Cross the causeway, take a deep breath and sigh! Island life beckons. Sandy beaches, world renown shelling and plenty of recreation can be yours in our beachfront condominium. This two bedroom, two bath condo with queen sleeper in the living room sleeps up to six and features a screened balcony with gulf views off the master bedroom and living room. The unit is fully furnished and offers immediate access to miles of beaches, hiking and biking trails and Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge. For golf,tennis,fishing or shopping enthusiasts there is plenty of action as well.

Located on the first living level of a low density condominium development (3 buildings, 30 units total), our unit offers a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico. Tarpon Beach is a stilted complex with parking underneath each building as well as elevators.

As a convenience to our guests we also offer access to our lower level storage area where we provide 2 adult bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrella. For those needing to stay connected to life back home we offer WiFi internet access free of charge.

Sanibel and Tarpon Beach is our 'home away from home'. A little bit of paradise, we'd like to share with you.

About Ed & Lisa

We are from Wisconsin and started visiting Sanibel Island in 1996. Twelve years later we decided to buy a piece of paradise on Sanibel Island! We hope you decide to enjoy it too while staying at our condo.

Why Ed & Lisa chose Sanibel

Tarpon Beach Condominiums is a small property with 30 units total spread out over 3 buildings. We looked at other properties along the beach but were attracted to Tarpon Beach because of it's direct access to miles of beach. Be sure to ask how many units are on a property before renting!

What makes this condo unique

We are in Building #3 which has a direct view to the Gulf. Our pool area almost always has open lounges and often is empty with everyone down at the beach. Parking is always available and restaurants and shopping are a short walk or bike ride away.

Quite honestly, this was the best vacation we’ve ever had as a family! Staying at this Tarpon Beach condo was relaxing, serene, comfortable, accommodating and perfect. We were looking for a vacation that would allow us the opportunity to completely disconnect from our work and focus on our family, and this condo allowed us to do just that. Shelves of books, the screened in patio, and a 50 yard walk over the boardwalk to the beach meant we could spend an entire day collecting shells and enjoying the sea breeze. The condo is totally equipped with wifi, TVs, DVD players. Even though we did not use the televisions, we most certainly took advantage of all of the books, games and beach equipment provided. My husband took the bike out for a few rides while the kids and I took naps. Seriously, the most relaxing vacation I could have ever imagined. At night, there are no lights allowed on the beach from May through November because sea turtles come and dig their nests and lay their eggs. The island does a tremendous job of ensuring the wildlife is protected and so they mark each nest so it is not disturbed. It was wonderful to be on an island where a sea turtle that was born there years ago has now come back to the same island to lay its eggs! The abundance of restaurants, cafe’s, shops, and rainy day activities such as the shell museum and nature preserve were just as captivating. Speaking of captivating, Sanibel’s neighboring Island of Captiva is just over a short bridge and offers fun experiences such as the Bubble room and beautiful beaches where we watched the sunset. The owners of the condo are fantastic! They went above and beyond to ensure we had a terrific stay.

Smaller complex allows for less crowd

Ed and Lisa have thought of everything. This was our sixth year in a row but our first in this condo but we will definitely be back. The bikes and all the beach equipment were in great shape. The condo was well stocked. Perfect family vacation. Thanks for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Average Rental

If a bit of work was done to this property it would merit more than two stars. The master bedroom has an extremely hard bed--so hard that I slept in the guest bedroom. The carpets in both bedrooms are worn. There is a strip of metal across the lanai door entryway that is very easy to trip over. I could smell stale cigarette smoke. There did not appear to be visitor parking. Bathroom mirrors were beginning to turn black on the edges. The lanai floor was uneven, which resulted in puddles forming after a good rain. The master bedroom furnishings seemed dated and had an "up North" feel instead of a Florida/tropical flair. On a positive note, it was very quiet despite being next door to a public access beach.

As our repeat guests know, we make every effort to provide a comfortable, clean & inviting environment for those who share our space and we certainly regret your disappointment. We would like to share that in addition to replacing both the living room & guest room furniture (November 2017), we regularly replace the mattresses including the master bedroom (December, 2017) to help ensure the comfort & positive experience for our many guests. We have reached out to our rental partner, Sanibel Holiday and asked them to check the lanai drainage holes as well as determine if there is additional cleaning required due to rogue smoking (all units are non-smoking). Great place and great location!

Everything was perfect with the place. Location was great and the bikes were a nice bonus. Can’t control the weather, but I’ll happily take cool and sunny over rain anytime.

Great place for family vacation!

We had an excellent vacation. Condo was exactly as described and couldn't have been any better. Quick, easy access to the beach and bike paths. Lots of wildlife EVERYWHERE! Can't wait to come back.

Everything you need & modern, updated unit

This is our second year staying at Ed & Lisa's condo. The unit is updated and well maintained. One of the bonuses is the well stocked beach closet that has beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys and floats. The unit also has wifi and TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. We love the location, too. Close to Jerry's a great restaurants and the shelling on the beach can't be beat!
