My husband Mike & I purchased our condo in February 2008. We have enjoyed putting our heart & soul into making this our 'home away from home' for not only ourselves, but for our guests as well. We feel very fortunate that within a short amount of time, many of our guests have now become our friends. We hope that you will enjoy your stay here & will come back year after year. We also encourage any comments and suggestions so that we have the opportunity to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

UPDATES FOR 2016--New carpet installed in living room and the 4 bedrooms. New sheers installed (no more verticals!!)

Please note that this is a non-smoking unit (including the outside balcony!)

The Windy Hill section of North Myrtle Beach is somewhat secluded and primarily residential.

Across the street from the condo building, we have an 8-story parking garage, which is connected to the resort by an air conditioned (or heated in the winter) glass breezeway at the 3rd floor level. Two of our three elevators are glass elevators opening to the outside, providing a beautiful view of the surrounding area of Windy Hill & over to Barefoot Landing.

The ground floor of the condo building is reserved for temporary parking for loading/unloading as well as Handicapped parking. You will also find a new, beautiful waterfall, newspaper and bicycle racks, and vending machines. The luggage carts & shopping carts are located here as well.

From our 12th floor condo, you can relax & soak up the sun on our large balcony, while enjoying the views of the glittering ocean below.

The balcony can be accessed from both the master bedroom and the living room. Beautiful beach views can be seen from the master bedroom, living room, dining area, kitchen, as well as the third bedroom.

LIVING ROOM--has a new sofa and over-stuffed loveseat! Relax in the comfy rocking chair while checking your email with our new hi-speed wireless internet or watching our flat-screen TV.....the Blu-Ray player sits next to it!

KITCHEN--it's fully equipped with plenty of pots, pans, & cooking utensils. I like to cook & so I have tried to equip this kitchen with the same necessities that I have at home. We have a blender that makes sensational margaritas!!

LAUNDRY "ROOM"--it's across from the kitchen behind 2 large doors and has a full-sized washer and dryer; also an iron and ironing board hanging up to the right of the washer. There are also extra batteries & light bulbs in the plastic bins on the shelf should the need arise!

PANTRY--To the right of the laundry "room" is another closet, which is the pantry. We leave this unlocked so that everyone can store their food during their vacation time so it doesn't clutter up the counter space.

MASTER BEDROOM--has a KING BED featuring a 'Park Place' memory foam mattress. There are two bedside stands and an armoire where the 32' flat screen TV & DVD player can be found. There is a walk-in closet with a full-sized mirror hanging on the inside of the door. The spacious master bath features a full soaking tub and a over-sized separate shower.

SECOND MASTER BEDROOM--has a KING bed with two night stands, a dresser, & flat-screen TV w/built-in DVD player. This bedroom also has its own private full bathroom.

THIRD BEDROOM--features a QUEEN bed, two night stands, & a dresser. This room also has a flatscreen TV with built-in DVD player. The large window allows for beautiful views of the beach and ocean. This bedroom shares a Jack 'n' Jill full bathroom with the fourth bedroom.

FOURTH BEDROOM--We consider the large fourth bedroom, Becca's room. Our daughter helped us with some of the decorating & after seeing the photo, you can tell it is definitely a kids' room!! This room has 2 FULL beds with comfy pillows to snuggle with.

Every Monday night, if you look out from the kid's window , you will see the fireworks being shot from Barefoot Landing. You can also see them from the front walkway. There's a 32' flatscreen TV and a DVD player.

We offer our guests the use of our beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, & bocce ball games. These can be found in our outside storage unit; we will send you the key!

For our exercise buffs, we have an exercise room on the second floor. You normally need a condo key to get in.

And let's not forget my husband's favorite item: the trash chute!! Trash chutes are on every floor, past the elevators.....you may need the condo key to get in!!

As you exit the elevators on the ground floor, you will see our large swimming pool, as well as the lazy river, the 1-foot kiddie pool & our favorite, the Jacuzzi, where we like to relax with a fruity beverage with umbrella (no glass--only plastic!)

We also have 4 charcoal grills (2 grills at each grilling area) They are known as the Green Eggs!

The beauty of staying at Windy Hill Dunes is that though secluded, we are minutes away from an abundance of attractions and restaurants.

Barefoot Landing, which is across Rt. 17, boasts numerous restaurants as well as great shopping!

Heading south on Rt. 17, you will encounter Restaurant Row----the name says it all! The attractions are plentiful! Just to name a few are the following: Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, Alligator Adventure, The House of Blues, Pirate Voyage, Tanger Outlet Mall, Myrtle Waves Waterpark, Broadway at The Beach (similar to Barefoot Landing but a bigger complex, which in itself hosts an IMAX theater, regular movie theater, miniature golf, Ripley's Aquarium) Colonial Mall, Waccatee Zoological Farm, a multitude of miniature golf courses, and two Super Wal-Marts, within 10-15 minutes driving distance.

And let's not forget what Myrtle Beach is also known for: Golf Courses!! My husband would be happy to recommend a few!

Per the homeowner's association rules and regulations, there are to be NO motorcycles, trailers, boats, or RV's parked on the premises.

Also, per the homeowner's association rules and regulation, rental guests are not allowed to have pets.

We are proud to say that for 3 years, we donated a week in September to raise money for the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) in Gettysburg, PA. By donating our condo, we raised $5,400 for this non-profit organization. Thank you CAC for all that you do for the children in your area!

My husband Mike, our daughter, Becca, and I live in Westminster, MD. Mike is a DC firefighter, I am a substitute teacher, and Becca is a college student. We love Myrtle Beach for the friendly, family atmosphere, the beautiful beach, & Mike loves the golf courses! We enjoy bringing our family & friends down here to enjoy these times with us & have made many memories & hope to make many more. Beautiful Condo, Great Place to Stay!

Our family and friends stayed at the Roop's condo for a week this summer and it was a great vacation. The condo was clean, very large and well stocked with everything we needed. Robin was great to work with and made everything easy from reservations, to check in and departure. Windy Hill Dunes is very in a very convenient location in NMB and was close to everything. We loved the Tommy Bahama beach chairs provided. We had no problem parking in the parking garage. The swimming pool was a little small and cold, but other than that everything else was perfect. I would definitely recommend this condo to others. We hope to come back and stay again sometime soon!

Outstanding, beautifully decorated property!!

My family stayed in this property this summer. The condo was absolutely spotless with every detail given to the needs of renters. We have been renting North Myrtle Beach condos for 20+ years, and this condo was the cleanest and most well-stocked of any in which we have ever stayed. There was absolutely nothing more we could have asked for! The kitchen pantry was stocked with staples (spices, paper products, etc.), while the cabinet under the sink was well stocked with dishwasher detergent, trash bags, even liquid soap to restock the dispensers in the bathrooms. My husband and I are accustomed to a memory-foam mattress, so we were thrilled to find such a mattress in the master bedroom! The furniture in all of the rooms was above the usual grade of furniture found in rental properties. The owners' closet contained items that were wonderful for the beach (umbrellas, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, etc.). It was great not having to tote those items from home!! Mike and Robin were excellent to work with and were responsive to every email and phone call. From the time we made our first inquiry until the day we occupied the property, the owners were extremely helpful! Our family would highly recommend this property, and it is our hope that we will have the opportunity to stay in this lovely property again in the future.

A Great Place to Stay!

What a wonderful condo to stay in!!! We loved the location because it is right on the beach and it is close to fabulous restaurants, shopping, and fun activities. For those who do not know about Hoskins Restaurant on Main Street (just a short 8 minute drive from the condo), they have the best seafood!!! We ate there twice because it was sooooo good! With that said though, the condo's kitchen is well equipped for both cooking meals and storing left overs. The furniture on the balcony is super comfortable and we spent a lot of time sitting outside and enjoying the view. It is great that the condo's owners offer their beach chairs & toys for guests to use, but we took the easy way out and rented the chairs & umbrellas that were already set up on the beach. Parking was never an issue...we always found a spot to park in the parking garage. As a bonus, the owners, Robin and Mike, were very easy to work with and we found them very responsive to our questions and needs. If ever we have a need to rent such a big condo again, we will certainly be back!!

Nice Condo - Dishonest Cleaning Crew!

The photos posted on this listing are dead on! It is a gorgeous home, very spacious, with a great layout. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and more. We cooked most nights. It was very convenient to have beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. already at the house as well. It was relaxing to take nice morning walks around the neighborhood and the beach. Our week was very nice.

Our party consisted of two couples, our elderly mother, and two 14 yr. old grand-daughters. I took pictures of the property upon arriving, and to sent the pictures of problems immediately to the owner. The owner also gave me a phone number to reach them with any problems. Upon arriving we found numerous problems. Hinges were broken on kitchen cabinets, stains on furniture, ripped sofa skirt (from someone's wheelchair), master bedroom nightstand was broken, etc. The "trustworthy" cleaning crew left the owner's personal door open with keys in the door. This held towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and all their personal items. They also had a bag of clean towels under the bed in one of the masters. Pictures were taken and we then called the owners, and she called her handyman and he came and repaired the problems and took keys left by crew.

We cleaned the house until it was spotless the morning of our departure. We left the towels and sheets in the bath tub as instructed. The cleaning crew sent the owner pictures of towels that were not ours. These towels were grey, but they stated the towels had black stains on them, along with sheets. I wish I could post these. Also, peach colored smears on towels they said would not come out. The owner did state her daughter used Proactive and this happen to her towels in the past. My grand-daughters use soap, water and lotion. I was sent a picture of a curtain rod with the top screw or nail pull slightly out of the wall. My husband could have fixed this if it were there before we left. We took pride in leaving this condo spotless. We had access to clean towels, etc. under the bed in the master. If we had not taken pictures upon arriving, I do believe we would have been charged with all the repairs the handyman did. Money was deducted from our security deposit and this is fine. We would have rather they kept the entire deposit than to insult our honesty and character. Shameful!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind words describing our home. Mike & I take great pride in ensuring our guests enjoy our home as much as we do! I'm sorry that you encountered so many issues during your stay. With each guest rental, I send an information sheet--the first paragraph asks you to look around & call us with any problems, which you did. The broken hinge on the door under the kitchen sink was resolved within about an hour from the time we spoke....the keys from our closet were also removed at that time. And the nightstand drawer has been fixed as well. I have perused through the pix you sent me at the beginning of your stay,as well as your email and I do not see any pix or mention of stained furniture. We do have a clear plastic, zipped-up bag of towels under the bed--these are ours--they should be marked with a sticker that says "owners" on it. They are extras that we could not fit in our closet! In regards to the curtain rod. The pix I sent to you was sent to me by the cleaning crew the very day of your departure. Since you had not mentioned there was an issue with it at the beginning or during your stay, there was only one conclusion. And that was fixed that afternoon before the next set of guests arrived. The towels that remained stained were washed 3 times--each time using a different stain remover. There were additional towels & some sheets that had stains as well but they were able to salvage those. When I spoke of my daughter using Proactive, that was 10 years ago, before we owned our condo....I was using that as an example of perhaps why the towels looked like they were bleached. I will stand up for my cleaning crew as they are fabulous...I get the same folks cleaning each week and they always let me know how the unit looks after a guests' departure. I did deduct a small amount from your security deposit check....only enough to cover the actual cost to replace the few towels and to have the curtain rod fixed. I would never overcharge someone as that is not in our nature.

High Expectations Exceeded

After reading all the previous outstanding reviews of this place and all the kind words said about the owners, my family had to check it out for ourselves...and our high expectations were exceeded! We have come to North Myrtle Beach for many years and never stayed in an environment so clean and prepared to host its weekly guests. Not a spec of sand on the floor anywhere! The other highlight of renting this unit was dealing directly with the owners. Robin made the transaction seamlessly comfortable, while answering all my questions in a very personal and timely manner. Oh, and no need to pack that bulky beach gear for your vacation. They provide an attached unit that stocks everything (beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, boogie boards, a large cooler, etc). Thank you Robin and Mike for a wonderful place to call home for a week. We plan on staying here for all future visits.

Awesome place!!

We rented this condo august 2013, we had the most amazing time, condo is beautiful and very nice!! the whole family loved it, and the view was amazing. My foster son got engaged here also, it was so sweet!! thank you so much for such an amazing place and we have the most awesome vacation with all our children and their significant others and my youngest brought a friend and they loved the room with the 2 beds...we def will try and come back..Thanks again, and Robin was always reachable!! Thanks again and i would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
