About the property

Cottage, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 7-8)

The Olde House is a stately four bedroom Oceanfront heritage home, which has been recently relocated and completely renovated. Sitting majestically on the cliff-side of Browns Cape in Little Pond, P.E.I., this fabulous home overlooks the beautiful Northumberland Strait.

This home has been owned and lovingly nurtured by the MacDonald Family since it was built in 1888. The Olde House retains its historical charm, while providing all the conveniences of a modern family home.

Guests can enjoy relaxing on the wrap around deck while listening to the gentle sound of the waves, or leisurely swing in the hammock while being serenaded by the songs of seabirds as they return to their nesting sites in the sloping sandstone cliffs.

Nestled within a 90 acre wildlife protection area, this home provides guests with privacy and peacefulness, as well as the ability to interact and commune with nature. The picturesque views include a collage of the famous red island soil fields, the cool blue water of the strait and a proliferation of greenery.

The property provides a stairway, which allows guests access to the peaceful shore. While there, visitors can experience the rise and fall of the tides, swim or snorkel and the more adventures can enjoy the serenity of ocean kayaking. During relaxing family walks, children can enjoy the adventure of searching for special keepsakes of shells, rocks and sea glass.

Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy rounds at their choice of three world class courses, all located within a 30 minute drive.

Home away home

This place is a hidden gem. Perfect place to get away from the city & relax. Landlord (Nancy) is a very nice person, she make sure we are like at our home. It's next to the beach, you can catch lobster or crab easily.

Fantastic PEI experience

  • 5 of 5

Friends and I stayed at the Olde House May 2016 and could not have had a better time. The house was large and comfortable. We enjoyed a relaxing week watching the tide come in and out, great walks on the beach directly in front of the property and catching the sun from decks on three sides of the house. Nancy the owner was so friendly and helpful. She directed us to the nearby town of Souris where we found everything we needed , especially some great PEI seafood! Highly recommend this beautiful location.

We stayed at this very comfortable spacious home last summer and loved every minute. Here is just a few things that our family loved… The outdoor shower was a big hit ~ The big deck with lots of chairs was very inviting for anyone to enjoy the wonderful views ~ The WiFi was a great asset to have ~ The kayaking was a lot of fun not to mention the many walks on the beach. This property is a wonderful get-away for any family to enjoy.

Great spot with a terrific view

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week in the summer of 2016. The home and property are beautiful. You can actually hear the waves crashing on the shore below. We ran out of propane for the BBQ and the owner had someone come in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend this spot to others for sure.
