About Don Geiser
Our family has skied Vail since 1969. We have owned homes less than 2 miles from the ski slopes and enjoyed them, however the hassle of going to and from the slopes for skiing and to enjoy the restaurants, finally gave way to our purchasing a condo in the heart of Vail village. We wanted to arrive at our condo, park the car, and from then on walk to everything. Additionally it gave all the family members their own choice to come and go as they please. After many years of commuting from our house in the Vail Valley we discovered that being in the village is the only way to go if you truly want to partake of all that Vail has to offer.
Don Geiser purchased this Condo in 2016
Why Don Geiser chose Vail Village
Location! Location! Location! In the heart of Vail village, walk to everything. Close to everything, yet the location is very quite.
What makes this Condo unique
Arrive at the condo, park your auto in the condo parking lot, you won't be needing it anymore while your in Vail. Awake 1 hour before the lifts open, have breakfast, then walk across the street to the Gold Peak lift. We think its the fastest way to the back bowls on those great powder days. Come back to the condo for lunch it you want. At the end of the ski day, clean up at the condo, then head to apre ski (1 block walk) Walk to your favorite restaurants and entertainment. If you want to catch the free Vail shuttle to Lions Head, a bus stop is just across the street. Quiet peaceful environment, jet just minutes to all the activities that Vail has to offer. Totally renovated in 2017.

This is a great condo. Stayed here for a week and had a great time. Close to lift and 5 min walk into hear of Vail. King beds in both rooms, lovely fireplace and great kitchen with everything you need. Stay here!
great location, helpful host, a bit dark
We love staying at the base of Gold Peak. Close to the Village, but just a bit out of the fray. Plenty of parking at this place, a rare treat. Owner was very responsive. I only wish the listing had said that this rental is a basement unit. It has a large window in each room so you don't feel trapped, but they face north and are at ground level so you're eye-level with the snowbank. That said, once we got over our surprise, we really enjoyed the unit. Well-supplied, and most importantly, very comfortable beds, including the murphy bed in the living room. I'd give it 3.5 stars, if that was an option.
In Colorado this is know as a garden level condominium, not basement.
The condo has large windows that are above ground. Snow build up through out the season can make the condo a bit dark.
Additionally, condos not as close to the slopes and village rent for 2X more than our posted prices. This condo is an exceptional value for its location in the heart of Vail Village. See the other reviews.
Everything we needed
This one bedroom condo was perfect for our family ski trip. Excellent access to golden peak for first chair up. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and blankets. Parking spot was a bonus.
The owner's description says it all, the condo was perfectly situation to the lifts and Vail Village. It was so much more comfortable than a hotel room with much more space and a well equipped kitchen. We also appreciated the tv with dvd library in the living room and the wall mounted tv in the bedroom after a long and tiring day on the slopes.
It is also a fantastic deal. It is big $$$ to be that close to the slopes in Vail. Due to a snowstorm in our home state causing flight cancellations we had to extend our stay and checked into a similarly situated hotel in the village and it was much more expensive, smaller and didn't come with parking. We far preferred the stay at the condo.
All Seasons -Golden Peak
Awesome place - Great owner - Walking to Golden Peak!
Great location, very good accomodations
Excellent location. Easy walk to Golden Peak Riva Bahn Express lift (even with ski boots on) or to Vail Village (with street shoes to Gondola for skiing or for shopping, dining...). Very nice accomdations. Nice layout, well appointed, and very convenient. The owner had all of the details well covered for parking, ski storage, Wi-Fi, etc. Would definitely stay again.
Located across the street from the Gold Peak (chair 6) and childrens ski center. Free on site parking
