Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo received a complete renovation so we can offer all the amenities the discriminating traveler desires. From the stainless steel kitchen complete with all small appliances, glassware and cookware to the Select Comfort Sleep Number adjustable mattresses on the king and twin beds, from the custom bath and shower areas with hair dryer to the flat screen TVs with DVD players in the bedrooms and living room, and full-size front loading washer and dryer in the unit (with free laundry detergent!)- we strive to fulfill your needs. We provide a small library of books and games if you want to spend an evening inside just relaxing. Plus FREE Wi-Fi!
Our lanai overlooks the upper pool,BBQ area and offers exquisite ocean views. Whale sightings are plentiful from December to April. It's an easy stroll (300 paces) to the ocean and we offer beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, a Frisbee or two, and kids share the numerous buckets, shovels and beach toys for sand castle building.
Although our unit is not air conditioned the upper floor location and trade winds usually cool the condo nicely. When trade winds die and summer heats up it can be a little warm but we have ceiling fans & floor fans for your comfort. A/C hopefully in 2018!
Excellent restaurants and shopping are within an easy walk. Golf and additional ocean activities can be found within a few minutes drive. Bus/trolley service is available to other island attractions such as the aquarium, Lahaina (once the whaling town), Wailea or Kaanapali resort areas and a bus/trolley schedule is provided in the condo.
Effective Feb 1st you need to have a reservation to drive up Haleakala for sunrise. It's just $1.50/car in addition to the park admission but they are only allowing 150 vehicles (that's the number of parking spaces in the park) while they had been getting as many as 300/sunrise.

Of all the places we looked at to purchase, Kihei Akahi offered a superb sunny location within walking distance to great restaurants, beaches and shopping. We discovered that many times when it rains in Lahaina and Kaanapali, Kihei is usually sunny and warm. Located across from Kaamaole Beach II (voted the best beach on Maui several times) and offering 2 pools with BBQ facilities and tennis courts on site added to Kihei Aklahi's qualities. Boat trips, whether for scuba diving, snorkeling or rentals can be found within walking distance at Kihei Boat ramp.
The outstanding view from our lanai is next to Heaven itself. We have over 180 degree view from the west Maui mountains to Molikini Crater. From December to April whales frolic in the waters off Kaamaole Beach as if there to be your private performers. And if sunsets aren't breathtaking enough, looking out the front door up Haleakala Volcano at sunrise surely will do the job.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at our condo and had a great time showing our friends, Angie & Jim, the splendors of Maui & Lanai. We have big plans for the condo this summer- new windows, A/C, new carpet & painting throughout. We look forward to upgrading our Maui Paradise home & sharing it with our many guests & friends. Trilogy, Pacific Whale Foundation, Wailea Gateway, Fabiano's( great macaroons!) and Lava Rock Restaurant in Kihei topped our list this visit plus Fred's, our usual hangout. As always, the condo was clean, welcoming and ready for occupancy. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen it is easy to live here. Located on the 6th floor of Building D, the condo has the best view. A large balcony encourages watching for whales and awesome sunsets. It is a short walk to a safe swimming beach with turtles and colorful tropical fish. And it is close to great restaurants and shopping. We will stay here again!

We didn't see any fire extinguisher in the unit. Maybe want one in the kitchen?
SleepMaster bed in master bedroom did not respond to any changes. It was fully plugged in - we checked.
Though grounds exceptionally well taken care of and immaculately clean, the manager of the complex was unkind and unfriendly and we referred to him as "Mr. Nasty." Other owners attested to this fact as well. It was obvious that his employees are not happy and are stressed under his leadership.
It would also be nice if the groundskeepers could use electric devices. The blower in particular was so noisy, it was overwhelming at times.
Despite these minor inconveniences, we will be back and highly recommend the unit. Susan, the owner, is super friendly and helpful which is important when renting any place.
Monkeypod was our favorite restaurant as well as Cafe O'Lei. Snorkeling to Molikini also a great time.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was exactly as pictured/described. The wifi was not great, and many people may say you go on vacation to get away, which is true, but we still appreciate the ability to stay in touch with family home through our portable devices. All other amenities were as described. If we needed a 2 bedroom condo again we'd certainly come back to this condo.
Everything was in good repair at this condo and having the trunk with beach supplies was a bonus. The view was spectacular and the kitchen was well stocked. Due to food allergies for some of our group we had to eat in more often and we found what we needed - even some spices! We did leave a few more and some oatmeal packets for the next quests. Susan, we did accidentally drop and break a salad plate and we apologize for that. We did not get a chance to replace it as it was just before we left. Our family had a lovely time and we thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful condo.
Love this condo!! Did not want to leave!! View is the best!! Condo has everything you could need and more!! The owner Sue is the best!!
