Quiet Lakefront Cabin with Dock, Deck, Canoe, and Rowboat

Bedrooms 2
Space 800 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 0 - 7 nights

About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Lakeside updated cabin on Crescent Lake in Raymond, ME, is just 45 minutes from Portland. We know you will enjoy vacationing here as much as our daughters and grandchildren do. Crescent Lake is a 716 acre lake in the Mountain and Lakes Region of Maine that has exceptional fishing and abounds with loons, blue herons, osprey, and nesting bald eagles. Paddling or motoring by boat from Crescent Lake down the Tenny River to Panther Pond is a beautiful trip.

Furnishings are newer family mix. The view across the lake is easterly with beautiful sunrise views from the living room and deck. Enjoy an evening paddle in the canoe or rowboat and listen to the loons, or sit on the deck and hear the breeze in the pine trees.

The half-mile driveway ends in a nature wooded setting with just our home and one neighbor's home visible through the trees. Our 5 wooded acres have our own nature walk. The lake is 80’ from the deck down a gently sloping path that leads to a dock for boating, swimming, or sunbathing.

A wooden ladder at a depth of approximately 3’ gives entry to a sandy bottom. Mooring is available for a boat up to 18’ in length. There is a public beach at each end of the lake. The boat launch is 3 miles away on Highway 85 (South end of Crescent Lake).

About The Owner

We chose Crescent Lake for our retirement location to be close to our grandchildren and enjoy water sports, especially exceptional fresh water fishing for landlocked salmon, trout, and smallmouth bass. We have updated the cabin next door for our daughter's and families to enjoy, and to share with others. When not “on the water,” we are busy with volunteer work in our community and conservation efforts on our lake. .

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2003

Why The Owner chose Raymond

We chose Crescent Lake for it's privacy, excellent water quality, and location. Shopping and a movie theater are conveniently located 15 minutes away on U.S. Rt. 302. Portland shops and dining and Freeport, ME with L.L. Bean’s original store are 45 minutes away. Conway, NH and the Storyland Amusement Park are 1 hour away. Lake Sebago and Long Lake marinas with daily boat rentals are 15 minutes away.

What makes this cabin unique

We are located on the most secluded part of the lake and love the natural, wooded shoreline that extends for several hundred yards in each direction. Our grandchildren love playing on the sandbar of an island about 100 yards from the cabin's dock. We often watch loons feeding very close to our shoreline.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"The cottage on Crescent Lake was just as pictured in the listing. It was privately situated, clean and quiet, with a lovely view. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock as well as swimming and kayaking in the clean, clear lake. Elden and Debbie were very hospitable hosts, going above and beyond what was expected. We had a great week at their place and hope to return again!"

Relaxing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable and cozy house that was perfect for our family vacation. We were able to enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming right from the dock. We listened to the loons and also got to see a bald eagle. The quiet and remote location was extremely relaxing and the owners were super helpful.

Peaceful relaxation at its best!

  • 5 of 5

The house is beautiful and the view is spectacular. We kayaked, relaxed on the hammock, watched the sun rise and set, read. The movie theater had dinner and drinks as you watched current movies. Close to Sebago Lake which had hiking paths and beautiful picturesque scenery. The owners are wonderful people. A perfect vacation!

Quaint waterfront cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband and 7 year old had a wonderful time at Crescent Lake. The cabin had everything we needed for a beautiful and restful vacation. Being right on the water, the views were amazing. We enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock... The water was crystal clear! The sandbar was a blast for my daughter as she could "scuba". There were even some nice walking trails to explore. Thank you Elden, Debbie and Bosco for a great week!

This cottage is located in a secluded area with great views of Crescent Lake. One of the best parts was the sand bar that was almost right across from the cottage. It was a perfect spot and would highly recommend this little hideaway. I am glad we found this GEM. Thank you Elden and Debbie!!

Another perfect stay

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from another extraordinary week on Crescent Lake! This year, we swam with turtles and loons, did some adventure kayaking and took delicious naps in the hammock. The weather was perfect and my daughter spent about 6 hours a day in the water. We took a day trip to nearby Portland and did some shopping in the Raymond area but, really, we never wanted to leave the lake for too long. If you're looking for a deeply relaxing spot where you can unplug from the world and get back to nature, look no further. Elden, Debbie and their dog, Bosco, have a remarkable spot to share!

Perfect, peaceful and relaxing!!

  • 5 of 5

This was a Christmas gift from my husband and it came at a perfect time. The cabin was a perfect spot for a peaceful, relaxing vacation. We used the cabin the week of July 4th-11th. The fireworks from the dock were a wonderful surprise! Sunrises from the dock, living room and bedroom were beautiful. We were on the lake kayaking and fishing each was great! The cabin is simple but had everything we needed...a well stocked kitchen, gas grill, outdoor seating, quiet space and comfortable furnishings. It was a pleasure to meet Elden and Debbie and their dog Bosco. We are talking already of going back for another perfect stay! Heid & Kevin
