Redburn Street is situated off Flood Street leading up to Kings Road, and our flat is located in one of the Victorian houses that line the street. Owned by an interior designer, this is a very attractively furnished and decorated flat. It is very quietly situated, but within easy walking distance to the Kings Road and all the shops and restaurants.
Down eight steps of non-slip polished granite to lower ground patio area, then past the bay windows of the sitting room to the front door of the flat. Enter straight into the sitting room which has a stone flagged passage through to the kitchen. You can see straight through to the beautifully paved and walled garden, so there is a feeling of lightness in the flat.
The sitting room area is carpeted, and is comfortably furnished with arm chairs and a sofa, some occasional chairs and tables. There is a working gas fire and book shelves either side of the fireplace. TV, DVD and internet access.
There is under-floor heating throughout the flat. The bedroom has an air-conditioning unit and has a 6’ (king-size) bed and a chest of drawers on each side of the bed. There is a small dressing area with a linen cupboard, and this leads through to a wet room with marble tiled shower area (no bath), hand basin and toilet. There are large hanging cupboards in the passage outside the bedroom door.
The good-sized kitchen is well equipped with washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer, and there is a table to seat six. From the kitchen doors (with security locks) you go out to the lovely walled garden (approximately 15’ x 16’) with a table and chairs – this area can be lit up in the evenings.
The whole flat is beautifully and immaculately decorated and is very well lit. Frosted glass velux windows in the bathroom and dressing area give natural light to the bedroom.
Sleeps 2 people Nearest tube: Sloane Square is a ten minute walk. Buses also run to Sloane Square tube station - just a few minutes ride.
Minimum one week, and thereafter, additional nights are pro-rated.
For our 8 days in London, my husband and I wanted a flat were we could spread out, eat in if we wanted to, and relax after long days of sightseeing. This property was perfect. Air conditioning (if necessary), WiFi and a true American king-sized bed were very important to us and King’s Road 3 had it all. Meticulously maintained and beautiful inside and out, this flat is in a safe and quiet neighborhood but only two blocks from the King’s Road where shops, restaurants (three of the best in London) and food emporia abound. The closest Tube station, Sloane Square, is a mile away (a 15-minute walk). The owners left us a comprehensive folder with instructions for appliances in the flat and tips on things to do, and how to do them, in the area. This was truly a home-away-from- home and we would gladly stay here again. Ivy Lettings, the agency arranging the rental, were a joy to work with. We could not recommend this flat more highly!
We have rented flats in London often, and this was perhaps the nicest. It is comfortable, very attractive, and has a fully-equipped kitchen for those who, like us, enjoy cooking in. The location is exceptional, with access to just about anything. The major museums are a fifteen-minute walk (and the Saatchi is closer), the Thames is nearby, and (unusual for us in London), there is easy access to a first-rate supermarket. Actually, Kings Road, two blocks or so away, offers just about anything one might need. In addition, Sue and Emily, who manage the rental of the flat, are unusually caring and attentive and a pleasure to work with. This was a wonderful experience for us, and we fully intend to return.
My wife and I stayed here in April/May 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is very comfortable and a terrific location for a stay in London. The flat is roomy and well appointed. It is in the heart of Chelsea and close to Chelsea Physic Garden, the riverside, Kings Road, and Sloane Square. We generally ate very well at restaurants and pubs within walking distance from the apartment. There are several nearby markets and grocers and we ate light meals at the apartment. The flat has a sunny patio area that's perfect for winding down with coffee, tea, or wine in the afternoon. On our daily jaunts we'd figure out where to catch transportation within a couple of blocks of the place and then head out to use the wonderful transportation system using our Oyster cards. If we come back to London this will be our first choice of a place to stay.
This is a beautifully renovated one bedroom propert very spacious comfortable and in an absolutely superb location just off the great shops of Kings Road and an easy ten minute walk to the tube station and all kinds of buses at Sloane Square. Only problem was a bedroom that wasn't very dark because of skylight and non see thru glass door to bathroom. Other than that it was perfect
What a lovely garden flat. Situated on a quiet street just steps from shopping and restaurants on bustling Kings Road Perfectly finished...just as billed! We had a lovely visit with family and friends during the Olympics. The location was very central for our needs and we hope to get back for another stay in the future. Heart of London was great as was the liaison that met us upon arrival. Everything worked as planned! I would definitely recommend this property and the agency associated! Thanks
We had a relaxing 9 nights in this gorgeous flat. It was spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen top notch. It was also very quiet. We felt relaxed as soon as we walked in the door, the decor is impeccable and soothing and although the flat is semi-basement at the entry level, it opens out at the rear to a lovely big courtyard garden that was wonderful to sit out in on a summer's morning or evening after a hard day's sightseeing. The living room was welcoming with an assortment of books and guide books. My only criticism is that it could do with another sofa as the chairs weren't all that comfy to sit in. The the sofa was great to curl up on with a book. This apartment was well sited on Redburn Street a short stroll from Kings Road, Chelsea where you could catch a number of buses into the city (which we prefer as you get to see more!) Sloane Square tube station is only a 7-10 minute walk away if you prefer that instead. We would definitely choose to stay here again as we very much enjoyed our stay. The management company looked after us very well and were very prompt with requests or queries. In spite of staying 9 nights we actually didn't get to sample any of the many local pubs as we tended to eat out in London during the day and eat in at night or go out to friends. There are supermarkets close by (5-10 min walk) for plenty of variety of groceries and I'm told the pubs are very good. Will try to visit them next time around!
