We live in Seattle and love getting away to spend a weekend in Glacier whenever we can. Its an amazing area with great restaurants, hiking, and skiing/snowboarding nearby and the lush surroundings make it truly unique. We hope you enjoy your stay and let us know if you have any questions at all about the property!
Ashley purchased this House in 2015
Why Ashley chose Glacier Springs
We recently purchased this home from the original owners who built it themselves in 2009. We're excited to share our lovely home away from home so others can enjoy this beautiful house in such incredible surroundings. This area is phenomenal in the summer, too, with endless trails for mountain biking and hiking, the Nooksack river within earshot and a small creek within walking distance through the Glacier Springs community. Keep an eye out for fossils along the trails near the creek! But it's really hard to resist the winter thrill of charging the slopes of Mt. Baker!

Wonderful family getaway
We had a lovely stay, we really appreciated the nice little touches like a bottle of wine, and night lights in the bathrooms and bedrooms, and we were just generally were really happy with how well-appointed and well-cared-for the house is. The owners have really thought of everything! An earlier review had stated that they didn't have a few things like salt & pepper, but we found those items were stocked along with olive oil. Also with two young kids we found it super helpful that the owners have supplied a portable crib, little high chair seat, a few books and games, and some kids' dishes.
Nice family vacation!
Ashley’s place is perfect for families. Well appointed kitchen for cooking meals. Very comfortable beds. We would book again!
Nice hide-a-way cabin
Modern, clean cabin with lots of natural lighting. No cell phone coverage (Verizon)- which was a plus to escape the usual texting distractions- but, good internet connectivity. Nice extras were a pleasant bonus, like: propane stove for both ambiance and warmth, radiant heat tiled bathroom floors, lots of kitchen utensils- especially sharp knives. Good location to restaurants and Mt. Baker ski area. Only 30 miles from Bellingham. A great get-away cabin!
Beautiful house, great location!
Our group was three adult couples with no kids and we stayed here over the New years eve weekend for two nights.
The trip started out rough as an ice storm had caused a power outage and we had no power or hot water for the entire first night of our stay. There were a few good flashlights and some fake (electric) candles that we distributed around the house and the propane fireplace kept us reasonably warm and we were able to cook on the outdoor propane BBQ. The owners were kind enough to provide us with a partial refund for the first night due to the inconvenience. The power came on the following morning and we had no troubles the rest of the stay.
There was a great selection of board games in the house, as well as some books and movies.
The location was good; about as close as you can stay to Mt Baker without camping out in the actual parking lot.
The kitchen had most of the essentials we needed, but it was missing a few very simple things that some other places have (Salt and Pepper for example) so if you come to stay here make sure you bring absolutely every ingredient you need to cook with. Especially since the place is very remote and there is not much nearby if you need groceries.
Overall the house was beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable, the master bathroom was glorious and luxurious (hot water ran out quickly though with 6 people showering back to back to back after the mountain). I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a weekend away with activities at Mt Baker, in winter or summer.
p.s. Install an outdoor hot tub to make this place perfect :)
Our family had an amazing time here over Christmas. The house was warm and inviting, well laid out and perfect for the 4 of us. We would not hesitate to book again in the future.
We loved our stay and the house is amazing. My wife enjoyed cooking in the kitchen since it had a gas stove like our house.
