Perfect Place to Relax and Watch the Whales

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

The panoramic views of this oceanfront home explain why Depoe Bay is known as the “Whale Watching Capital of the World” and you can enjoy whale watching from all levels of this newly remodeled home.

All living areas have spectacular views and access to outdoor decks. Two small decks and one large deck overlook the ocean and are perfect for sunbathing and watching the constant activity of boats leaving and returning from Depoe Bay Harbor – known as the “Smallest Harbor in the World.”

This unique, casual home has three bedrooms with queen size beds (two of the three bedrooms are master suites), four full bathrooms (two on each floor), two fully equipped kitchens and two living areas, which makes this perfect for family reunions.

The upstairs kitchen has been newly remodeled to include a center island, great for being able to cook while you visit with family and view the ever changing beauty of the ocean.

Go up the spiral stair case to a loft overlooking the upper floor with a double size futon for extra sleeping.

Still need more room... all three couches fold out for yet more sleeping areas.

Downstairs snuggle up by the gas fireplace for a quick nap, good book or just to watch the waves.

There is plenty of room to spread out, play games, and watch TV and movies as well as surf the hi-speed internet.

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood, where you can walk to restaurants, shops, deep-sea fishing, and whale watching excursions. This house is minutes away from Lincoln City, Newport, and Salishan Golf Course and Spa as well as the sandy beaches of Fogarty Creek and Beverly Beach.

Whales, Great Weather and Awesome Depoe Bay Views!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great time at this very casual and warm rental property. It surpassed our expectation. We forgot to bring our own pillows and this was our only regret.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy Depoe Bay that has 6 plus people in their family or party.

The furniture has some excessive wear but in a positive way, lets you relax and not worry about being overly cautious.

The best aspect of this property is the spectacular view. We will return!

Whales 24 hours a day!

  • 4 of 5

I borrowed those words from my friend's FB posting. I stayed here with 5 friends for a couple of days so our visitors from Idaho could enjoy the coast. All agreed that this is a great house for a get together to enjoy some good food and wine, fabulous whale watching and the ocean. With 4 bathrooms there was never a wait and there were enough beds to go around. We loved all the room and of course, those fantastic ocean views. You're off the highway so your noise is ocean waves, not the road. It was very convenient to stroll to town for dinner and shopping. We're already talking about visiting again next year!

Great location and plenty of room.

  • 5 of 5

It was the perfect location for whale watching. We saw whales all day. Sometimes the whale watching boats were right in front of the house, and the whales were at times vey close to the shore. I don't know if it's always like that or only in August when we were there.

We were three couples and each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. Very roomy with great ocean views. We enjoyed it immensely.

Both the house and the interesting views made for a special stay for us. Best whale watching from shore we've ever had.

Great view of the whales, but not a great place to stay

  • 3 of 5

We arrived this place for our July 4th weekend with another family. The garbage was full and our house cleaner didn't finish until almost 5pm. Downstairs of the house wasn't cleaned at all...sofa has lots of spots, floor doesn't have carpet with spots, so we didn't use downstairs. Coffee in the kitchen was expired in 2016. Main floor is good with many viewing opportunities of the whales. We had better experience with other properties in Depoe Bay in the past years.

Relaxing getaway with beautiful views and comfortable space!

  • 5 of 5

Spent a weekend with my family over a long weekend at the house. We each had plenty of space to stay and lounge and relax such that we were comfortable in our rooms and private bathrooms but were able to easily all hang out in the common area as well. The large front windows showed a beautiful view of the oceanfront where we were able to see countless whales spouting and swimming around the bay. The home was clean and well stocked for our use. Also it is very close to town with easy access to drive or walk where we wanted. I wish we could've stayed longer! Would definitely recommend!!
