A fantastic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This home is fantastic. We came for the Highland Games and this home was just far enough away to be out of the mess yet close enough to get back and forth. Very comfortable, beautifully decorated, quiet setting. We want to come back and just hang out and enjoy the home and the area without the games so we can really enjoy everything this home has to offer.

A PRICELESS VIEW!

  • 5 of 5

Just say yes to this house rental and you are sure not to regret it! This house is perfect sized and filled with luxurious furniture and accommodations. The owners have generously given access to a washer and dryer for your needs. The beds are extremely comfortable and there are plenty of blankets and pillows. The lighting is gorgeous. Our family of four enjoyed days hiking outside, playing checkers out on the porch while enjoying the breathtaking views, relaxing in the hot tub, and family time in the living room with movies, games, tv, and a fireplace. Steps in back are easy to get to. We can’t wait to come here again! Beautiful home and full of necessities needed to stay. Thanks for treating us to a 5 Star stay!

Flatlanders:)

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here over the Christmas Holiday, awesome. We totally enjoyed the well manicured cabin that was clean and well furnished. All the amenities worked and were maintained. This cabin is a must for those that enjoy the outdoors with all the creature comforts. The driveway a little intimidating for a flatlander, once we got our mountain driving skills it was a blast. The owner of this property is accessible and knowledgeable of the area. She even put out Christmas tress for us, we will be back, hate leaving tomorrow.

Great Ski Weekend

  • 5 of 5

A great cabin tucked away. We came the weekend after the snow storm of January 2016. Despite the plentiful amount of snow left over and the remoteness, the roads heading up the cabin were in great shape. Beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain, peaceful creek steps from the cabin, built in (deck level) hot tub, gas fireplace, and equipped kitchen made this a wonderful stay. The only problems were: 1. the dryer was disabled and an service call was already in place to repair and 2. the tv service was not working, which did not matter to us because we didn't take a vacation to watch tv.

Couldn't have asked for a better stay! We will be back!

Quiet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is the second visit my husband and I have enjoyed a vacation of total relaxation at "High Country Fever"! The cabin has a breath taking view of Grandfather Mountain, which we enjoyed while sipping our morning coffee on the rocking chair front porch and unwinding in the evenings in the warm water of the outdoor spa tub. You feel a million miles away from the real world, but the location of the cabin is perfect to enjoy any of the activities that the 'High Country" offers. The cabin is clean, comfortable and has a well appointed kitchen plus has the convenience of a gas log fireplace for quiet cozy nights inside.
