What makes this cabin unique

This property is very unique and offers privacy and great outdoor spaces. It is located close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Waynesville, and Asheville. There are many hiking trails, rivers, creeks, waterfalls, golf courses, shops, and restaurants.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was a great stay. The cottage is well done and we love the setting. You might want to tell first timers to turn across from the fire station as the street sign is missing. We could have used a toaster but otherwise everything was well equipped and in working order.

[We now have a toaster!]

Nice rustic cottage but with everything we needed. Enjoyed the fireplace out back.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was nice with everything we needed. Unfortunately it rained a lot while we were here so we didn't do all we wanted. We all enjoyed sitting out by the fireplace in the evening. The cottage was farther out than I expected but close to some nice hiking trails.

Property was gorgeous! The photos don't do it justice!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. I packed extras kitchen and laundry supplies but didn't need a thing. The living area was spacious though the bedrooms were tiny. Not a problem for us because we didn't spend much time indoors. Between the wide front porch, the covered picnic area with fireplace and rockers, and the outdoor fire pit, we had everything we wanted no matter the weather. There was plenty of firewoood, though you do need to bring charcoal if you're going to grill. For us our stay had all the benefits of camping without having to sleep in tents. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This cabin was more than I expected. My husband and sons immediately went to the backyard. Within 15 minutes, my husband had a fire going on in the outside covered fireplace (picnic area), and my 2 boys were fishing in the pond. We almost didn't want to leave and go exploring, but that was part of the vacation. The house is very well kept and has everything that you need. The pictures doesn't do this place justice. The hardwood floors are beautiful! You will have chickens and rooster in the front yard. I enjoyed looking at the full moon above the mountain between the pine trees. This was the most adventuresome trip we have ever taken. You must go out and explore and see the waterfalls, the Biltmore, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Cataloochie, and Maggie Valley, and of course, go fishing and tubing! We loved this place!

Quiet and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Just as advertised. Would stay here again. Welcomed to the home by the neighboring rooster and his bevy of hens; he was quite considerate and did not crow before 730 each morning. DO NOT try to use your GPS to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway; turning right out of the driveway eventually dead ends.
