Beautiful new home built with an attention to detail. The master bedroom (with king size bed) with en suite bath and living area are all on the main floor wrapped around a bright patio/courtyard. The second floor has another en suite bedroom (with queen size bed) and den with office area. There is a sunny patio off the den. The third floor is a roof top terrace with a wet bar and dining table and boasts magnificent views.

Casa Esteban is situated on a quiet bougainvillea lined street that is only minutes from the Jardin, the center of San Miguel. The home is off the street so is quiet and peacefully situated.

The home captures the culture and ambiance of San Miguel with all the modern conveniences to make your stay a pleasurable and memorable experience.

Our hope is that you'll love our home as much as we do and think of it as your home in San Miguel.

We have recently installed solar hot water and electricity making your stay us very green indeed.

This is the home I plan to spend more and more time in as I approach retirement. The home is modern yet traditional, in a wonderful neighborhood convenient to virtually everything in town. I love the area and the short level walk to the Centro.

Wonderful House!

We loved this well-cared for home. The lay-out of the house is ideal for two people, or two couples, because it allows for each to have privacy. It's a beautiful home, attractively decorated, fully equipped (even though we didn't cook any meals, the kitchen had all the best cookware, dishes, and tools), and convenient to everything. We especially enjoyed cool mornings in front of the fire; and the rooftop deck, and other outside spaces, for cocktails in the evening and relaxing any time of day. The reason for just 4 stars is because dogs barking all night and roosters crowing early in the morning made it difficult to sleep in the upstairs bedroom, even with earplugs. We were also in San Miguel over New Years---a time when the city was particularly crowded and loud fireworks New Years Eve went off for many hours past midnight. After the crowds left the city, we enjoyed our time there more.

Owner's Response: So glad that you enjoyed your stay in our home with our newly renovated kitchen. I am sorry that you were bothered by dogs barking and roosters crowing but unfortunately we have no control over what happens in the rest of Mexico outside of our home. This is the first time that anyone has mentioned this as a problem.

Spacious, beautiful, well cared for

This is our third time here and as ever it was wonderful. You enter into the full beauty as you enter the front entry, beautiful walkway full of greenery. The house itself is well designed and comfortably furnished. The bed is excellent and Loupe, the housekeeper keeps everything clean and welcoming. The location is excellent, slightly, out of the centre but a short and easy walk in. The upper deck has a terrific view and the furnishings are comfortable for reading and watching the many birds in the surrounding trees.

There are many wonderful restaurants within a 20 minute walk. Check out the blog Donday in SMA as an excellent resource. Also music and dinner at Mi Casa. So many things to do!

Wonderful Casa!

Casa Estaban and the neighbourhood were a great find. The casa is very well appointed, comfortable and a quiet oases in a great neighbourhood. Bonus was the excellent book collection (which we've added to). Most definitely recommended!.

Perfect home away from home

Beautiful home. Tastefully decorated. Thoughtfully equipped with everything you need. Beds are comfy with high thread count sheets. You are welcomed by the house manager, Norma, who is truly a gem! The Casa is kept spotless by Lupé, another excellent asset to Casa Esteban. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (Bring coffee with you, if you need a cup or two in the morning!)

Quiet & comfortable

Casa Esteban is located in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood. It was perfect for two couples as the bedroom areas are well separated. The kitchen has every possible tool and appliance. We cooked only breakfast during our two weeks. The restaurants are so good and reasonably priced that we wanted to experience as many as possible. The sofas were wonderful for morning coffee in front of the fire. January mornings were chilly so the gas fireplace was much appreciated. The terrace is great for reading, napping, or playing cards. Manager and housekeeper were responsive to our requests. Suggest you request phone number of manager in case there a mix-up about arrival time. Bajiogo shuttle was prompt and pleasant. It's a good way to share it formation with other visitors.

Three weeks of delicious comfort

Even before you reach the house, from a block away, we felt like we we entering an enclave of bogenvilla draped town homes. Upon entering the secured house walkway garden, there is no denying that a sense of peace permeates going home to Casa Esteban.

We found the house decorated to our pleasure. Its gardens were beautifully landscaped, and don't forget to spend time on the furnished outdoor rooftop living and dining area.

Thanks to a well stocked kitchen and all of the above this was a perfect three week stay.
