Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Ron & Judy,

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to be in this magnificient house of yours! I loved the s;pectacular view! My favorite activities were ping-pong, pool, and fishing. It was so convenient to fish. That is why we did it almost every day. We also went to Crater Lake! Thanks so much.

Fun had by all

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time there. We really enjoyed the games. The pool table and the ping pong table were in constant use, but the real surprise was the tetherball. That certainly brought us back to our youth. Tournaments abound and winners and losers all had a good time.

Owner's Response: We are delighted to hear about the tether ball fun. The set was installed a few weeks ago. It is a good quality set for all ages. We are also going to install a zip line as well as planning a disk golf course. Thanks for your comments. Ron Wallace LVR

Deluxe retreat

  • 5 of 5

This "cabin" is actually more like a home that has every amenity (except for a pie plate!) that you could want for a stay with family or friends. The home is well-lit and has amazing views through the large windows throughout the home. The gas fireplace warms the living room well and the sauna is a treat (just make sure you preheat it an hour or more before you intend to use it, otherwise you will be sitting for awhile in a cold room...rookie move on my part). We have two small children (one 9, one 16 months) and they both enjoyed our stay as well. My only gripe was with all of the kitchen accoutrements (there was everything) I couldn't find a pie plate! But I survived without my coconut cream pie and consoled myself by sitting in the sauna and sweating. Ahhh...so relaxing I wish I was there now.

Perfect get away

  • 5 of 5

We had three generations enjoying this beautiful home. There was plenty of room to spread out, yet enough space to get together for meals and family times. We wanted this house due to the proximity to Lake of the Woods. We got a slip at the lake, so we didn't have to take the boat in and out. Everything was just perfect.

Lovely weekend getaway

  • 4 of 5

Friends weekend away. All adults, loved the peace and quiet until the neighbors had a big party, then we loved that too! The house was good. I was surprised that it did not have basics like coffee, cooking oil, spices and basic condiments, not a deal breaker, but would have been good to know. The master bedroom gets the early morning sun, which I love, but if you want to sleep in, I would choose another room. The deck railing is loose, so be careful out there. All in all very enjoyable weekend. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for reviewing your stay at our home. A concern was expressed about basic condiments etc. We try to make known in our website information and in details we send to guests that we do not supply the items mentioned. There are simply too many choices of condiments, coffee, and other items to provide supply for our guests. Be sure to bring your such items when you stay. The master bedroom has upper and lower windows. We have window coverings on the lower set of windows but not on the large upper trapezoids. Concerning deck railing: Winter was destructive for us this year. So far we have replaced some railing and repaired a broken deck. Unfortunately we could not get all the work done by our summer season. Plans are in the works to finish repairing the damage in October. Thanks again for commenting. We sincerely appreciate guest input as we work to exceed expectations of those who stay at our home. Ron Wallace LVR

well stocked, comfortable lovely vacation rental

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here! The rental was well equipped and comfortable. We loved the waffle maker and all the other accommodations. The views and property were just lovely. We had a wonderful time at crater lake and in Ashland, as well as at lake of the woods. If I had to be crazy critical, I would say that the rental was a bit dusty and not quite as clean as I would expect given the cleaning fee we paid, but again that is only if I wanted to be uber critical. Such a wonderful property! We hope to return soon!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review of our property. The comment about the presence of dust is appreciated. Country living is certainly a bit more dusty. We will refresh our cleaning methods accordingly. Our goal is that your stay exceeds your expectations. Ron Wallace
