Large 3 bedroom comfortable home 2 blocks from center of town and Taos plaza. Two full bathrooms. One with master bedroom, the other in hall for other bedrooms. Nice wood floors. Fireplace w/wood provided. Nicely refurbished kitchen that works well as central gathering spot with butcherblock peninsula counter with stools, brand new stove and granite countertops. Pleasant patio with swing love seat for BBQ's and lounging. Multiple entries and ample parking for multiple vehicles and RV's, boats etc. and covered car port.
Newly remodeled kitchen, back patio and large utility room for skis, equipment etc. Situated directly accross the street from, and with delightful views of lovely Kit Carson State Park. Great play park for kids with all of the playground equipment as well as track and baseball diamond. This property includes a second small 'Casita' cottage (VRBO listing #272424) which is available at special combo rates with this main house.

About the owner: This property was inherited last year and I am managing it on behalf of myself and my brothers. I live in Berkeley California and own and operate a restaurant there. I visit Taos frequently.
Why the Owner Chose Taos, NM, USA:
This is an inherited home. Our Grandparents, Murl and Lucy Packard built the home in the late 1940's. They owned and operated the Plaza Supermarket, the main grocery store in Taos from the early 1940's to the 1970's. Grandpa served on the Taos City Council and was instrumental in the construction of the Gorge Bridge over the Rio Grande. Our Mother, Rosemarie Packard was president of the Taos Chamber of comnmerce during the 1990's and cared for her parents here untill their passing. Rosemarie passed away in 2008. This house was a special place for all of us, filled with laughter and family gatherings. We hope your stay here fills you with the same good feelings.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Taos is fantastic any time of year but especially for its world famous skiing and summer rafting on the Rio Grande. Many cultural activities and an amazing array of neat shops and fine restaurants for a small town. Of course Taos pueblo is a must see. The location of this property is prime. Easy strolling to downtown plaza and all of the shops, taverns and restaurants as well as the local Farmers Market around the corner. Slightly north of the plaza in the more upscale part of town, it provides easy access without the center town traffic jams to north side attractions like the pueblo, ski valley and Rio Grande gorge recreation areas. People who've visited always comment on the peaceful spirit of the house, very clean and tidy. Nice patio for BBQ's and large rear entrance laundry/utility room perfect for staging recreation items like skis and boots and fishing gear. As this home is inherited and paid for, overhead is low and we just want people to enjoy themselves and allow us to maintain it for multiple uses of family and friends. So for the consumer it's a great bargain for a great location! Need extra accomodations? Rent the adjoining Cottage/Casita (vrbo #272424) and this house together for only $200 per night!
