We live a life balanced between work, adventure, and relaxation. We love our home not only for the panoramic view but also for the fun that the nearby ocean and mountains provide.
This property was right for us because of the nearby activities, yet the property itself acts as our quiet retreat. We also appreciate the Christian atmosphere in Laie with its family-friendly lifestyle. Our days may be filled with kite surfing, kayaking and golfing, but in the evenings we sit on the deck enjoying nature's beauty in the miles of coastline, ocean, mountains and passing clouds. In winter the humpback whales occasionally pass by while we eat lunch out on the deck.
This was a fantastic place to stay. We loved sitting on the deck
watching the ocean and watching the whales. The Polynesian Cultural
Center is so close and convenient. We went there for a laua and tour. We
also went to the Dole Plantation. The flowers and birds are so
beautiful. We had 13 people in our party, so the house was a wonderful
accomodation. It had plenty of room for everyone to sit on the deck,
watch tv, play games, play on the beach, etc. Some of the people also
went snorkeling right down from the house. We could sit on the deck and
watch. I would highly recommend this. It was clean, roomy and very
enjoyable. We wish we didn't have to come back so soon(especially to the
snow.)
We had a very nice stay overall. The owner's relatives/property managers next door were very nice and helpful. Honolulu being an hour away required some planning but we had a nice balance of doing activities and hanging out and relaxing.
Very nice house in a great location. Lots of room. We had up to 25 people some nights. Property management personnel was very helpful. Great vacation. Thanks Patti!
Staying at this home, in Laie one of the most beautiful places on earth, was more than any of us Canadians could've ever expected. Being able to accommodate a group of 12 adults is not easy, especially when many of them are single men. The amount of room, and rooms, was perfect and made everyone feel like they had their own private space. Thankfully, there were also more than enough bathrooms and showers for the group. The kitchen had everything we needed for indoor or outdoor cooking which made us feel like a big Italian family the whole way through. The backyard, what can I say, THAT VIEW. This has to be single best reason to stay at this location. Your view of Hawaii is second to none. The fact that you can sit in a hot tub and watch waves hit the shore ... breathtaking. This home, was clean, well maintained, has one of the best hosts I have ever encountered during my years of renting. I would recommend this to my closest family and friends, and you can bet I will go back myself. Thank you Patti and family for all of your kindness and support during our trip. Team Canada FPV thanks you.
The Vista Grande is a beautiful house for a large group - lots of beds for everyone - and nice outdoor space for dinners and the like. We really enjoyed this part of the island, and it's convenient to grocery stores, pharmacies, and great beaches. Watching the sunrise and sunset at Laie Point (as well as doing some cliff jumping!) was amazing...
We have stayed at this beautiful home a few years now, bringing a group of executives to teach the students of BYU Hawaii for a week. This home is spacious, quiet, serene, PERFECT. Each faculty couple has their private space, but we are all able to meet together in the living room or out on the deck overlooking the breathtaking La'ie Point. Patti is absolutely wonderful to work with, WE LOVE THIS HOME and will continue coming back each year!
We were able to stay at this home at Laie Point with our family. It was very comfortable, plenty of room for our 30 family members to get together and for 20 family members to stay. It has a great view of the ocean and is a great place to stay. The property owners were very good to work with, and we enjoyed the Orr family.
