make sure everything was going well for us. Our last night on the deck we saw a black bear come out of the brush in front of the house and lazily move up the driveway. What a treat!

Great Glacier House

  • 5 of 5

This home was very spacious and comfortable. The two bedrooms with twin beds in each worked out great for my sons and daughter. The house was very well equipped; not just with great appliances, but all the little toiletries and kitchen necessities so you only really have to bring the food to cook. We really enjoyed ourselves.
