About the property

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Riverside Princess is in one of the historic subdivisions of Gatlinburg and adjoins the famous Trout Stream which meanders through the heart of Gatlinburg. Her deck overlooks the stream and is perfect for a romantic dinner serenaded by rushing water. The hot tub allows guests to enjoy the outdoors in cooler weather and in comfort and privacy. Both the bedroom and living room overlook the stream, with the rapids singing guests to sleep.

Recently acquired from a family whose ownership lasted several decades, Riverside Princess has been completely renovated, interior and exterior, including conversion from a two-bedroom layout to a large and romantic one bedroom layout to accommodate its king-size bed and over sized bathroom featuring custom inlaid slate shower and sauna. The kitchen is likewise newly remodeled and stocked with new appliances. The entire interior is finished in tongue and groove with hardwood floors, sparing no expense.

Accented with eighteenth century antiques, together with other high quality furniture, 42-inch plasma television, Riverside Princess offers the very best of comfort, amenities and atmosphere. A well-stocked DVD collection is included to keep younger souls occupied when not enjoying the river. We can assist with trout stamp/license information, and the river is stocked with trout weekly most of the year so even a novice fisherman is assured of an enjoyable catch.

As one of only a dozen or so cabins still available on the river and in downtown Gatlinburg, Riverside Princess is sure to become your favorite hideaway in the Smokies.

River Love

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is just the right size for two people. You can hear and see the River from the windows of the cabin. Very nice setting and close to attractions.

Not a dog friendly cabin but nice for people

  • 4 of 5

Nice little cabin sitting across the road from a stream. The stream provides a nice sound when you are outdoors. The cabin itself was small but cute. But dog owners beware, while this cabin accepts dogs, there is NO grassy area for potty time. We walked all the way to the Quality Inn at the end of the street without finding one area of grass that our country pup could use. We would not permit her to go into the yards of other cabins - this is just not right - and was looking for a 'public' grassy area, along a road, between streets, on a street corner etc. but none were found. The cabin sits built into a hillside and there is no grass in the small space between the edge of the house and the street. I would use this agency's cabins again but not without seriously checking out the facilities for our dog.(we drove her to the off-leash dog park in Seiverville 3 times per day - yes she is spoiled!)

The king bed was comfy. However, electrical outlets near the bed consisted of only one (until we tore the room apart looking for more). We both use CPAP machines so we needed an outlet on each side of the bed. After moving the bed we found one additional out let that would work for the opposite side of the bed from the only outlet we had found. So if you need multiple electronics near your bed, move the bed to find the hidden outlet that gives you access to the side of the bed nearest the closet.

The bathroom and kitchen were clean, the linens were fresh and soft. The was dust on the wooden furniture surfaces though which I had not expected. Some of the window blinds did not work properly. Had an issue with the door in that when you were inside you had to have the lock engaged in order to keep the door from swinging open on its own.

While none of these issues were serious enough to warrant contacting the agency, they were minor annoyances that should be noted.

Overall, we would stay in this cabin again WITHOUT our dog.

Overall cute. Kitchen very small if Uwant to cook anything.

  • 3 of 5

Master bedroom nice and spacious. Sauna seemed kindof a waste- tried it and it seemed to never really get hot would rather have been big closet. Right in river which was why I stayed there - but the blinds all the strings were broken on over half of them and cound not open blinds to see river. Could tilt but. Not raise. Annoying. Mirror in bathroom oval shape but stayed in downward tilt - looking at feet would not stay at face. Fireplace had no grate for logs ! Had to put logs onto floor of fireplace didn’t work out too well - no dishwasher non disposal . We tris to cook a Little was hard in small kitchen hand washing plates and forks. Location good for access to park and downtown. River was nice !

It was beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

We went for our honeymoon and the cabin was beautiful, walking distance to the trolley. Right off the main drag. The only thing I would change is the area around the hot tub, make it more private, the cabin next to us was way to close and there should be a cover over the hot tub. Leaves and branches from trees kept falling into the hot tub. But besides that it was great. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Cozy space with everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

Our usual cabin was booked for the time we wanted to visit and we ended up finding this gem. The cabin was clean and while it was small, it had everything we needed. We loved that they accepted our little doxie too. We weren't sure at first about the apartments next door as they looked a bit sketchy, but it wasn't a problem at all. Highly recommend!
