House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)
Indulge yourself in this charming cabin-like home in the Lake Almanor Country Club that offers the best of both worlds. Located on a .5 acre wooded lot on a quiet cul-de sac street. No neighbor's homes are visible from the house or the 2 (TWO) expansive decks.....they run the length of the house! Enjoy dramatic sunset views of the lake from the decks or from any room on the main floor of the house. When you're in the mood to play, take advantage of the 9 hole golf course, tennis courts, or 2 sandy beach areas ..all located within the Country Club. Nearby is Mount Lassen National Park ...described by Sunset magazine as 'California's Hidden Treasure....the West's most beautiful, least visited wonderland '. In the winter, there is near-by snowmobiling, hunting, snow-shoeing, Nordic skiing and even a small downhill ski area....not Tahoe but good family fun!
And of course there's boating...sailing, power, kayaking or jet-skis. For boat owners, you can rent a slip at the nearby marine (daily or weekly) or launch daily from the country club's ramps ( about 1 mile away from Rec. Area 1 & Rec. Area 2). Off street parking for trailer/boat available on the property.
We've gone to great lengths to make sure you will have all that you might need to be comfortable...from family games and reading materials to wine glasses! DVD and VCR (how old school) players and Wi-Fi available through-out. So, come enjoy.

About Christa Herman
I enjoy the 'great outdoors' and all the activities that it has to offer...in all seasons. Enjoy working hard and playing hard. Have done a fair amount of travel but its always nice to have a peaceful retreat to return home to as well.
Christa Herman purchased this House in 2009
Why Christa Herman chose Lake Almanor Country Club
The Lake Almanor area offers the best of all possible worlds. Lots to do outdoors , with beautiful scenery but not over developed like Tahoe. Ample snow in the winter and yet warm water in the summer. Lassen National Park is nearby is rated one of the least visited National Park in the US ( means less crowded !!)

Perfect family get away location!
Owner was easy to work with and very accommodating for our last minute trip due to a funeral and our family cabin being full! The house was clean and the kitchen has all you need for a small meal or large feast. Beautiful views! Will stay again with out hesitation!
Feels Like You're Living in a Tree House
Absolutely beautiful house with 4 bedrooms & 2 baths. Views are unbelievable and with lots of room as wells as very quiet & private. It is multi-level so there are some stairs but aside from unpacking on arrival or packing up before leaving, the house & location more than make up for that. We enjoyed watching deer in both the front & back yard plus lots of other wildlife. There is a deck that surrounds the whole back yard plus a great BBQ which is where we spent most of our time. I would recommend this house to anyone that loves to be outdoors with forest & lake views. If you need groceries or want to eat at one of Chester's restaurants, fast food places or watch the game at one of their bars, it is only about an 8 to 10 minute drive. Loved it and will be back for sure !!!
Fantastic Four Day Stay
My husband and I totally enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Longshot Lodge. The home is clean, roomy, cozy and well stocked. Multiple large windows provide plenty of natural light. Loved view of lake from the decks. Beautiful and relaxing setting. Nice area, plenty to do and see. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Cozy and inviting
Very accommodating and professional management, exactly as described, feels secluded and private, quaint community, breathtaking and affordable.
Beautiful, Mountain Home nestled in the Forest ❤
Well-stocked kitchen, beautiful home with comfy beds and a great Fireplace, and so quiet you could hear a pin drop! Tom was a gracious host. Restful, nature getaway in the safe, fun Country Club with beautiful, crystal blue Lake Almanor views from the windows. Highly recommend this home!
Difficult parking for boats and vehicles. Great location and layout for a group of 8
Well stocked kitchen, warm showers, comfortable beds. Electric outlets near the driveway were useful for charging boat batteries.
