Golf: Shoregate. at Rt 9 and Sea Isle Causeway--very nice course. Sand Barrens---several to chose from--but you better like sand. Twisted Dunes 20 mi north basic clubhouse but great links style course.

Why Jim Adams chose Townsend's Inlet
About thirty years ago, we rented a BayFront townhouse to spend the summer at the shore with our kids, then 10 and 12. It was such a positive experience for the family that we decided to buy THAT townhouse. As the kids grew, their interests went from sailing and skiing to more 'beach time'. We then sold the townhouse and purchased the beachfront home. We chose the area because it was mostly owner occupied with property owners who took a great deal of pride and care of their homes and neighborhood. When the kids graduated college and moved away or got married, we used the home less and less. The area over the past 30 years, has not changed much - still mostly owner occupied and now grandchildren. Quiet ..only one bar...but a great one at this end of town.

Incredible view and location
We stayed here a week for our son's wedding in Sea Isle. Being there a week prior meant getting prepared for the wedding which in most cases would've been stressful but being right on the ocean and listening to the sounds of the water and birds made is so serene! Aside from the location, Jim was awesome to work with and the house was lovely with all the amenities you could possibly need. We particularly loved the way the main living was up on the third floor, so the view where you spent most of your time was incredible. We would definitely stay again, if in the area. Thank you Jim!!
Perfect girlfriends getaway!
Had a wonderful time at the beach this past weekend with my girlfriends. We were all impressed with how well stocked the house was with everything we needed. Every room was very neat and clean. The view was amazing!! We were in heaven eating breakfast and sipping coffee on the deck while we took in the view of the ocean! The house was perfect and the luxury of a beach front property is worth every penny! Highly recommend this place and I hope we will be back again next year!!
A beach rental can't get better than this
We stayed a week in April in this amazing beachfront home. We chose Sea Isle City from all the possible N.J. beach locations solely because of the views the pictures of this rental on its Homeaway site promised. And they did not promise too much! The views from the 2nd floor are the best you can get. Us being international off-season guests posed some challenges, but Jim was very accommodating and also answered our questions quickly. The house was clean and has everything you could ever need (and then some…). The porch is so wide we were able to spread our yoga mats there, offering perhaps the most serene place we’ve ever practiced yoga in. We also enjoyed watching ospreys hunt and dolphins feed. We loved the peace and quiet of the off-season, and we were able to run and walk along the beach sometimes for miles without seeing other people. There is a good-quality Acme supermarket close by which served us well, seeing as we like to cook ourselves.
With almost 15 years of experience of rentals all over the world, we can warmly recommend this place, and hope to return someday, so please take good care of it!

Our second year at Jim's house. Another amazing time. The weather was so warm we spent the whole time on the beautiful deck. Jim always gets right back to us if we have any questions. Love, love, love this home! Thanks Jim!
Wonderful with a few minor fixes
We loved our stay in Sea Isle. The house is beautiful and spacious enough for 10 people - we had a fantastic time, even in the off-season! Also, while the signage is plentiful, the check-list at the stairs before you go is extremely helpful in reminding you all things to remember before exiting. I have two minor but helpful pieces of feedback: the "no linens" policy took me a bit off-guard. This is not a standard practice with most VRBOs, and while I understand the reasoning for this with a beach-house, I felt this could have been called out much more prominently in the welcome letter or at the time of contracting. All worked out OK in the end, but the policy was in small font on the welcome packet so was easy to miss at first. Another inconvenience was the mailing to and from of the keys. Its slow, cumbersome and leaves you to worry that the keys won't make it back or you'll lose them! My advice is to ditch the keys and put key codes on the doors with a code you can change each time. Much safer and easier for guests! Thanks so much for everything - many of the girls with me were saying how badly they want to come back this summer. All in all, a success!
Beachfront: East toward Spain ;o) Looks North to Atlantic City(see Casino's on clear nigh), South to Townsends Inlet--about half mile--great for boat watchers. We overlook the beach, close enough for people-watching, but far enough away from the noise. Lifeguarded beach see details on Sea Isle link. We always take the kids to SplashZone Waterpark in Wildwood(20 miles), Cape May Cty Zoo(9Miles), Sea Isle limited promenade/boardwalk(2 mi). Breakfast on the waterfront at Sunset Pier(walk distance) or Avalon harbor (2mi)
Other Activities: boating, kayaking, parasailing, wildlife viewing, health/beauty spa,
Golf: Many good courses Shoregate is closest and almost the best. Best is Stone Harbor CLUB (if U can get on). Sand Barrons if you don't mind sand...ALL sand ;o)
