Overview

About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Skipping Stone is nestled on 3 acres, directly on the Little Pigeon River, Gatlinburg's preeminent trout stream, with hundreds of feet of river frontage.

Aside from its 'right smack there on the river' location, this luxurious lodge is the absolute, bar none, best of accommodations with over 4,200 square feet, 10' ceilings, massive bedrooms (4 identical master suites with king-size beds) and spacious decks overlooking the river.

Luxuries and amenities of Skipping Stone include HDTV, extensive DVD collection, Playstation 2 and Wii on request, excellent kitchenware and dinnerware, stainless steel appliances, Direct TV with tons of premium movie channels, handmade furniture, fine fabrics, leathers and linens. Each bedroom features its own HDTV and spacious, well-appointed bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Hardwood floors and the stacked stone fireplace create a cozy mountain atmosphere. The game room is fully equipped to occupy any guest of any age.

Designer-furnished with the very best, this cabin will spoil you either indoors or out.

Aside from the house, the river is the real highlight here. Simply put, the setting is stunning with unobstructed upstream and downstream views except for one house across and a few hundred feet upstream. Looking back from the river, only one house is visible. Directly in front of the two floors of decks is a fabulous swimming hole and rapids. Inner tubes are furnished as well as fishing equipment ( you will need a license and we can furnish all necessary information). The gorgeous view, sounds of the rushing river and gentle breezes make dinner on the deck an unforgettable experience. Likewise, lounging in the hot tub just twenty feet from the river is a special treat.

This million-dollar-plus lodge was completed in 2006 with no detail overlooked.

Treat yourself to something truly special, the very best of settings and accommodations...

a home you will definitely want to return to again and again.

Beautiful luxury cabin near Gatlinburg.

  • 4 of 5

Gorgeous property. Tons of space in home with swim spa, fishing equipment, hot tub, pool table, games, and video games. Amazing third floor with kids tunnels and sleep areas. My kids (ages 3 to 7) loved it. Kitchen is well equipped. Only complaint is that the Ms. PacMan and pinball machine pictured are no longer there, but there is now a ping pong table and a skeeball. Only 10 minute drive into Gatlinburg and 30 minutes into Pigeon Forge.

Great Family Vacation Cabin

  • 4 of 5

Located less than 15 minutes from Gatlinburg, but in a secluded and serene setting on the river. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a storm. That included steaks on the gas grill, smores in the outdoor fireplace and hearty breakfasts in the kitchen. The kids (ages 1 -5) LOVED crawling though the tunnels, and 2 of them slept in the cubbies.

We thought of this cabin as "weather insurance" since there is so much to do if your regular plans get rained out: movies on the giant screen, pool table, card table, Ms. Pac Man (let it warm up, it works), air hockey, video games and of course the swim spa. The skee-ball is missing the electronics and the pinball costs 50 cents/play.

Come on down and enjoy the peaceful sound of the river and all the Smokies have to offer. Would definitely stay here again.
