Cyprina Beach#6 - Enchanting Vacation Home on Beach Front

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,808 sq. ft.
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 7 - 14 nights

About the property

Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Den, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

A wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico awaits you in this 2-story stilted townhouse with a wrap-around porch, remodeled and extended in late 2008. Cyprina Beach 6 is a charming, comfortable, updated condo and perfect for this vacation and the future! Relax by the pool or on your lanai, walk and shell on the beach, watch for dolphins, or bike to "Old Sanibel" at the East End of Sanibel and the Sanibel Lighthouse for special memories to take home.

Sanibel is a barrier island connected to the mainland by a 3-mile-long causeway that stretches from the southern reaches of Fort Myers out across Pine Island Sound, where the Caloosahatchee River empties into the Gulf of Mexico.

Created by nature to protect the mainland, the palm- and pine-tree lined islands are famous for their beaches and the incredible variety of shells on their shores. And also for their reluctance to allow too many intrusions of the modern world: there are no stoplights on either island, and buildings on Sanibel are “no taller than the tallest palm tree."

Sanibel has been used variously as stopovers for Spanish explorers and resorts for the rich and famous, including one very special cartoonist, Jay Norwood Darling who helped create the more than 6,400-acre national wildlife refuge that bears his name.

Visitors to the island enjoy not only the natural, ungroomed beaches, but also the languid pace of island life, great restaurants, theater, small museums.

Please use a search engine to look for "The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel" . This will lead you to the official website of the "Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau" with a complete overview of local destinations.

There are numerous direct flights from many cities in the US to Ft. Myers International Airport (RSW). From the airport it is only a 30 minutes drive to Sanibel Island.

The condo is very spacious with a great layout for a family. Great quiet location on the island.

We loved the big windows and large screened lanai with huge sliding doors to allow the breeze and light in, my boys especially loved the perch off of the second bedroom. Such a unique and beautiful condo in a nice small setting with lovely gardens. Great views of the pool and even the gulf from the master and the dining room. Spacious kitchen and laundry room. It was great having a garage for our bikes and beach toys. Washer and dryer in the home is so convenient! Some of the furnishings are a bit dated and worn and the master bed isn't the most comfortable but all in all we loved staying here and would love to come back! Thank you for sharing your home away from home with us!

A beautiful condo on a wonderful island

  • 5 of 5

Sanibel is a wonderful destination for nature lovers and families: unspoiled nature and beaches, shells and birds, architecture respecting the landscape, biking as preferred mode of transportation.

This condo is perfectly located next to one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the island. It is within a short hiking/biking distance (1 mile) from the Sanibel Sea School, Pinocchio's ice cream parlor and the lighthouse - dream destinations for kids. 5-10 minutes driving distance to the Dunes Golf & Tennis, Jerry's grocery store and plenty of restaurants. 15 minutes to Ding Darling Wildlife Preserve and Tarpon Bay kayaking and sea tours. 30 minutes to Captiva Island.

The unit itself is clean and nicely furnished in "island style". As mentioned by other reviewers, nice view of the pool and the gulf. Three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, very efficiently laid out.

Wonderful - the owners listing under promises and over delivers!

This is a wonderful unit. Very comfortable decor, nice layout, probably the best view of the pool and the gulf. Allows you to sit on the porch and see both the pool (for watching kids, friends) and to also see the gulf in the distance. The pool was heated to a comfortable 85 degrees, and has been recently redone completely. The landscaping and grounds are spectacular and kept clean and neat, especially in the pool area that you view. The pool area is quiet. The young children we encountered were well behaved. The view from this unit is perfect being overlooking the pool with a nice view of the gulf looking over the pool. At night instead of looking at a black gulf view, you see the beautifully lit pool, with palm trees around. The beach is accessed from a boardwalk from the pool. All the properties in the area have a similar distance to walk to the beach but this property is landscaped all the way along the boardwalk and makes for a nice entrance.

Nice garage area, parking for 3 cars.

The master bath has a 60" shower and a 5ft tub/shower, then their is another full bath accessed from the hallway on the 2nd floor, then on the first floor a 3/4 bath. There is a den on the 1st floor has couch that folds out to a double bed, and the couch in the living room also folds out to a double bed.

Walk or bike to Grandma Dots, Lighthouse cafe, Pinochio's, little farther to Lazy Flamingo, Traders, all favorites. Park your car and walk or ride.

Beautiful Sanibel

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Sanibel. The pool was delightful and we loved taking walks on the beach and watching the beautiful sunsets! We had stayed there a few years ago and it was just as wonderful as we remembered.

In Paradise

  • 5 of 5

We totally enjoyed our stay at Cyprina Beach! Your vacation home was everything the pictures and description stated. We loved sitting out on the Lanai and watching the Osprey, Pelicans, and the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Our favorite thing is the morning walks to the lighthouse, collecting shells and hoping to see the dolphins playing in the water. This is the first time since coming to Sanibel that we have had an entire complex all to ourselves. We truly enjoyed this experience as it was peaceful and quiet, something we both really needed.

We have been coming to Sanibel Island since 2000. Every year we talk about going to another place but the lure of the island keeps calling us back. We enjoying spending time bike riding, playing miniature golf and shopping at Periwinkle Place. This year we tried a new restaurant on the Island called George and Wendy's Bar and Grill and the atmosphere and food was great. Of course we frequented our favorites, Lazy Flamingo for the best peel and eat shrimp, The Hungry Heron, Sanibel Cafe, Pinocchio's for the best Italian ice cream and of course the famous Bubble Room on Captiva.

We were disappointed this year that Grandma Dots was closed and we missed the best Key Lime Pie on the Island. Another recommendation would be to take the Key West Express on Ft. Myers Beach for spending a day in Key West. It was awesome!

Klaus and Sigi, thank you for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us. We enjoyed conversing with you in planning our stay and one day hope to meet the both of you. We definitely will recommend your property to others and will return for future vacations.
