About Tom and Patsy Condon

Welcome to our home. We have spent many happy vacations here in Pocasset. My husband and I bought this beach house in 2002 and have done many upgrades to make this a comfortable summer home for ourselves and our four children (all adults now).

Tom and Patsy Condon purchased this house in 2002

Why Tom and Patsy Condon chose Pocasset

This is a wonderful area of the cape. It is an hour to Boston and just over the bridge in the town of Bourne. There are several villages of Bourne and Pocasset is one of them. You can walk or bicycle the canal, or Wings Neck to the Lighthouse. There is little traffic in Pocasset which truly makes it a special place on the Cape. The house is decorated nicely with all comfortable furnishings and comfortable mattresses. It is one of the cleanest homes you will ever rent! Bicycles, kayaks, sand chairs are all available for your use. Fresh, clean linens and towels are also included with this rental.

Impeccable Cape Cod Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

I had the pleasure of staying here last summer with friends and family. The home is extremely spacious throughout-- accommodating to all twelve guests (including driveway parking!) The 'less than two minute' walk down to the ocean is an absolute luxury-- not to mention super convenient . Quiet road with friendly neighbors makes for peaceful mornings and evenings. Surrounding road(s) are great for walking/running or biking to enjoy the beautiful surrounding views. The kitchen included everything we needed to prepare our meals (we love to cook-- MAJOR plus!!) The backyard includes a nice deck to relax on, an outdoor shower and a shed full of useful activities (beach chairs, bikes, kayaks, etc..) The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again and again.

We loved this home. So close to the beach, and two terrific restaurants(Lobster Trap and Chart Room). There is another nice community beach less then a mile away.The road was great for the kids to bike. Grocery store and liquor store also convenient. Got to meet the owner. Lovely lady that was most helpful. Will go back again.

A wonderful place to stay to enjoy the Cape!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in this wonderful Pocasset beach house. The location is wonderful - on a private road only 4 houses from the private beach and dock. The house is really clean - which is a major plus for me! We only used the air conditioning once - the ceiling and window fans kept things cool even on warmer days. I was concerned at first about the size of the living room area, but even with 8 people riding out (Tropical Storm) Arthur all day it didn't feel crowded at all. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms quite roomy, the beds very comfortable.

We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and the bikes. Both the Cape Cod Canal and the Shining Sea bike trails offer great biking experiences. We tried minigolf in Sandwich and Cataumet, visited the Heritage Museum in Sandwich (not to be missed), the aquarium in Woods Hole, and ate lots of fresh seafood! Watching the sunsets over the bay from the dock down the street added to the experience. A perfect house to enjoy a true Cape Cod vacation! Patsy was very helpful and answered any questions we had. She even left a wine basket and fresh flowers! We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet stay in the upper Cape.

Car: necessary

Running/Walking Routes

Wing’s Neck - good biking and running route

Cape Cod Canal - nice bike path, running/walking path (follow Shore Road back toward the bridge …and then left on Belle Avenue…go to end and park car….nice walk/run/biking along the canal.

Restaurants – The Lobster Trap – located on Shore Road in Bourne (wonderful seafood, not fancy);

Chart Room - located off Shore Road heading toward Falmouth at Red Brook Harbor (delicious food and located right on the water…very nice); Silver Lounge Restaurant and Pub – located on Rt. 28A heading toward Falmouth;

Corner Cafe, and Graziella Sub Shop – located at the intersection of Barlow’s Landing Road and Shore Road; The Flying Bridge Restaurant – Falmouth Marina ….very nice

Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard – Take either the Steamship Ferry (Falmouth….Follow Rt. 28 South and you’ll see signs directing you where to go….you can take your car on this ferry) or take the Island Queen Ferry ….this is a bit faster, however, no cars.
