Ocean view beach villa on 2nd level, looking over the lagoon pools and teeky torches. Great view of the ocean and no adjacent neighbors looking back at you, very private! Lanai from the master bedroom joins to the main lanai ! 2 king beds and restoration hardware high end double over double bunk beds, with 3 full private bathrooms. 1700 sq feet of living area, washer/dryer in unit, 4 plasma TV's with 4 blueray DVD players. Playpen, stroller and highchair, baby swing in unit! Brand new only been used by owners. The appliances are state of the art and we decorated our unit in Hawaiian theme. This is our home away from home and when you are there you will not want to leave!
I have upgraded the beds to two kings and double bunks and added black out blinds to all bedrooms. I also supply a fax/printer/scanner for those who need to work on vacation.
I have also supplied coolers and beach chairs kids water toys, snorkels as most units do not do this! It is fully equipped with all your needs! You will be steps from the 4 lagoons that the resort sits on, the lagoons are great for snorkeling and safety, especially for young children as the waves are very small ! There are shaded areas on the beach to accommodate those who want sun and those who want shade! Many great restaurants nearby to have a sunset drink or a buffet breakfast.
Grocery shopping is literally 5 - 10 minutes away with a Safeway, Target, Foodland, Costco and much more. Your a 40 min. drive from Turtle bay and the North shore and 20 mins from Waikiki and the Honolulu International Airport, and Diamond Head. Pearl Harbour is about 15 minutes away. there is endless places to go and things to see, but you truly will want to stay right where you are as this resort offers it all, including snorkeling and dolphin tours. The 'Fia Fia' Luao is a must see and it is a 5 min walk from the room!
You are also 20 mins from one of the top hospitals in North America!

Why Sarah chose Kapolei
This location is perfect. The 4 lagoon beaches are safe for children, the current and waves are less then that in the open ocean. And it is a quiet relaxing area, but if you feel like you want to get out to the city it is only 20mins away to busy waikiki with great dinning shopping etc. perfect spot !

The Ko Olina Beach Villas are a wonderful place stay in Oahu. However, since every unit is identical, I recommend choosing a different unit to avoid a headache. The owner of this property does not have customer service in mind. We were arriving as two parties to celebrate my dad's 70th bday. My parents' international flight had some last minute changes so I I asked Sarah to have them check in before us. She initially tried to charge us to have "an extra check-in fee" citing the management requirement to have 2 "meet-ups" But after speaking directly to the property management reps - who laughed at the suggestion, and pleasantly accommodated our two-party check-in. Through the whole matter, she was annoyed to have to deal with the changes because "she was on her vacation" (with no concept that we are PAYING HER TO WORK FOR US!) She never checked on us after this headache. Since our check-out (Feb 21st), we haven't heard from Sarah once. We've emailed her twice about the process of refunding our security deposit but haven't heard from her, nor got the deposit back yet. It may take time to refund it but I wish she is more communicative. I was going to hold off writing the review until I got the security deposit back (or not) but I didn't want to lose my opportunity to write if this going to be a long process.
The unit itself is ok even though it is a bit outdated. The dryer takes forever to dry anything and very loud (the owner mentioned it in the instructions, but still it was painful to wait a couple hours to dry anything). Not a big deal, but the TV responds to the remote way too slow we gave up to change the channel and watched one channel when we wanted to watch the Winter Olympic. The dishwasher doesn't wash well so we washed everything by hands. Water pressure in the shower was too weak to my preference. No extra supplies- you will need to buy your own paper towel, toilet papers and such. We didn't mind to be right above the pool, but please be aware of the noise from the pool.
Again, Ko Olina is a beautiful place to stay. But pick another unit. You don't want to stress out to deal with an incommunicative owner with no customer-service skills when you are leaving for a vacation. We picked this one reluctantly because every other unit got booked so quickly while we were shopping and this one was the only one still available at the last minute. Now maybe I know why.
Sadly this review doesn't tell the entire story.
I have owned since 2009 in Koolina and have had much success with business, and meeting amazing people and making sure all their needs are met.
Yes I was away on vacation , driving through the mountains to go skiing when this guest sent me a last minute change in schedule and I dealt with it as I could but lacked cell service most this day. the request came less then 48 hours to the guests arrival, NORMALLY NO PROBLEM , it is why I actually have the extra step of an on site manager that most other villas do not do.
I did mention that management MAY charge an extra charge to go greet half the party at a separate time, I would prefer to give my guests that as a heads up and then not bill them but management doesn't work for free so I can not control that. We normally would just meet the first set of guests arriving and not have to go back again for the second half of party but what this guest has failed to mention is the first party arriving DID NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH.
This is a huge problem for checking in as the check in isn't just to protect me and my villa it is to protect THE GUEST renting, they do a walk through and orientation and that is the time any damages not made by those guests get observed and noticed, how is management to do this with a guest that doesn't speak or understand english?
this guest was rude and sent me 50 emails in one day. My villa pics speak for them selves, the dishwasher was replaced this past summer so that is a lie , water pressure is excellent but yes dryers aren't vented in entire property so they are slow.
The villa is quieter then most as we have no neighbours to one side or looking back across from us. No two villas are the same, some of same layout but are different in their furnishings and views and privacy etc
Some people just can't be happy. I am not a travel agent, I rent out my villa, I am here to help plan a vacation but I do not work for my guests I work with them respectively and this guest was very disrespectful.
I did respond to his email regarding the return of damage deposit within 24 hours. however he sent me the first email within hours of his vacation being over and I can not always be available to respond within 5 hours. I always return DD within a week however this guest argued my method. I am glad to not ever deal with this guest again. My management was also very frustrated with them.
Picture Perfect - Great Location and the Perfect Unit
The Location: Perfect. It is along beautiful lagoons. The place to be. Perfectly calm water. Pretty shallow. Good snorkeling. One of the lagoons is shared by the Disney and the Four Seasons. One is used by a huge Marriott. One is left only to the Villas where the unit is located. This means that the lagoon used by the Villa has WAY fewer people on it. NEVER a problem getting a great spot on the beach. Walk over to the adjacent hotels - the beaches are slammed.
The Villa is in Ko Olina, which is like a super-safe kind of planned community. But there's actually a great restaurant across the street (MonkeyPod) and a very nice small market. Plus Costco is 5 minutes away so no problem.
The Unit: Perfect. We had a big group but it didn't feel crowded at all. The Unit is big and feels bigger. Totally up-to-date appliances (sub zero, wolf, etc). Extremely nice deck (lanai) that looked out over the pool. It's perfect because you can see everything going on at the pool but also get to have your privacy and separation. The complex itself is extremely clean and nice. They take their rules seriously but ultimately that's what you want. It's very well run. Also, there's a bar right adjacent to the beach that has very reasonably priced drinks. No restaurant on site but there are grills all over the property.
I've been to Ohau lots of times. Stayed in Ko Olina twice. This is the location and the unit you want. Don't hesitate.
Nice condo but bad experience.
During the course of our weeklong stay I was bitten by bedbugs. I kept trying to write it off as mosquito bites and realized towards the end of the trip as we were leaving what had been happening. I saw bugs in the room the second to last day. When we arrived home I wrote a message to the owner to inform her of the problem. She kept telling me she was sure it was mosquito bites. I have been bitten by mosquitoes all of my life, matter fact they love my blood and I am a mosquito bite expert LOL funny enough I am actually allergic to mosquitoes and have the same reaction every time I get bit. They swell up and become huge. These were not mosquito bites. I even went to a Doctor who looked at them and said they looked like bedbug bites. ( The owner told me a doctor could not prove that there were bedbugs bites but myself and the doctor both thought they were) It was a classic example of bed bugs. Even the bites being in a straight line or clusters. The owner basically made it seem like I was crazy and then proceeded to tell me that the hotel staff checked and could not find anything. Then she said there was a bug exterminator who came out and also said there is nothing. I asked to see a copy of the inspection report from the exterminator and instead got a letter from the hotel management saying that they did not see any bedbugs. I just think that this is disgusting when you pay that much money to stay somewhere and have this experience, and on top of that the owner was very dismissive and acted like I was crazy because this happened to me. I don't ever write bad reviews on things unless I am extremely upset and want someone else to avoid a similar situation. Not to mention that my three-month-old baby was sleeping next to me in bed and had bites as well. For which the owner had no remorse . Maybe try staying in a different room at this location… At this point I don't think I would go back here at all . They did nothing to accommodate me for this terrible experience.
I have in 8 years never had a poor review or a bad experience, with a guest ,nor have any of my many other guests had a complaint as my reviews show. I also with my young children stay here twice a year and have had no problems other then mosquito bites if it had rained. I was in touch with my guests who are regulars that stayed prior to this guest and they had no bites.
I was also in touch with friends of family who stayed immediately after this guest and they also had no issues.
After the entire villa was inspected thoroughly , and every linen was washed thouroughly and inspected I had the villa "bombed " just in case as no bugs were ever seen or found. I had a manager and pest inspection company look into this immediately. The pictures that were sent to me of these bites did not match the typical pictures of bed bug bites and weren't on the areas of the body or in a line formation as bed big bites would be.
A dr can not 100% tell the difference between bites.
I tried to work with this guest and it seemed like all was fine and now this review comes 3 months after her stay. Which I find questionable .
I even have an email from this guest telling me the dr couldn't confirm the bites.
I take much pride in running a 5 star review villa, as my reviews show, and listen to all my guests concerns and needs but between , myself, management , my personal company that I've had for years and the bed big inspection this accusation is false.
The cost to me personally for this false accusation to get the villa inspected bombed and to specially wash all linens was an extra $400+US , I did not take this out of the guestd damage deposit but I could have for the false accusations . Now to have this poor review is very hurtful when I went above and beyond to deal with this situation at my own expense.
Great for two families
We had a great stay with our daughter and her family. This property is perfect for families with children
Great spot in Ko'Olina!
This is a lovely unit in the Ko'Olina Beach Villas complex...clean and just the right size for six of us. The location in the complex is nice - on the second floor overlooking the pool and just a short walk to the beach. Overall the complex was quiet considering it was Christmas vacation and the beach and pool were never overcrowded. This complex is between the Marriott Beach Villas and Aulani Disney Resort which were considerably more crowded. There is no restaurant on the property since it is a residential complex, but you can easily walk to either of the two adjacent resorts which have restaurants or get to the small shopping complex across the street which has a Monkeypod restaurant, Hawaiian BBQ or Pizza for a quick meal (all were good). The owner was easy to work with and helpful in recommending things to see and places to eat. She also has amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards and snorkel gear on hand for quests to use. We had two cars that we were able to park in the underground parking garage. I really liked the beach/lagoon area...peaceful and easy to swim in without being in heavy surf. We easily made visits to the North Shore, Pearl Harbor and Waikiki by car, although traffic can be heavy during rush hour in the afternoon. Overall we had a great stay, and would definitely return!
We had a great time at this wonderful villa. We found the previous, complimentary reviews to be very accurate. The villa had plenty of room for our party (2 grandparents, my wife and I and our son) and the amenities in the villa and at Ko Olina were exceptional. We can't wait to go back and will definitely stay here again. Although my father is retired military and we could have stayed at the Hale Koa in Waikiki, we decided to stay at Ko Olina instead and are glad we did. The kitchen was great and we cooked several meals in the villa and at the poolside BBQ's. The pool, hot tubs and protected lagoons were very nice and we enjoyed snorkeling with the turtles in the "secret" lagoon. The boogie boards and beach toys were appreciated by our son while we made use of the beach chairs. We all agreed that the villa worked perfect for us.
