This was a great retreat home for our girl's weekend getaway! The bedrooms are spacious, so we had plenty of privacy; the open floor plan of the living areas are very comfortable and inviting. The back deck and gardens are absolutely beautiful; soaking in the hot tub overlooking the vineyards was a very relaxing. The owners have taken the time to provide small touches like games, books and a very well stocked kitchen. The home was very clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect for downtown shopping, restaurants, hiking trails and visiting wineries.
We found this home excellent for our family of 5. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub. The evening sunset was especially enjoyable at the picnic table in the back garden.
Just a few notes to keep in mind. Using the washer & dryer is discouraged, but hair dryers, towels And other amenities are plentiful.
My girlfriends and I attended a wine festival for the weekend and this was a great central location! We could be in the heart of Healdsburg for shopping and dining in only a few minutes and we were also in a central location for all the wineries that participated in the festival. The house was cute, clean and had most of the essential amenities. The one bathroom was not very functional since there was nowhere to put your toiletries while in the claw-foot tub shower... but was a minor inconvenience considering how great everything else was at the house!
We loved the hot tub! It's a beautiful setting on the edge of a vineyard and next to a small rose garden, made it very enjoyable after returning to the house from a long day of travel!
We would definitely stay at this property again!
Vine Haven combines the close proximity to lively downtown Healdsburg with the peace and quiet of rural wine country. My favorite spot is the hot tub, under the stars, on the edge of a bucolic vineyard. Inside, the spacious kitchen is well-equipped and streamlined, and the clean, uncluttered rooms have all the modern comforts of a hotel.
This is a really wonderful rental. The views are spectacular. Sitting out in the back yard looking over the beautiful vineyards picnicking on salumi, fresh bread, and local cheeses drinking Tempier Bandol rose, I felt like Robert freakin' Mondavi! The house itself is nice and clean. The bathrooms/showers could use some updating but they give the house a rustic feeling and were fine for a short stay. The grill was well appreciated and the jacuzzi was awesome at night under a full moon. Going down the Russian River in a canoe could have been skipped, but Barndiva is a must go eating experience! Overall, great trip and we would certainly return.
What a great location! So close to many great wineries, and a nice easy walk into Healdsburg. We stayed in January 2012, and were able to enjoy the wonderful warm weather all weekend long without the crowds of other months. The spa is lovely, with a view into neighboring vineyards. The house is comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. We hated to leave the great kitchen, but with so many wonderful places to eat in Healdsburg, we had to try some of them. Can't wait to come back!
