About The Owner

I love the outdoors, long walks, hikes and beautiful sunsets. Apache Junction has it all.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2009

Why The Owner chose Greater Phoenix Area

The Superstitions are spectaular and this condo has an unobstructed view. I also volunteer at the Lost Dutchman state park which is close by.

What makes this condo unique

The sunsets reflecting back on the Superstitions are amazing and can be seen right from my living room couch! Or I can sit outside and watch the sunrise and moonrise over the mountain as well. This place is minutes from Saguaro and Canyon Lakes, the famous Apache Trail and every convenience you can imagine. The new Rec Center is just down the street too.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I rented the condo for December 2011 and found my stay to be most enjoyable. The condo is well quipped and has a comfortable bed and large closet which is a plus. It's quiet and near some good hiking trails. Also close to the library, recreation center and shopping. Thanks Renee, for the use of the cell phone. I would recommend this condo to family, friends and would stay here again.

Apache Junction Condo

This makes out third time in this condo. Very clean and all utensils you need to prepare food. Close to shopping and close to hiking trails. The view of Superstition Mountain is enough to stay here. Covered parking is also a plus.

The property was amply supplied and clean. We enjoyed the pool and surrounding areas around Apache Junction. Renee was honest and courteous in every respect. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in Apache Junction.

Great view, good value and location in Apache Junction.

  • 3 of 5

1 Jan - 31st Mar 2017.

Second time I have stayed at this unit (4mnths 2014). The location is ideal for me, close to shops, restaurants and walks in the area. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and the best in the complex. All of the major appliances are new this year. There was a welome bottle of wine in the fridge and a card courtesy of the owner.

Negatives- This could have been bad timing but straight away I had ants in the kitchen counters and cupboards, which got into my food. Ant traps seemed to clear up the problem after a while.

The new fridge was defective, would not get cool enough and my perishable food, milk, cheese, meat and salad was spoiled. This too was fixed after a couple weeks of having a spare fridge in the living room. I had no problems after that with the cooling. But I threw out all that food. Rene did give me a basic car wash voucher as a consolation.

The hot water alternated between scalding and Ok, seems they were working on this building's plumbing for a while as the water was on and off a few times.

There was a dog in a condo behind this that howled when he was left alone. At first I thought it was coyotes, but no.

The condo can be "musty" a few people mentioned this, it could be due to the fact that the water pipes for the building pass under the floor of the living room, which is a plus on those cooler days, like central heating.

I noticed the blinds moving inside the living room window when there was a strong direct wind on the window, which was always closed.

Positives- The kitchen and condo are well equipped with pots pans and kitchen aids.

The furniture is comfortable, there is wi fi and cable. There is lots of storage including a very large walk in closet. (Its got more items in it since the condo photo was taken a large fold away bed for one). The bed is comfortable lots of drawers.

This is the best priced condo in the area at the present, its well appointed but its the location and the view that make it a great place to rent.

There is a new super Fry's supermarket being built down the street. I would recommend hackers grill for breakfast, with in walking distance. Also cowboys up has a good burger just down the street.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your review and for being so patient with the initial issues. I had friends staying the month prior to your arrival that were moving after 30+ years. I didn't know that they would be bringing many items in from their outside storage shed, which is most likely why there were ants. I never saw any when cleaning or I would have taken steps prior to your arrival. And the refrigerator was ridiculous, but it happens. It was only 4 months old and had a freak issue that took two weeks to fix since they had to order the part. But at least they brought out a spare to use, even though I know it was inconvenient. The roll away bed doesn't take up that much room, but you put your bikes inside which requires more space. I keep it there just in case someone needs one for a guest. It is a 9ft X 6ft closet which is quite large. Again, thanks for your patience through all the issues. I'm just sorry that you only gave me three stars.

BETTER THAN GREAT!

  • 5 of 5

Past reviews and Renee's own description of this super condo were 'bang on'! We felt at home in the welcoming, Fully equipped condo, and soon learned 'the lay of the land' with the help of Renee's many books and maps. No need to venture into the madness of downtown Phoenix, when hiking/walking trails in Gold Canyon, Kings Ranch, Silly Mountain, First Water, etc. are all within a few minutes' drive. Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Superior, Globe, Miami, Usery Mountain Park, Apache Trail, etc. are just a little further. Discover the wild horses at the Salt River or tour the nearby country roads and come across the resident desert tortoise; truly magical memories! Walk to the nearby, local Library & Multi Generational Centre. Groceries and gas are just a short drive away. Drink in the fabulous views of the Superstition Mountains, while enjoying morning coffee or refreshment on your deck. Use of WI-FI and TV was problem-free. The Brita filter in the water pitcher worked great and meant 'no buying water'! There's no recycling at "Quail Creek" but Renee has come up with a solution for those interested in recycling. Just ask her. Having a covered, designated parking spot is a bonus. However, it might be a little 'tight' for a full-size truck. Best time for 'pool time' is early aft. Water wasn't heated until early November so 'refreshing' during the first couple of weeks of our stay. There's a Large Laundry room next door to the pool area so throw in a load while you lounge nearby! Take quarters as 4 are required for each load of washing or drying. Reasonable price! We hated for our holiday to end but want to thank Renee for providing such a great, reasonably priced venue for visitors wanting to experience the Superstitions and escape the rain and/or snow elsewhere!

Nice Condo

The condo was nice and everything was in order when I arrived. The view of the mountains was great. Especially at sunset. It is in a quiet area and the neighbors were nice. The deposit was returned in a very timely fashion.

Great View

  • 5 of 5

Just completed our third stay at Renee’s condo. This is a well set up condo with everything that you may need. There are many hiking trails and nature walks close by yet still close to shopping if you so desire. This unit has a dedicated parking spot which is great as most of the close visitor parking usually taken by residents. Internet and TV channels work excellent. Pool area is large with not too many people that use it. Renee is very friendly, accommodating and easy to get a hold of if you have any problems. The condo has a million dollar view of the Superstition Mountains and the sunsets are excellent. You won’t be disappointed.
