Freestanding cabin in beautiful Sunriver, Oregon!
Our cabin is knotty pine on the inside. It features a loft with a king-size bed and a separate full bathroom with stack washer/dryer. Downstairs has a separate bedroom, a double bed with a half bath. Both beds are new. There is a full kitchen which is open to the living room. Linens, all kitchen appliances and utensils are provided. One side of the living room looks out onto a full deck, facing lodgepole pine trees.
Our cabin is about eight-tenths of a mile from the store/mall area and is about one-fourth of a mile from the Deschutes River. We have six bicycles and a canoe at the cabin. We do not allow pets.
Our guestbooks are full of comments about how homey and comfortable our cabin is!

I am a dental hygienist and my husband is a retired school teacher. We have a teenage daughter that loves 4H. We live rurally with several horses, a pig, some chickens, 2 dogs and a cat. We like to fish, sail, and camp in our spare time. We spent many years building our home in the Applegate Valley and are enjoying the fruits of our labor. Our daughter is involved in 4H and loves PIGGIES of all things! My husband has started sailing and recently got a good deal on a formerly owned sailboat. He is hoping to sail it in the San Juan Islands or to Catalina Island someday. I work 3 days a week for a local dentist. I've been a hygienist for 33 years and love listening to people and actually love my work! I also spend time on an internet website directing people to correct information and resources and also raising awareness of Kawasaki Disease. My daughter had this when she was 6 years old and it has left her with some heart damage. God is good though and we all have full lives!
Sandy or David Franklin purchased this cabin in 1989
We chose to buy a cabin in Sunriver after spending our honeymoon there in 1987. We had done a lot of cross-country skiing, bike riding, playing tennis and loving the beauty of the area. At the time we had a little extra money and this cabin fit into a budget we could afford. We have updated it over the years and put in new carpet downstairs, new vinyl, new shower stall, and new hickory cabinets for the kitchen this summer of 2011. We also have put in two 8 ft sliding doors and one new 6 ft slider in the living room.
We have spent so many holidays there.....Chistmas and Thanksgiving....Spring Vacations.....it NEVER gets old. There is always something going on in the area, from the fantastic festivals, to functions/dinners at the Great Hall, to the observatory events...too much to describe! Outside of Sunriver there is the Lava Tube Forest, the High Desert Museum, South Century Drive to the mountains and lakes, snow parks abound. It truly is a very special area. Staying inside the cabin offers the peace of relaxation, sitting on the deck with coffee, reading or taking a nap. The environment in Sunriver is just a perfect place for a vacation and caters to every kind of vacation experience imaginable!
We had a great time at this Sunriver property 2 weeks ago. It was well furnished and clean. They generously had 6 SHARC passes available, which we all enjoyed. It was close to beautiful biking trails. What a great time!
Our stay in this cabin was marvelous! Plenty of room for 2 (or more!) Location at sunriver perfect for stroll to lodge, village shopping and even the sharc pool complex... Everything we needed, including well stocked kitchen for cooking meal for family reunion picnic... Owners response to our inquiry most timely and helpful... Great in all ways! Will plan to stay here for future visits to area... Thank you so much for sharing your "home away from home"!
Overall, a nice place. Vertical blinds desperately need repair/replacement. Otherwise, pretty comfortable and nice quiet location.
Close to everything , however private as well. Very well maintained home fully stocked kitchen, very clean and cozy. Would definitely come back for another family destination holiday or trip.
The condo was in a great location, close to everything. It was clean and had everything you need on vacation. The best part was the SHARC passes. The downside was the AC was unable to keep the condo cool and at night it was so hot upstairs. The place cooled off with all windows open and fans going. The other downsize was the lack of wifi. All in all we had a great time and will go to Sunriver again soon.
The cabin included all of the amenities one needed for our vacation while attending a family reunion. Located 3/4 mile from the "Village", we were able to ride bikes there easily using resort trails. Also able to ride bikes across the resort to visit other relatives. Went as far away as Fort Rock Park and Caldera Springs. Wife not thrilled with upstairs master bedroom. Didn't have A/C, but didn't need it, even in July. TV channel selection was limited. The day we left there was a small mule deer near the car.
